I suggest you find nobbel87 on UA-cam. He puts the lore down unlike any other in the WoW community. If you would want to learn a little bit more on these characters from Lords of War.

These are the kind of thing that inspires me to keep on working hard and study what I want to do the rest of my life. I want to be a concept artist for Blizzard Entertainments one day. I dont care how long does it takes and how dire the road may be. I know the moment I step into the Blizzard Headquarters to do my work I will feel that I have achieved my greatest goal. I am a huge fan of Warcraft since I was a little kid and I have written many fan based stories based on Warcraft which I keep to my own for now but I hope to make them more than that one day. Who knows? Maybe I will get to make an expansion for World of Warcraft someday. That would be great. Thanks for always being so awesome Blizzard! I hope to join you one day!

hahahahhaha.. indeed brother.. This has been my dream since i was a little kid. Back when the Warcraft RPGs came out I was a huge fan of the game and I got so into the game and lore it was crazy. I remembering writing a fan made novel about Arthas and Jaina having a son but Arthas didnt know that and when the son was born Arthas was already the Lich King. but well.. that was way before WotLK came out.. xD

You are one of my big inspirations for my own artwork, I'm 18 as of now, just got into an animation/film/game art school in a very weird way, instead of doing my normal school work I work 24/7 on my art work and my own stories, I showed them to the director of the school, and I was accepted instantly. My dream is to work at a place like blizzard when I'm older. I know full well it would be industry standard, deadlines all that. And I would find that SOOOooo fun. Keep doing what you are doing Laurel it's truly amazing, and you have probably inspired more then just me to go the extra mile with their own artworks. ^_^
good to hear that. im glad you made it into art school by doing your own stuff at home. im kinda in your position now for difference im stuck in a low level, now dying art school and im tryin gto get my graduate and move on to learn 3d modelling and digital drawing in a high level elite art school in my country. im a "sculptor" now but my goal are the same as yours so i can relate. i can only wish you big luck to achieve your dream :)

Man, I wish I'd known at an earlier age that you could get a job doing epic pictures/paintings for a company like Blizzard. I used to love drawing as a kid. Seeing someone as talented as Laurel makes me wonder if I could've been doing the same thing by now if I'd kept up with it.
Well, regret/nostalgia aside, it is truly amazing seeing what goes into a production like these short clips. I loved the animation style for the Orcs, their anatomy especially. Absolutely top-notch.
Please make more stuff like Lords of War Blizz! The Art and style is epic. Kudos to your team for making something so fluidly stunning-not only visually but conceptually. You've out done yourselves again.

Woot, we can finally see the artist behind those outstanding pictures, I love how she interpreted draeneis.
This was truly an amazing work and hope to see some of these images in the Warlords of Draenor artbook from the collector edition :)

thank you for this, i've been looking everywhere for the original stills and how it was done for these type of warcraft anamatics and boom its here. you can find some stills of the stills on her artstation (Laurel D Austin). amazeing work all around, im not a player of the game but boy do i love any media related to it thats released.

Blizzard is a top notch company. They have this fine tradition of excellence and near perfection. Which I hope they would be able to maintain like forever. Whenever I hear or meet someone that says he/she is a Blizzard FAN I would often ask. What kind of Blizzard fan are you? A gamer fan? A lore fan? A art style fan? Majority would answer ALL.
I hope they would feature the sound guys as well.

It's amazing the short story but the tecniques used here, come from the anime style they on the begining use still image to create animation....

Love the art so awesome work Laurel and everyone involved in this series. and just finally having some darker storytelling, and well not just have it all in books to sell, since usually skip big part of story, have it in a book which am not interested in getting (since already paying monthly fee and well few books now)

Loved the Lords of War series, as well as the Shaohao burdens. To get a glimpse behind the scenes is really as unique as the finished copies. Although, why is Metzen on this thumbnail when it's narrated entirely by Laurel?

How is this animation / drawing style called? I would be very interested in learning out the basics to attempt such a project. To bad it is nowhere documented.
EgAnimatiOn I think the best way to describe something like this is 'Motion Comic'.

It sucks they didnt really release much more of this kind of art, the team that made the Lords of War series could have literally made a full box office release that would probably have been regarded as a masterpiece. I would have loved to have seen it. WoW lore and even the little promotional content they release for it has been going downhill for a long time and this was a major spike in the constant decline of the quality that made everyone love the universe.
Is there going to be any more of these for WoD. I would have liked to see a few more, or at least one for Yrel.

I have two questions
The first is we see with those 5 parts of lords of war how alliance 'join' the fight it should be a horde part too like Varian calls the horde for their assistance or like this
The second one is alliance have the trials of yrel to become a exarth it is available for the horde too or it is for a other character ex. Trials for thrall or durotan
I feel like alliance side has more than the horde side. Please answer me
