The character study of finding the meaning behind the true warrior is incredible and inspiring because it’s more then just being good at combat and fighting. It is something anyone can become in their own way based on their beliefs and life values.

This anime is about becoming a man. I can’t believe so many fans are disappointed because there aren’t many fights. I can assure everyone that the next arc will have a shit-ton so just be patient. This arc by far has the best storyline so just enjoy it y’all.

It like they forgot the whole theme of season one, Thors, and askeladd promise. I’m be real I way more invested in the arc then any of season 1.

the entire story promotes pacifism and being able to change for the better. not sure how that equates to becoming "a man", yukimura actually said that this story was about rejecting social norms about what it means to be a man or a warrior and i remember him saying in an interview that he doesn't understand why the men of this time period did stupid shit like fight endlessly in pointless wars. you've missed the point of the show.
Gotta say, Mike's voice for Thorfinn works way better when he's an adult and mellowed out

@@Khorius you can tell sometimes, not at the same depth of a person who has spoken the language all their life but after consuming enough of the medium you can gain a sort of preference. But that oreference can also be deceptive like you say, how one would say things sounds different if you were to act the same way in a dub, its all rather weird honestly.
I do like the Japanese va, and hearing the dub, I actually like them too, perhaps a little better for this season

Damn I love this show, the dub definitely brings a different flavor from what I'm used too
Funny thing, vinland saga has two dubs, this is the crunchyroll dub, and while i personaly think its fine, some moments fall a little flay for me, but i still think its a solitd dub, the netflix dub is far and away my favourite, i genuinly reccomned the netflix dub because its fantstic.
This is such a great show. I can't wait to see more of this season dubbed!

Sometimes killing is right. Im in the army and have killed a few. I killed people that wouldnt think twice about walking onto a school bus and killing every child on there. I think removing someone like that from the world more than atones for the action itself

It's Unfortunate that people only watch anime for the fights. This story is so much more than just fights. Every season is just completely different. This anime is more about peace than war.
I overall like Mappa but the direction is so weird when they do an overly detailed close-up of a character's mouth and face then follow up with a zoom-out with little to no detail on them

I wish people weren't joking about the question of how many peoppe Thorfinn has killed. Thorfinn isn't laughing like the rest of us, we're watching one of the best representations of regret. Not one good thing has happened to Thorfinn, and as much as I love how strong and deadly he is, he wouldn't be like this if he had just one good day after Thors died.
He is also fictional so we don’t need to protect his feelings.

As a man I feel like this is an anime you should watch. Don’t come with DBZ/Naruto/Bleach expectations. This isn’t a strictly fighting series, there are a lot of life lessons. It’ll bring tears to your eyes, especially season 2. Season 1 you’ll get your fill of bloodshed.

I didn't expect the dub to be this good, generally I prefer sub over dub and the main reason being the dub voice actors try to make the lines sound kinda like original Japanese accent and the end result? It just ends up sounding weird and cringe.

I mean I don’t know if you’ve watched further but he moved on from this at the end of this episode. If anything he’s probably the most emotionally mature character for getting what you’re saying so quickly

I think the same for Japanese version. Don’t watch many anime’s dubbed but this one being dubbed just sounds and feels right. I think the Japanese version for him sounds a little too happy compared to the dubbed being more mellow and depressing. It just fits his character as of now.
