People in the comments really get the wrong ideas from this scene, lol. "Badass" and all that. This was Thorfinn at his lowest point, he doesn't flinch, sure... but that's because he doesn't care. He simply wants to die and let go of his guilt. I'm not trying to belittle people btw, and I'm don't think everyone who says such things really think that. I just wanted to mention it for the people out there with wrong expectations in this series/season. This isn't a shonen, this is a seinen. It isn't about action.
@@adriannegrete9586 It was first published in a shonen magazine, yes. Essentially until the death of Thors. After that point, it was transfered to a seinen magazine. And even then, it doesn't really matter as much. Vinland Saga simply isn't for the wild child-like attitude of needing action. This feels so sarcastic.🤣I mean we all love it but still. "Farm arc goes hard." Yayyyy! "Prepare for the drama of a man coping with depression." I AM GONNA FAINT! Contrast with Season 1-
Thorfinn literally doesn’t give a damn because he’s seen it all and now he wants it to be over. He’s transition from an edgy hardcore fighter to philosophical pacifist is astonishing. I still find it hard to believe that he’s the same guy.
To be fair, Thorfinn, almost every bad thing that’s happened in your life was because of your own choices. I think he realized that at some point, though. Look at those eyes.
Yeah, he killed lots of people who did not mean him any harm just to get the chance to duel a guy he wanted to kill. That's been 10 years of his life that he wasted. He threw away his childhood and left his family and all in pursuit of a goal he could never achieve and didn't achieve in the end.
Here Thorfinn's depression was on another level. He deserved a hug. People tend to forget how young he is. It is amazing that he got a friend like Einar.
It angers me that none of these wounds would've been inflicted on him if it were on the battlefield, especially not by that wimp. It saddens me to see him like this and wish I could be there for him but alas we are not part of the same reality.

There are 2 different dubs. One from Sentai flimworks and the other From Netflix when it was stuck on Amazon. I believe because of 2nd season Netflix did a dub however Sentai flimworks had the home release version and had their own dub.
