Just made this for dinner. I filled them with left over birria & queso. I added a little more water to the masa & it was just perfect! My family loves that I found you because I'm constantly inspired by all your food!
These can be filled with just about anything and it’s a great way to use up leftover :) I am very happy to have you here! ☺️ Thank you so much!
That’s a pupusa?
I had Gorditas made like these in Saltillo, Mexico! Filled like a pupusa, but they called them gorditas nonetheless! 🙂
So excited to have a recipe like the ones I had so long ago… I’ve never forgotten them! 😁
gorditas are one of the best mexican foods 100000%
That looks absolutely amazing
Oh thank goodness I found your video. I had one of these the other day. Cured my hangover. I'm soo making these for dinner.
las hare Gracias
I’ve been cooking chorizo the wrong way!! Thanks so much for this recipe.😋😋🤩🤩
Looks muy delicioso!! 😋
this looks so good. my fam about to eat delicious tonight ❤
Parece como arepas
Similar recipes nut named differently depending on what part of latin America you are from.
yes yes yes awesome!!!!
They're so much better when you fry them in some lard 🤤
just like m mom makes them 🤤 🤤 yum
Listo! 😉
Yummy 😋 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 😋
Yum
Is gorditas basically like the Mexican version of a pupusa? Lol
I think so too. I love how food connects us. The recipes are similar but different, and thats okay : )
How many gorditas should this recipe make?
It makes 6-8 Gorditas depending on the size
@@SaltyCocina thank you!
That’s a papusa
Soooo arepas? 😂
Similar but if depending on what part of Latin America you are from they are referred to differently and made slightly different
@@SaltyCocina also in El Salvador they are pupusos aya
Isn’t this called a pupusa? Aren’t Gorditas the ones you cut in half and then fill? I know the “correct” term doesn’t matter much but that’s just what I was lead to believe
These are cut in half but I understand how they can be confused. Food is similar but prepared differently depending what part of Latin America you are from.
Ooooooooooh, I cant wait to try this! Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Looks good! I could probably eat 10.
They are good!
Is this a pupusa
Where I am from we call them Gorditas.
I'm thinking of making maize gorditas with ricotta and spinach but chorizo doesn't sound bad either and ricotta's kind of bland...
Love love love love!!!!❤️❤️
