  • How to Grow Pansy ( Viola Flowers ) from Seeds | Growing flowers from seed
    Pansy seed planting tips:
    1. The temperature of seed germination is controlled between 18°C and 20°C, and it can germinate in about 7 days.
    2. It is recommended to use paper towels to add water to germinate, but the germinating time should not be too long, lest the root grows too long and it is not easy to take out.
    3. Generally sowing in autumn, it will bloom in winter or spring.
    4. The seedlings should not be irradiated with strong light, and weak light is recommended. After the seedlings are formed, the light time can be extended to promote flowering.
    5.The soil for planting should not be alkaline and the salt content should not be too high. Choose fertile, well-drained, organic-rich loam or sandy loam, and keep the soil moist during the growth period.
    6. It takes more than two months from sowing to flowering.
    Have a nice day everyone!

    I did starters for pamsies in a starter tray. They are sprouting. When can i move them out of the dark? And do i move them to a window first or strait outside?

    How often do you water the plant, and are pansies house plants or do I have to keep it outside ?
    Also one more question does the brand or type of soil I use matter or will the pansies be ok in just regular potting soil

    • @DailyGarden
      @DailyGarden  2 роки тому +6

      I usually water it twice or three times a week, I plant it outdoors, the soil uses ordinary garden soil

    Hi. Would like to know what kind of climate do you have? I live in tropical, no idea if Pansies can thrive in a heated environment.

    • @DailyGarden
      @DailyGarden  2 роки тому +3

      I live in subtropical. In addition to the hot summer, Pansies can be planted in other seasons. If the ambient temperature is too high, it is really not suitable for planting Pansies.

    how often do you sprits the container with water while they germinate or do you not need to add additional waterings?

    • @DailyGarden
      @DailyGarden  2 роки тому

      Generally, one spray of water is enough, unless the paper towel is almost dry and then spray again.

    Hi question 🙋 were do I keep the container of the seeds to germinate in worm spot or cold dark or light?

    • @DailyGarden
      @DailyGarden  2 роки тому +1

      There is no requirement for this, as long as the temperature and humidity are suitable, the seeds will germinate.

    Hi there 👏
    I just want to ask when do I start giving my seeds fertiliser?
    (I only planted the seeds yesterday)
    ☺️

    • @DailyGarden
      @DailyGarden  2 роки тому +1

      I did not fertilize, this plant needs very little fertilizer, and normal garden soil is enough to provide it with nutrients. Of course, you can apply a little dilute fertilizer during its growing season if you need to.
