Shrimps is bugs
oh my god i’ve been waiting 10+ years for somebody to explain the logic behind the elevator glitches. you seriously just answered a question i forgot i even had
I've done this for years, years ago never ever knew how it worked. Finally.
Just made a huge arugula and prosciutto pizza needed something to eat to, this is perfect timing baby
hey man what's up with ur spacing
@@ayoomike he stole the comment
Made a shitsgetti burger and got the. notification, ima cherrish this.
@@ayoomike its definitely screwed up like his taste in food
There's no way it takes you 48 minutes to eat a pizza
I have around 4000 hours in this game, the movement goes deep. There were literally servers with people only practicing bounces in custom player made maps. Even after many many hours and getting extremely good at strafes and bounces, that one guy joins in and does in 5 minutes what took you 3 hours and thousands of attempts. The bouncing is lowkey art. You can change strafe direction while flying to extend, you can switch fps between 125 250 333, each having a slight effect on your jumps. Some bounces you were required to 3-2-bounce-3-1 in order to get the right height and distance. (Very generally speaking, 125 is distance, 333 is height, 250 a mix).
Then elevators. I personally dislike them. There is something about bouncing that feels so smooth and liberating, while elevators are more of a means to an end. Many places in maps and in the SP run have setups that only require a few inputs to reliably get. In reality there are hundreds of places to use the elevator. There is the regular crouch-stand elevator, the slightly more difficult prone-crouch elevator and then the regular difficulty jump-crouch-stand. The last one is jumping, crouch before reaching the ceiling, then stand when you normally can't stand. Only difference between this and the first is using a keybind to jumpcrouchstand instead of just jump.
Little bit of a rant, my bad. It does allow you to get on top of basically all invisible walls. I don't really play anymore, however I think there are still many skips to be found, however it might be too elevator heavy.
the old good days of COD jumper
As someone who played a lot of MW but never knew about this community, I appreciate your insight to a simpler time friend! I’m sure it’s very nostalgic for you!
I’m not reading that lol
Cj family
Cant believe you made it past The Coup. Even when not speedrunning, it's so tough to complete
I always die at the end, no matter what difficulty I play
It's about sending a message!
10/10 video! Hope you had fun learning and running the game.
I remember struggling hard on veteran in the pripyat missions when I was younger. I did later complete all modern warfare games on veteran but pripyat stuck with me as something special
Practicing strafes and bounces are very much the core memories about MW from
my childhood. I remember watching some videos by CODjumper yt channel. Love those mechanics, such a good game.
I was friends with one of the guys and was featured on the CodJumper UA-cam channel when I was about 14 back in 2010, we were all doing the pipeline bounce on the truck between the buildings. Good Ole times man
@@BrokenLegnd Ahh, yes. The other truck bounce was my first ever. Golden times. Great memories.
Codjumper is close to my heart too. I still play on stock maps and custom codjumper maps today. Before I got my first PC around 2014-ish, I was blown away by what PC cod4 players could do because of the FPS values they could utilize
a great mix of speedrunning nuances and lore enjoyed every minute of it even though i wont try to speedrun the game
🔥 🔥 🔥 Fire vid as always, thanks for giving the cod speed games some love dude
Awesome video man. This will always have a place in my heart. Wish they made campaigns like this still
Great videos lately dude!! Love the storytelling part of it too
Dude lets fucking go. We love quake engine speedrunning. Shoutouts Klooger again
What's funny is because this game is based on the engine in Quake 3, there's already a name for the strafing mechanic. Circle jumping. Circle jumping is sometimes used to clear large gaps or used to begin your series of strafe jumps.
Yeah something got lost in translation haha, you can't keep momentum between jumps so "strafe jumping" is not possible. For some reason cod4 community has always called circle jumps strafe jumps and I guess it's too late to change it now
These old games had so much depth apart from core game content. I still play them a lot lol. Between normal multiplayer, mods, jumping communities, and clans/scrimmages... Newer games I feel don't give that. Glad I grew up with cod 4, arma 2, dayz, BC2...
50.000 people used to live here and now its a ghost town is never old
Practicing bounces for hours is a very fond memory for me. Thanks for the vid!
