Never seen someone so willfully misunderstand every aspect of a film. Making huge judgements on characters while not paying attention to major plot information given in the movie. And the fact that you consistently hated Dae-Su while loving and praising Woo-jin to the end is just bizarre and creepy.
the word 'cluelessness' is invented for this kind, wonder how these people pass English class (where you have to write essays on literature) in school...reminds me of a former co-worker I had once who lamented 'this movie is so boring, who even dresses like that' after seeing 'LA Confidential'...goes to show how many of them are out there judging by +2K subscribers she has
I think the end of the movie is that Do Su still hasn't forgotten that memory. Because of his smile at the end of the movie. A smile hides many things, but is very painful. So I think he will carry that memory for the rest of his life, forever. He's also dumb, which proves he's just holding onto that secret alone and suffering it alone for the rest of his life.
It's not clear in the end whether the hypnosis worked or not. The director didn't tell the main actor, but the actor felt like he has to choose and he decided that that the hypnosis didn't work. So that face at the end was more like a face of pain
In my personal interpretation, the hypnosis worked in his conscious mind, but deep down in his subconscious he knows, I think its more tragic that way.
@@AthosJosue Yeah, it is more tragic in your interpretation, because if he simply didn't forget there is at least a chance of maybe telling her the truth and going to therapy after that. But if only a part of him remembers then she will never find the truth and he will suffer psychologically
"Why it's ok for him to do it but not them?" Because he was in prison with no ability to see a woman for 15 years, and was a sex crazed. He was on auto drive. And he stopped anyway when she protested and beat him. They, on the other hand, have her tied and might even kill him and her.
So you think if had a set of gonads, and were kidnapped, tortured, deprived of sex and human touch for 15 years , you would be able to control yourself when a pretty woman invited you home? And her desire for him even then, which he likely sensed, means nothing to you ? I am fascinated by the lack of empathy, it's so extreme. How can you not see that he has to passively, and guiltily watch himself do that just as you would lunge to grab food from even a child's hand if you were starved for 2 months? It's zero reflection on his character, everyone could do that. And "this guy" is the main victim in the movie. His daughter doesn't know, it is he who lives with the torturous knowledge and guilt. And you love the bad guy who caused every single bit of incest and murder in the movie.
@@scarlettmasquerade How is that a choice? And are you downplaying 15 years (thousands of instances) of physical and psychological torture? And thats no different than rape. I feel confident saying that, as I have been raped myself, i feel confident to . Neither person had a choice there. And that's made clear, he was trying it and didn't want to (he immediately kicked himself out), she was not trying it, and did want to (she said actually i want it,but not now). Get your sociopathy and lack of human empathy check out, it's evident throughout your movie reaction
Nice reaction to one of my favorite movies. I'd say it's better on a 2nd watch, at least it was in my experience. I'd highly recommend 'Thirst' by the same director, imo underrated film that doesn't get as much attention as it deserves.
Choi Min Sik curses are the best lol plz try Nameless gangster and I saw the devil. both bit hadcore. and also soft k dramas Extraordinary attorney Woo and more

Pearls before swine is what comes to mind. This is what happens when your ideology does not let you dig deeper than the surface.

Are you defending rape right now?? That’s a choice

But... he's hot!
Men don't have empathy so it's funny to see men talking about it lol
Hope this means you’re back doing movie reactions!
this movie would have been much better if he just erased his memories and lived alone in the end. But he didn't.
Great reaction!!
