I’ve duck hunted with this shotgun for years, only cleaned it a couple times and have fully submerged it multiple times only to pour it out and continue shooting. This things a workhorse and has never given me issues.
My wife bought me an A300 for Christmas 2020 from Reeds Family Outdoor Outfitters. Love it, no hiccups so far. I just like the beretta semi autos. I love my A303 and Browning B80, which this is pretty much the same as, just more budget minded.
The outlander is a great shotgun and the only thing I changed on mine was the front sight for a fiber optic sight . Easier to get on target and harder to miss your target. 🤙
I have had one for a few years now it's a great workhorse and surprisingly accurate with slugs at 50yrd . I don't hunt deer with it but would in a pinch.
It's my duck gun that I don't mind if it gets a couple scuffs on it in the duck boat . Otherwise it smacks mallards and anything else like a good shotgun would. And 2 oz turkey load still hurts out of this and anything else. Lol
Steve, please do an ammo comparison on clays ammo. I put my suggestions for shotguns to compare to A300 below as a response to someone’s comment on comparison of gas vs inertia.
Bought the "mallard" version for my 11 yr old a year ago and he absolutely loves it. We have put several hundred rounds through it hunting and clay shooting and have not had a single issue yet. We got this one for its adjustability and brand name/value. He's now 12 about 5' and fits him great. He loves it. I did pick up a Briley extended charging handle and bolt release for him at Christmas and they have greatly improved his love for the gun. The bolt release was the only negative I had with it and the Briley fixed that up, plus made it look that much better. I would highly recommend this gun for your entry level semi auto.
It is common to have some issue straight out of the box. With a new gun, give it a good cleaning before shooting. Sometimes after cleaning you can still have a few little issues but that should go away after a few boxes ammo and the gun breaks in a little.
Great review. I purchased A300 with Realtree camo in September and this is my first semi-auto shotgun. I only shoot target shotshells through it at trap range and it's quite accurate. The model I bought is a 28’ barrel without the mid-bead. I am so happy with this shotgun except the bolt release button is a little bit hard to operate. Thank you again for the review.
@@michaelbalance98 There is a magazine plug due to the hunting regulation and I think it is 2 plus one in the chamber and if you remove the plug, I think it is probably 5 or 6 rounds.

Quail opener was a couple weekends ago and we were hunting on a property with an electric clay thrower we were shooting all night. It started having issues ejecting completely after probably 100 rounds of non stop fire playing Annie Oakley for an hour or so and I finished the night out running it single fire and tried to remember the last time I cleaned it or oiled it as it had been hunted with and put away dirty multiple times over a couple years and when I pulled it apart I pulled a chunk of carbon the size of my wedding ring off the piston and made a ping pong ball sized pile of carbon from the bolt on the table. I’ve never been more impressed with something than I was after seeing how dirty it was running up till the end there. Well worth the money. Also I have more expensive “nicer” semis and kind of bought it as a back up if a friend needed one or I wanted to shoot something different then fell in love with it when I was in the new gun stage and only wanted to shoot it. To this day, unless I’m shooting skeet and want my over under, it is the gun I’m most comfortable on and shoot the best. @target focused life. I have some questions about this a300 outlander. My first question is I did some reading on this gun and some problems people have had. They are saying it Jams and stove pipes the spent shell. Have you had this problem with your a300? Would you recommend this gun or the sx4 and why? I like the sx4 for the over sized bolt releases and big safety button. I am kind of thinking for the possibility of bird hunting in my future. I can’t make my mind up sx4 or the a300 outlander what would you recommend? Please help or anyone
I haven't made the video yet but based on shooting them both, I would lean SX4. The controls are much nicer, it has a raised rip, and is super reliable.
With the sx4 What do you mean by nicer controls? Over sized bolt release and oversized charging handle? Also what do you mean by a raised rip they both have that raised rib do they not?
Work hard, save hard and then you can play hard. $699 is real money for bang for the buck, hard to beat. I don't know if there are any semi auto shotguns under this price point that I would recommend...looks like I need to do some budget shotgun reviews.

