  • The UMC Separation Protocol, a proposal endorsed by five affinity groups within the United Methodist Church in January 2020, contained two covenants. One covenant was that local Methodist Churches agreed not to pursue church trials of Bishop's and Clergy who openly violate the Book of Discipline. The other covenant was that Bishop's agreed not to close local Churches and sell their property. It is clear that the Bishop's have not kept their promises. Watch this video to learn more.     They closed two churches i had serious ties to and 11 others one sold quickly

    I wonder if "exigent circumstances" allows for bad faith. Serving UMC corporate is not necessarily connected with serving God.
    Does that matter to the bishops?
