Glad to see Dr. Nancy back. I missed her. Looking forward to her demonstrating what she learned in her dental classes.
Rescue bovines are always going to worry that someone is going to eat them. They have often been badly treated on the way to an auction or two... So breaking out and making a run for it is just following their instincts. One of my nieces adopted a couple of Angus cows that weren't breeding anymore, they mostly just graze and enjoy being hand fed pets as well.
That is sad about being afraid they are going to be eaten😓, and sweet about your niece👍😁
Alot of them are un handled and only herded :-/
Animals have no concept that they might be eaten by us, they don't spend their days worrying if we're suddenly going to eat them! They are affected by ill-treatment, abuse and neglect. They don't know we look at them as a possible food source. Their brains don't work that way.
How do they even know they gonna be eaten? That makes no sense lol
@@fairygodmomma2313 LOL who told them?
Cowboy must love volunteer day. He gets groomed and loved on every time. Yay Dr Nancy is back, I’m glad Benjamin is doing better xx
Yipeeee! Benjamin is getting better. Thank you Dr Nancy and HPHS team. 🙏😁👍
Thank you God for these wonderful organizations and good people like HORSE PLUS HUMANE SOCIETY for the good and kind work they do. It's hard and expensive. We must help any way we can.
Another amazing episode! Peanuts adoption was so sweet 😊 I was happy to see the Lady who adopted Nadia back. She had such a gentle approach to her. Hope she did work out to help Kory with training! Those baby kittens - glad they and their mother are safe! Benjamin is such a fighter, so glad he is doing so much better. And I am very happy to see Dr. Nancy back! 😊
I really like that black horse that was an owner surrender.
me too! she or he was gorgeous 😍
Love seeing the kids volunteering, this gives them a chance to see that theres a lot of work involved with having animals.
It also teaches them a good work ethic!
Their enthusiasm is wonderful❗️♥️
I raised horses for years in PA. The best thing and cheapest thing to treat rain scald is: one part bleach, 2 parts water in a spray bottle, spray it on the affected area once or twice a week it'll be gone in no time it'll dry it right up, brush it right out it'll be gone. Always sanitize the brushes that you use on the rain scald horse.
Awe Sheryl and peanut… y’all made my heart smile. Enjoy each other.
❤ to the lady (cheryl) who adopted Peanut . I'm in same lonely boat as you. Enjoy Peanut!
#replay
Thanks for taking such good care of Benjamin. He is the sweetest donkey! Looks like Peanut hit the jackpot finding this lady to take him home. 😁
Sending ❤️ and a donation from Jo in Michigan 🌊
Absolutely love everyone at HPHS ❤ But, So happy and excited that Dr. Nancy is back 😁 YAAAY 😁!!! Fun day with all the little volunteers, they were awesome!! Love and Blessings to all at HPHS ❤️🙌 Jennifer
I really dont see how anyone could let a puppies paws get that bad...Thanks for loving animals the way yall do...
People don't budget for Vet cost. That sedation nail trim would be over $200.
I take my younger dog running on cool asphalt to file the nails.
It's difficult because their instinct is to guard their feet.
Even a nail file could be used regularly if taught young.
I don't understand it either. I personally never had to trim my dogs' nails as they're the perfect length. I take a lot of walks with them and some roads are asphalt so I guess their nails get filed automatically. The only time we had to trim a nail was because one of my dogs has an 'extra' nail in the back that's basically dangling in the air and therefore doesn't reach the ground .-.
John is one of a kind! One of those creative types….. :-)
Are John and Kimberly married/a couple? They alluded to it when John adopted his rooster 😊
Another fantastic episode. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love everything you all do, but love the horses and little fur babies. Love from Canada 🇨🇦
Welcome back Dr Nancy!! Missed you!!😊
Ahh sweet Benjamin..what a special boy he is its a shame they can't keep him with lil Cowboy..what a pair they'd make and Benjamin is so used to being handled he would be great for the volunteers to bath and groom..love seeing him..glad Dr Nancy is back.
