    Another great video! It's so good to see this accord getting new life.
    Also, although I did this job several times on my civic and mdx, I like seeing how professionals do it.

    Very helpful video. Thanks! Just an update about the “thump or thud” on start up cold with a 1998 Accord V6 automatic. After years of this it was diagnosed as a failed front engine/transmission mount (the one closest to the radiator). I had a Honda OEM part to replace it. The annoying thump was gone and it was well worth the price of repair at Honda. I recalled afterwards that back in 2017-2018 when the transmission was rebuilt that same mount was replaced with an aftermarket one and didn’t last long I assume. I’m going to let the service advisor know as he recommended the OEM part as it was still available. Thanks.

    When I first got my civic, I was looking around for the power steering reservoir to check the fluid level.
    Couldn't find it and asked -
    "It is electric power steering"..

    I really dislike those clamps. I would rather use the other type that you can remove with a flat head screwdriver or socket wrench:

    • @BigDog50001
      @BigDog50001  2 роки тому +2

      I used to not like the spring clamps, but now I think they do a better job of holding the clamping force after multiple heating and cooling cycles (I think this is why manufactures prefer them). The worm style clamps seem to need to be retightened fairly often, I still use them but not as much nowadays. Thanks for the input!

      @@BigDog50001 I guess not having the proper tools to remove those clamps would have something to do with disliking them.
