    There is oxygen in water, especially in hydroponics- it’s a crucial step in that type of set up. On my mycorrhizae it actually says it can be used in hydro, just used a little differently. So, I thought you’d be interested in that- since you said it couldn’t ❤️💚

      I’ve read that myco can live in well-oxygenated hydroponics set ups except they just won’t multiply, but I’ve also been told that it simply doesn’t work 🤔 either way I haven’t tried it myself but I’ll pin this comment for clarification to anyone else reading ❤️❤️ thank you Cassie!!

    Great questions and even better answers. The info on apical vs axillary buds and spent nodes was super helpful. I'm waiting to get some mycorrhizal fungi in the mail, so I'm looking forward to whatever info you can provide. Such a fascinating subject--I could see myself going down a serious rabbit hole there.

      Such an incredibly fascinating part of the plant underground and I definitely have a lot more research to do before I feel comfortable talking about it! Please let me know how it works for you when you try it 🍄

    I love these type of vids! There's so many diff ways of doing things and it's all a learning process. I just wanna know how you do things! I relate better to casual videos and think to myself "maybe I CAN do this" .. vs structured.. everything seems perfect and unobtainable.

      I’m so glad to hear!! I also enjoy hearing people’s thought processes, and plant care is not that black and white. Thank you Lindsay ❤️

    Enjoyed all your videos so far. I think this type of unstructured video is perfectly fine. I prefer things a little more easy going and relatable.

    I had the same problem with my variegated subhastatum! The stem rotted from one side. I had to scrapped half of the stem and I wasn't hoping it'll root but it did! It just took a really long time.

    Systemic works really well on mealies! Especially root mealies! The only thing systemic doesn’t work with is for mites

      It’s not listed as one of the pests that imidacloprid is effective on (on my bottle) but I do hope you’re right!! I’ll keep using it on mealies anyway!

    When you plant a cutting of mini monstera do you cover the top of the stem?

    Looking forward to the import video! I got a cf Besseae last year from Equaflor-a but it looks different from the photos I've seen and is a much lighter green. I'm going to try again and get the cf Besseae dark this time if it's available 🤞 I'm currently in the process of selling some plants to make room & cash for imports haha Another great video, love your channel!

      I think I recall them selling a cf besseae green form sometime last year, maybe that’s what the sent you?
      I’m so looking forward to the import too, I need some excitement in my life 😆

      @@youdontevengrowhere ahh yes, green form would fit the one I ended up with. Definitely more attracted to the darker form variety. 🤞🤞

    I’m curious as to where you get a lot of your info from. I’m relatively new to houseplants and would love to dive into more of the fine details of the hobby but don’t have a great resource to turn to. Do you have specific websites or is mainly just UA-cam/experience?

    • @youdontevengrowhere
      @youdontevengrowhere  2 роки тому

      I would say the majority of the info I have is from my own experience and sharing experiences between friends, and the more scientific info is mostly from Facebook groups (I love the Philodendron/Anthurium Enthusiasts groups!). I actually don’t get much info from websites because I prefer to search Facebook for info - I find that plant care info on the web is usually much more black and white and I much prefer gathering anecdotes from individual growers and form my own opinion because what works for some people might not work for everyone!