Missed seeing her..Kimberley is fantastic..she can do everything..her and Keith can do all of the jobs..respect to them both and glad to see Keith back as he was poorly last video..I remember Nadia coming to adopt one of the horses..she would be a great number 2 for Kory..as he said they have the same training ethics..and she was great with Star even when he was a bit tetchy..Kory needs a second in command because then they can get to work on more horses to make them more adorable and make them happier too..poor Booger..those nails were terrible..he had clearly been neglected..lil Peanut has a good home..but he is going to take work as he looked frightened to death..don't think he ir Tina has had good experiences with humans. .I hope sweet Tina gets adopted soon..that light will hopefully help heal the horses with bad wounds that they get from the auctions ..lil Benjamin was the perfect patient as usual. .great video as always..thank you all for what you are doing..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👏👍🐾🐾🐕🐃🐴🐂🇺🇸
You mean I remember coming to adopt Nadia.
@@juliamclane8319 No..I meant what I originally said
.that Nadia came to Horse Plus to adopt a horse and it was a bit skittish and Kory must have seen how she worked with it very calmly and they have needing a deputy for a while..your comment doesn't actually make sense
It occurs to me that when you give the last act of kindness to an animal, you are giving them their forever home. You are doing Holy work there. God Bless You. ❤️✝️
yes. death is releasing the soul from the body and not asleep. hope prayers are offered to all the free roaming souls.
❤ Dr Nancy ❤❤
Benjamin
Love Benjamin too, love from Canada 🇨🇦
That big paint is BEAUTIFUL.
Amazing, informative and really just all around a great Horse Shelter Heroes Event!
Dr. Nancy, please don't ever leave HPHS! You're wonderful!
WELCOME BACK DR NANCY!!..hope your learning went well..
Loved the great job those young volunteers did..this is how young people learn compassion and respect for life..applause applause to all of them..love the dance to enter sign..so cute..but I have to agree - the chicken needs to lose weight..have a question for anyone willing to clear up my confusion -
Is Bruno a steer or a bull..his privates look like a bull..
I groom and trim my son's 5 dachshunds (1 is a pomeranian/dachshund)..my grandson's 1 dachshund and my ancient chihuahua that I rescued 4.5 yrs ago..I know how uncooperative they can be with nail trimming..😊..that one was an awful looking thing..I'm glad he was under for that trim..so glad he found a forever home..as always prayers and blessings
Every year I try to come up with new ideas for Xmas gifts. I started noticing that we were basically only exchanging money with giftcards. Last year, it was a book only for everyone. Of course no one followed the rule but this year, my plan for everyone is, we only buy each other gifts from charities, rescues, etc etc that we want to support. So our family member rocks the merch and the rescue gets our money. It's a win win. And this year I'm picking your rescue. I already have multiple items in the cart, just have to narrow down sizes. 😊
Also edit to add: Get a dremal to cut down dogs nails! Its a life savior and you'll never run into the risk of cutting the flesh!
Lyric is the best! We love you ❤
John, you are so awesome!
19:16 the dress up was such a neat idea!! 💡
But maybe you could put the canvases closer together so the wall isn’t visible. Great job by all of the volunteers!!
I'd be haphaphappy to bottle feed the kittens ...
It’s hard work. I’ve done it once. As a family we hand-reared a kitten when I was a teen. He had to be bottle fed every two hours day and night
@@molybdomancer195 I've done it so many times I can't count them. It's tiring but very rewarding ...
Summer has been brutally hot here in Texas, even by our standards. Down in South Texas it's consistently been over 100 degrees every day since like the beginning of June. I wasn't surprised that was a big takeaway 😅
That is such a great idea for the animals. ❤️now they can scratch their itch! Hahaha
I know in humans, abscesses have a core, or a liner, which needs to be removed in order for the abscess to heal completely.
I think more of it like a cyst has a lining or a sac wall that needs to be fully removed for it not to regrow or refill again but while a cyst can become abscessed if it gets infected, an abscess doesn't always have a sac wall and there is no evidence that Ben's abscess has that as they cleaned it out and it's just back to raw tissue that needs to heal from the inside out. So seemingly and hopefully its not something that they need to worry about, sac wall removal...otherwise am sure they would ID that for his treatment. That's thorough thinking though!
Love this channel and organization. Love horses. We must support these channels and organizations any way we can.
I love seeing the medical side of the rescue. Thanks for filming the light healing device photovia. Different wavelengths of light are helpful for different conditions, but the topical application to go with it was interesting. Glad Dr Nancy is back. Too bad it was so hot in TX that you couldn’t show us more of that facility-unless you are holding out for more in a different episode.
Such a wonderful channel. Love it.
