Robin Dewar and James Trawer born together and will always be. They came to this world for this solely purpose and did it BEAUTIFULLY... My 5 favorite songs of Robin's band perform both monsters. No doubts their greatest top successful era made it as a couple. Can't tell who backed up to as a background, Dewar's voice vocals are un equally, just needed to open his mouth and a powerful clean and clear yet angelical and delicious voice came right-angle into my ears and NEVER GOT OUT and never will so every new Robin instrumental, just need to see or hear the guitar and guess who the singer is? Must of us agree that Elvis voice was and will always be one of most Beautiful ones, just like an analogy don't want to get into trouble, surely would reach Dewar's vocals out, would you figure how bad could the sound be? And so does to the opposite point James with such vocals features and capabilities would perfectly achieve most of the very top 70's comertial luck bands, have tried to figure out how the Dewar's voice could sound like at led zepp, ac/dc or rolling stones..? Never will know, course rock genre is so important. Regardless of I started listening Robin /Dewar since 1975 and gladly enjoyed many years by listening my lifetime favorite band, can't tell if Dewar was offered by a big band or not. What I know for sure, this couple made the most impressive, sweet, heart pounding yet subtle and perfect sounding I ever heard. Simply my best rock band. Lastly, I do love, admire and much respect to the never tired of struggling, unbeatable and supernatural guitarist all timer Robin Strawer, what a kind of steel made rock & roll man. ON YOUR KNEES, ROBIN IS STILL HERE..!!! ars
So glad I got to meet The band when they played Berkeley way back in the day,the 80s. Great guys,no egos, just good guys . James rest in peace. Thank you all for such a great influence in my early music performances. Great teacher's.
This Song Gives Me The Chills From James Dewar's Vocals & Robin's Guitar Such Beautiful Words One Of My Top 10 Songs Thank You For Uploading Seen Robin Twice He Blew Me Away Everytime Wished I Could Of Seen Them With James
Another place and time not so very long ago in another frame of mind , and still I here ,that sweet sound. The call to find that pleasant peace I still long to find.DAYDREAM got me so close. Thanks Mr. Robin. . BEAR. Gm
Thing about Robin is he puts his wholeself into his playing. You can feel it down to your toes! Phenomenal. James Dewar is just as amazing. Oh yes, let's not forget Bill. One of my fav drummers of all time.
Proof, if it were needed, that a few slow notes played with feeling is so preferable all the shredding and "I can play faster than you" stuff. And... also proof, sadly, that although Trower has been through a few bassists and vocalists, Dewar has never been bettered. And probably never will be.
Straight business! I am always astonished when I hear him play, his phrasing and the obvious passion is just amazing. We can only hope many young artists hear, learn and record his work. Be well and safe, peace to you and yours.
Surely can state this trower solo is the most sensorial activator sound ever listened to. In Spanish language ** Este sonido de la guitarra pura es tan chingon que levanta hasta los pitos, vaya categoria de Robin, soy latino y santana es buenisimo pero este carajo es un marciano**
James was such a perfect fit for this band, I'll never understand why Robin did not look to fill his spot with someone who had the same sound, feel & soul he had... I also NEVER liked any of the later vocals...
Yes, his sound changed with the VOTF album. Before that he used balls-to-the-walls 100watt super leads...here in this vid he's using master volume. Still very much loud, just more grit and grind, IMO.
I find it most interesting to compare audience reactions to this formidable trio. If they had been in the USA I'm assuming that there would have been much hooting and hollering following every lick, as that is my experience in both UK and USA. It doesn't particularly bother me as whatever floats your boat is fine, but the noisy reaction before the song's end I find a little irritating it has to be said.
Ive been listening to that song for 40 years and it never gets old.
James Dewar singing playing the bass is not easy. He was the master of it all. RIP Beautiful Soul
Irreplaceable Rock-n-Roll LEGEND
It's my favorite all-time guitarist guitarist guitarist there I said it three!!!😂
Definitely one of the most epic voices in all of blues/rock. RiP JD

we were children in the garden. bless the band.
The days go sailing by
Fantastic
Trower....es...bluesssssssss......!!!!
Another tough guitarist bad azz Robin
WOW!
We were spellbound.
Stevie Ray learned everything from our friend ROBIN TROWER!!!
no Stevie learned from Jimmie von and countless hours in his room playing but no disrespect to Robin Trower

Great song isn't it! Super Smooth and just the right amount of edge.
Fav song.. next to Bridge of Sighs
James was such a perfect fit for this band, I'll never understand why Robin did not look to fill his spot with someone who had the same sound, feel & soul he had... I also NEVER liked any of the later vocals...
Trower Is A GOD!
Play it robin

Dewar's eyes always look so sad.
Soulful....
My Momma made that "Ribbon Shirt" he is wearing!
If Robin and Jimi jammed together?
HEY CHANTEL THIS IS HOW YOU PLAY IT.
if you like Canadian trio's.... check out UZEB..... out standing fusion combo with a superb guitar player

JD the voice
Robin playing the"new", soon to be the JCM 800, JMP 50watt master volume Marshalls.
These are the JMP fawn tolex series 1977-1981. The JCM 800s have black grillcloth on the amp heads but are still the same circuit for the 2203/2204
He used two of the fawn cabinets at the show I saw in 2014. The guitar tech said the speakers were replaced with vintage 30s
These were the best Marshall’s ever, I had them
I still have my JCM-800 after 30 years.
✌️🙂❤️🇺🇲⭐
Or is it
best trio ever? well maybe second place behind Cream.
Definitely in the top five with Cream, Rush, Triumph and ZZ Top. Not necessarily in that order, depending on what day of the week it is.
brettt777 been trying to download triumph live up have brilliant taste in Ole stool sounds mean mbo
Have you ever been experienced?
Truce - Robin Trower and Jack Bruce. A hybrid.
RT is way better player than EC imho.
I think I'm tripping
Was James Dewar already sick in 1980? He does not look good here.
Learning More not sure sounds great though haha
Dewar and Cornell imo
These dudes milk this song, damn.
