Me too, when they put in the exo movement abilities your range and freedom of movement went from 2d to 3d, and it made for a really interesting take on close quarters combat...honestly, I play all of the call of duty games to experience different time periods and get to know the characters and guns...

A Battlefield players perspective on this: Future is fine but not so much in such a short space of time. One future game every 3 or 4 years is okay but it's too difficult to release them every 2 (or 1?) years and expect players to stay interested.

When I saw the vtol flying up with all the other huge ships I though it was awsome to look at because it seems like thats combat in the far future, I though it was cool don't know why people hate it. I don't think it's the futuristic theme. I think that when it becomes so futuristic that there's a movement system is when people have a problem. Ghosts and Black Ops 2 were futuristic but only with a skin.

I think I know why people hate it: There are at least 3 main reasons.
Reason 1: It is the same game again.
Reason 2: Its locking Modern Warfare behind an $80 game.
Reason 3: They are locking SIX maps behind DLC. Six maps which came WITH the original Modern Warfare.

Infinite warfare had a great campaign but they could have done better with the multiplayer

Trying to compare CoD to Battlefield is like comparing Battleborn to Overwatch. They're similar at face value and you're pretty shallow to think that they are the same just because they're fps games.

Black Ops 1 was an amazing game, it was a huge step up in graphics from the older COD's, I still miss doing wager matches for COD points, getting prestiged and seeing some actual "cool" prestige icons, etc.
Black Ops 2 was our goodbye... And we didnt know... At least was a nice goodbye
Why not a post-appocalyptic Call of duty? It could take place in the future, but because of some sort of cataclysm, their reduced to using World War 1-ish weapons, mixed in with futuristic weapons.