Oh you picked a hot time to go to Texas with their record breaking temperature.
I am looking forward to seeing the results of the light treatment on Benjamin. It would be good to see him finally healed up enough to run out doors with some paddock mates.
I am also happy to see the yong lady working with Kory to help the horses become more adoptable. Wish you all the best on this very important work.
The dancing idea was fun and the sign very good.
That poor dog with the nails growing so ling is utter cruelty. I rescued my dogs sister who was stolen from a show and found 3 yrs later in a puppy farm. most of her claws were like that. She was operated on and had ssome removed and her pads had to heal as they were pearced by some of the claws. It was terrible for her. Some claws never grew out properly for the 10 years I had her, and she was always tender footed.
What a lovely surprise to have a wholesome meal delivery to your door.
Excellent filming again so thank you so much.
Is he a break dancer? He’s good!
I wonder if the light treatment would work on warts for that Saddlebred horse?
His name is Glimmer and probably not but they could always try it out and see
Thanks for reminding me! I was trying to remember his name(: He's so pretty, I thought it might be worth a try. You're right though it probably wouldn't work.@@kaitlynbrown1850
Benjamin is so cute! I was hoping to see some of the things Dr Nancy learned while away. Love that kind of stuff. I'll keep my eye out for the vet vids. Great video as always!
I agree , Benjamin is so cute♥️
That's great for wound therapy honestly there is that being used in wound care in humans for wound care why not animals.
That light therapy looks amazing! Love Benjaman and seeing Cowboy gets some spoiling!!
Benjamin's wound has healed a LOT. I'm glad he's doing so well, just a bit more to go with that hopefully. He's so tolerant of the treatment he needs. Cowboy has it made with the volunteers. He's so gentle
Horses are magnificent 👌. They should never be on the menu. NO ANIMAL SHOULD.
The new trainer has a good vibe and lots of horse Intelligence I hope she got the job.
It would be great to know if the UV lamp does help the healing process. I've often thought that these kind of devices are fake, but it seems there's supposed to be genuine research behind UV treatments now. Great to have Dr Nancy back!! Yay!!!
I was hoping she was going to adopt 2, but it's great that Peanut has such a wonderful person to love him. 🎉❤
Bring an ice chest for your gear.
God bless y’all in that heat! I’m in northern Illinois and we’ve had 90 days here there! I do not like the heat!
What a bunch of hardworking loyal Volunteers you have. I see the same crew all the time.
I have the utmost respect for these wonderful people 💕 ❤️ 😊.
You have the cutest volunteers and they were so helpful too. I'm sure Cowboy was glad he got all cleaned up and enjoyed the day. ❤❤❤
Thanks for all your hard work.
That poor wee dog and his long claws!
I enjoyed the kids volunteer day---they brought some genuine fun and "can do" energy to the grounds and barn. Angela is so good with them too. Kimberly---way to wrangle John into action (since he's concerned about folks getting moving, LOL).
Anything to improve the moral. Dance like no one is watching. The food looks great. You all work so hard for the animals. Thank you for doing what you are doing.
Hello from Texas 👋🏼 the heat has been very crazy the past few weeks!
So fun to watch you all, feel like i know you all a bit. Doing an amazing job!!
Wonderful episode this week! Loved seeing the return of Dr Nancy and the way she interacts with the always adorable Mr Benjamin. His reaction when Tawnee said cookies was probably more because he heard Dr Nancy coming back but I like to think it was because he understood the word cookies hahaha
You should have sheep for pasture management. Easier to handle and they eat a lot of undesirable weeds.
good to see Dr Nancy back. hope she had an interesting time, at the denterestry school.
Dr Nancy your awesome ❤❤
Love all the work an love you give to all the animals
Lol, when was this filmed??? August is our hottest month, with 107 as a norm.... looking forward to fall and more HP videos!
Benjamin’s neck has really improved. Great job !
Yay!! Dr Nancy is back!
I am often amazed at how creative and innovative you guys are. Great job
Another great episode 👍. Thanks guys. Lot's going on at HP. I enjoy watching your videos ☺️
❤❤
I wish I lived in the US or had lots of money to fetch Benjamin here to Wales I have just the paddock for him 😂❤😂❤
What about Glimmer's ears? Would that new light therapy help him?
Interesting to find out! Good question!