I have a Franchi affinity, obvs from the Beretta stable, how about a head to head Steve? 🤔👍🏻
I just got in from filming Franchi Affinity 3 20ga Compact vs Winchester SX4 20ga Compact. I was thinking of a shotgun showdown between the Outlander and the SX4.
This is Jake from Wimberley Arms. We’re a new company based out of Texas. How can we go about getting our product reviewed by you on your UA-cam channel? We specialize in shotguns. We’d love for you to give an honest review of our product!
great video but i dont understand your loads as im from england :) how low a load would it go ? 21g 24g 28g im being told 28g or it wont cycle???but would like to use 21g to sofen the kick more? for my granddaughter to have a go/
Great video and just subbed 👍🏻
Welcome to Target Focused Life, thanks for the sub 👊
Can you get a shell tube that’s nearly the length of that barrel? Saw picture of a Gov out hunting. Had one you could put the entire box of shell into. 🤷♂️
You sure can, as long as it's legal for what you are hunting. You can even run a mag tube a little past your barrel. Check the mag tube extensions from Carlson's targetfocused.link/carlsonsmagtubes
For gas operated guns, it doesn’t matter if you shoot it from the hip or upside down lols.
Beretta A300 Outland x Winchester SX4 UPLLAND , witch gun is better ?
Very good gun . I have this from last 5 years .
Have you reviewed any of the Hatfields from Walmart?
Sweet gun
Browning silver modb dt review older gun but wondering your thoughts
Please , do the review of CZ 1012. It’s a very good gun and I would like to have your opinion . 👊👍
I think you should compare that to some type of pump shotgun
What’s the difference from outlander and ultima
I’m having cycling issues with mine. The first shot fires but the second get jammed cycling and does not reload. Any help here?
Steve can u do a review of a benelli super vinci
Franchi affinity vs a300
Hello Steve...fabarm l4s or A300?
Looking forward to 940 vs A300
For anyone interested......wood absorbs more recoil.
Thanks for the video :) . I found a Beretta A300 Outlander, but it was made in Italy ! is it better than USA one ? Is the barrel interchangeable on the A300 ? Is it possible to add a telescope on it? Is it good if I use a slug in order to target big bodies at long distance ? Beretta A300 Outlander VS Remington Versa Max ?
Honestly, I don't know the difference between one made in Italy and the USA, sorry I am not much help there. 👊 Stay Target 🎯Focused (Hebrews 12:1-3)
@@TargetFocusedLife Thanks :)
Can you add an extension magazine ??
Can this be made to work with youth stock?

@@TargetFocusedLife nice
Review the ATA Arms Neo x 12 gauge
This can be a bugger, break away and we’re back, fully operational.
Pretty sure you drove the pin out the wrong direction.
Can u do a off brand like a tristar shutgon
What about pointer phenoma?
Please do a review of the A300 Ultima
Coming next week!
CZ 1012
Best gun for value
have you tried the breda 930i a great shotgun.?
I have not tried that one yet.
Is it gas or inertia driven
Compare it to your sx4
That was what I was planning to do!
Could you review the Remington V3?
Thanks for the suggestion.
Dang awesome shotgun to bad I only $699 short lol
Work hard, save hard and then you can play hard. $699 is real money for bang for the buck, hard to beat. I don't know if there are any semi auto shotguns under this price point that I would recommend...looks like I need to do some budget shotgun reviews.
@@TargetFocusedLife so true I’m only 14 and my dad says no more Guns until I can buy another safe because there’s no room in the safe lol but I saved $200 and bought a semi auto 22 from a friend last month and even tho it’s not a shotgun i like it and that would be an awesome video
Can we shoot slug with it?
Absolutely, just make sure you have the improved cylinder choke in it and not the mod or full.
Can you shoot slug and 00 buckshot through chokes? Sorry new to shotguns
Great question. If you are shooting slugs, I would recommend a open choke like a cylinder or improved cylinder. If you are shooting 00 buck, you should select your choke based on the pattern you want at a specific distance. Carlson's does make specific chokes for buck shot too if you are interested www.choketube.com/choke-tube-style-details-R.php?carlsons-buck-shot-choke-tubes&cts=27
@@TargetFocusedLife thank you so much
Beautiful!
donde la puedo conprar I.M.HAVA 20. GAGES A.300 SEMI A U BIUTIFUL
Can you put an extension on that gun?
Unfortunately, no. Thanks for watching Joseph. 👊 Stay Target 🎯Focused (Hebrews 12:1-3)
The g force gf1 is just like the baretta a300 and I payed 150$ for it.lol
What is your favorite semi-auto shotgun?
