I feel ya. I’m waiting on mine here in Canada and I’ll definitely get the ECU flashed with a slip on after the break-in. Also, paying a license plate 475$ for a 400cc instead of 1800$ each year for a 636cc is a huge deal here. Specifically when you only get about 5 months of warm weather 👌
I didn’t think about the insurance difference between this and a zx6r or other 600. That’s a good point. And yeah once I’ve gotten through at least my first oil change that tune is gonna he i it’s way! Congrats on the new bike man! Thanks for watching!
Where are you in Canada? I'm in ontsrio and just got my m2 and hoping to source a zx4 myself but I never heard of yearly license plate fees? Unless your talking about insurance?
@@Theslowsquid I live in Montreal, Quebec. You gotta pay for your license plate and also insurance every year. When I had my ZX-10RR I had to pay 1850$ each year for my license plate fee and 600$ for my insurance each year… plus my bike per month.
LoL KAWK 😂 I have a ZX4RR 😅 one … the power 52 hp out of 76hp and two the sound …. I will be doing a full exhaust from Graves ❤ …. I wish they allowed the “race only” feature or allowed you to by the ECU
I have both the ZX4RR and ZX6R - 2024 models and the 4 is way down on power but is super fun in twisties and has a much more comfortable riding position. The 6 is more than double the power but has terrible ergos for street, a very snatchy throttle and biggest flaw of all quick shift up only witch will get you in trouble when you forget that on downshift while speeding thru canyons. Also the gearing on 4 and 6 are too low and I geared both of them up so I am not reving 8,000 going 75 mph on freeway. Once I get the 4 flashed it will be ridden more than 6 for the fun factor of taking down bigger bikes in the canyons, great little bike!😎

As much as I would love an autobipper you can get it on so many more powerful bikes for the same amount of money as that bike. So not worth the price tag. MT-09 cost just as much, with low insurance cost and has the same features and more. I just can't justify that price for a bike that's not even really better than the N400 besides the added tech.
95hp cbr650 gets no love because everyone says it's too expensive. Yet zx4rr with 55hp off the showroom floor for the same price is the new hotness, go figure. The cbr is more of a pure street bike though, it was never really intended to be a track toy.
I think so. Clutch is pretty light and easy to find the trap point. seat height is low and good enough power to have fun and the when you Get bored, do a eco flash and gain 20hp.
Pssssst... from what I can tell, it's not that expensive (about $200) to get the unrestricted tune... if you're interested I could link it. It isn't an option offered by the dealer, but it's offered 😂 they also have a slightly more expensive, slightly more powerful tune (about 76 hp)

You lose 20 hp. Aka you lose max speed. I don't know if that really is a big loss when you can easily go over 100 still. If you lost torque that would be more of a problem.
Yes but getting to 100 is also slower than it should be. If you look at the dyno charts it basically flattens at 11k RPM which is about 4K short of the redline so you’re still not getting full acceleration.

They didn't restrict the motorcycles in North America because of emissions they did it because of noise regulations, in both Canada and the USA.
So other countries don't have noise restrictions? I am not arguing, does the US model use a different exhaust as well?