Probably worth a try! I bet they try it out on everything if it might help in any way. My vet uses a laser light therapy for just about any ailment to help the tissue heal faster...she even uses it on herself and her staff, they swear by it.
I would love a cd of the music 🎶 you play in the background.
Teach those steers to ware a halter and put a bull ring in their nose that way you can lead them with out getting hurt
The rescue used to have a steer that they could ride with a saddle and I think they used it to advertise the rescue, long before Kory was around, like a mascot. Tawnee talks about it sometimes. Am sure these steers could be settled a bit it would just take time...maybe if they hire that backup trainer for Kory one of them would find a minute at that busy rescue... am sure they speak enough cattle language to get them harness trained...would be fun to watch a steer join up.
Benjamin is going to make such a great pet once he well
9:10 He keeps saying Mule but, none of those three were Mules.
Awh cowboy , you look like a million bucks ❤
Awe thanks for taking care of Boogers little feet.😢Some the rescue channels are a sketchy but you all are the real deal.
Congrats Kory and Caitlyn but I must admit I had a bit of a crush on Kory.
I just want to bring benjamin home n make him a house boy lol. I have a rescue dog that her nails grow curved like that its weird.the other dogs dont do that?? I trim her weekly n the nails still grow like weeds.
Wondering if this light will help with Glimmers ears???
Peanut and Jack should of gone together 😢
👍👍❤
Do the Teaberry Shuffle.
Awww I love Benjamin he could be your little ascot little Benjamin Button cute❤
Their HPHS website seems down...all the different pages, I get a critical error on two devices. Anyone else see this? Saturday morning just after 9am EST.
Yes we are working on it.
Sandpaper on doggie door
Could this "light' therapy be used on humans?
Is benjamin braying because Dr. Nancy left !?
Does Kimberly have Cancer?
Thank you God for touching the hearts of people so that they may join us in the fight AGAINST CRUELTY and EVIL. IN JESUS NAME AMEN
Hey mods? Sorry about being angry a few months ago in live chat. There was no excuse and I hope you can forgive me and give me another chance.
John can be so annoying... Thankfully the ladies in the office are a patient group. ❤️
My Prayer DEAR LORD LET THERE BE NO MORE CRUELTY AND NO MORE HEARTLESSNESS TOWARD HUMANS AND ANIMALS AND THE PLANET. IN JESUS NAME AMEN
Wasn’t there a crazy lady a few months back that tried to adopt a horse isn’t this her or is this a different person?
What I’m most shocked about is how you only have a few hundred thousand followers?, All good horse people should be here, looking at what happens to horses that aren’t cared for properly, or selling horses, or unwanted children ponies, as we know there are millions of parents who buy ponies for their children , then when kids don’t want the pony they sell on!
Wasn't Benjamin a baby donkey who got adopted? If so why is he back
Totally different donkey.
I wish that little pup wasn’t being sent to Texas. Texas has waaaaaaaay too many dogs already… so many there aren’t enough homes. We don’t need dogs being brought in from other states.
I think that's true for every state.
Why deny Booger a loving home? Many states have over population issues. Texas certainly does but it's no reason to begrudge that poor dog getting adopted by someone here.
@@Gems-of-Hope-Rocks Definitely not of every state. In fact, Texas ships thousands of dogs up north every year because many northern states do not have the problem. There are actually waiting lists for dogs.
@@heartlesskitten88 I think you are focusing on the one instead of the bigger picture. That dog coming to Texas will probably result in a Texas dog being euthanized. There are many northern states that don’t have over population problems
I don't like the red t-shirt you chose for the volunteers because it looks like the gangs color, you should have chosen a green or pink color or yellows close to orange, Do you homework and researcher " what are the metaphysical color of pink " which I know its Love, Innocent Love, Or Green which is healing and balance, that is why the hospital use green uniform and green wall color because its a healing color, This RED color gives negative vibration, You may thing RED its strong, Life positive strong energy, which is true, but its not appropriate for this situation,, You all are healing those poor animals, You can use the color Rubi-gold which means in the metaphysical level the resurrections Flame , All those animals are resurrected to life again, they had lose their hope and happiness. But it look good that you have kids to learn about the animals and their recovery, Thanks.
It's just a color they chose. Not everything needs to have a deeper meaning. They also have some red buckets, red halters, red panels,... 😅
If everything had a deeper meaning and would be inapropriate in certain situations, you wouldn't be able to wear or do anything at all.
❤❤
