Awesome! Sounds like it might be a lot like a JB pickup but with a lower pull A2 magnet for better high end articulation and sustain. Killer! I have no idea who “Liquid Charlie” is, but the dude can play his ass off! As we used to say back in the day…..Bitchin’!!!
I wonder what the actual output is - I know the resistance is 17.3k but there was no mention of Ohms. Edit: I mean Henries or mV, I needed more coffee......
@@1peanut What I will say is that for $200 PER PICKUP I would never buy one but I'm interested to see what the precise specifications are. A2 magnet (good choice for the era) 17.3k DC resistance and if I had to guess, probably around 9 Henries (I said Ohms originally, blame the late night) or maybe 500-550 mV. Perhaps even a little hotter...... *shrug* I'll still buy other FU-Tone parts of course :)
@@MercutioUK2006 I am using a Di'Marzio (X2N) about 16k and 510 mV and a (Super 3) 26K and about 435 mV. X2N bridge, Super 3 neck. These are paired well and very powerful.
I don't use named brands, never worth the money IMO. Got a Blade pickup set in one instrument (Both ceramics, 12k, 10 henries in the bridge and a less powerful version in the neck) then an A5 18k/9h as a single pickup in another. The super 3 must be very bass heavy and dark with that much resistance - how does it sound in real life?
@@MercutioUK2006 The X2N came in the used guitar when i bought it. The Super 3 was given to me by Vivian Campbell and is meant to be a bridge pup. it is dark and would be better suited for bridge position.
I've got the original Frankenstein pickup and I'm swapping it out. It's above my level of control. The smallest overtones or string noises will sound out. If you don't get it perfect it's very unforgiving. Great for pinch harmonics and such but my playing it just nowhere near clean/good enough and it's just to the point bothering me now, I somewhat managed to get there but it's not an easy pup to play with. The Wolfgang pickup it more versatile and much much easier to play. Ps. You need a better camera I think, it's quite low in quality/res.

Yeah ya need to check him out ! Really ! Liquid Charlie, Charlie Stinchcomb ...
Sounds great! Liquid Charlie is fantastic!
Sounds fantastic!
Charlie is Awesome
How come nobody likes midrange anymore? Thanks for the awesome FU products!
I don't get it either. Never understood the whole scooped tone thing, why eliminate the frequencies that make you audible?
Mid heavy pickup can make it sound like cocked wah sound on drive and too pushed on cleans.
The kids these days.
Eddie didn’t like mid range either 🤷🏼♂️.
It’s necessary…but not pleasing, and certainly not mean 👹
Awesome "chewy" and midrangey tone! Was a brass block used on that guitar? If yes, what size?
Damn. I guess I've got to build another guitar...😊
You're struggling to get it to work without the pedals.

same question here... and I would like to know the Millivolt / mV output.

THANK YOU!!!!
Nice! can it be used in the neck position as well? I would like to use it for both bridge and neck. Thanks!

0:45 You say 17.3 output. i assume you mean ohms ? I would like to know the Millivolt / mV output please. Thank you.