The modern warfare game series is by far the best in COD
Honestly all of the games between and including COD4 and BLOPS2 were peak. Definitely the ones I had the most fun with.
All ways loved the beginning of COD 4 with that saying very iconic
I’m currently trying this speedrun lol perfect timing
Thank you for covering this game! Definitely a cod of all time
Enlisted still exists? I remember playing years ago and the progression and teamAI was so frustrating that I outright quit lol
In an early patch of Modern Warfare you could bind shoot to the mousewheel and make almost every gun go brrrrrrrrr
22:22 "yeah, I'll just commit a war crime, you know, to see better" :v
This video make me want to run the game again
so far, enjoy your videos, they are entertaining and informative, videos are done very well, and the background music is nice
As someone who loves CoD4 to bits, im excited to see all the ways the game can be exploited to fly to Zakhaev
"Now it's a ghost town."
No, it would not be a CoD video without it.
All Call of Duty games become much simpler when you understand that accurate shooting is rarely necessary. If you aren't hipfiring the majority of the time, I'd find you to be playing the game wrong. Rushdown dps like absolute crazy, with slight adjustments as new obsticles appear, or when you need to take a moment to reload. Also, enemy SMGs are generally the best weapons, as you'll never have to worry about running out of ammo, and you can run and gun most effectively.
I'm convinced this playstyle is outright required to beat some of the earliest CoD games on Veteran, as you have to advance against infinitely spawning troops.
Dunno how this applies to speedrunning, but it may lol. Now, on to the video.
Never once used a single thing you said lmfao you don't gotta pick up enemy weapons at all I've done veteran it's really not all you're cracking it out to beand no aim you moron you shouldn't ever really be hipfiring😂😂
Cod4. My absolute favorite cod and one of my favorite games of all time. My first online experience
Tbh its insane that his not under the map or flying around guess it says alot 😂 was expecting it
Good old days when I had the MHC wr
THE GOAT
One of the best games ever. Modern CODs have nothing on this one
It pains me to think about how long ago this game came out :( time flies
I wish captain price was mocking me🥵
Looks like battle field
What's awesome about cod4 promod is that the multiplayer embraces strafing and bounces (no elevators though for obvious reasons). The skill ceiling is very high and its loads of fun, no game has better movement IMO. At one point promod was about as large as counter strike source in Europe
great video
so if I jiggle my steering wheel at just the right resonance my car will drive a straight line faster
Good stuff :) Though i'm more of a MW2 person heh
Good game
wooooo
If you breathe wrong, you can potentially softlock the game
Just an FYI you aren't bouncing on any of the cars because the models have no Collison , you are bouncing on the clip brushes.
Same difference really
L shouldve been mw3
ya mama
@@OhhhPez thats it! Now im going to twitter for that prepare to have hell rained upon you
Enlisted is a russian game by russian devs that sponsors russian budget and army, both via taxes and directly.
Well done, western, i guess these ~100$ for ad were worth it
huh
It saddens me that the remaster of this game... It sucks
Press N to use Night Vision Goggles.
No, they're not.
nice
Clip glitches isnt speed running.
skill issue
Press N to use night vision goggles 🤓☝️
I remember learning a lot of this during multiplayer.
I was called a cheater all the time just for knowing how to strafe and bhop.
Thank CS lol
In a way, using glitches to get an advantage is cheating
@@Flondredon’t be that person…
I just enjoyed learning about glitching and got wrapped in the glitching community on console at least. So much fun, hubdreds if not thousands of hours just doing bounces strafes and elevators.
@@meestersecure9060 I agree 100%. Yes it was kind of a skill Gap but the people who knew how to do the slides and how to move around the map fast we're in a League of their own most the time we got mashed with each other. It was like we're pubstomping all the time, 90% of the time we're getting our ass whooped trying to do some stupid crazy trick.
@@Flondre Strafing is not a glitch lol, I don't even think you can argue bunny hopping is. It's also literally just standard gameplay in any game that lets you do it
Ah cod 4, my first fps online experience. This game will always hold a place in my heart and I may give speedrunning a try. I'll watch to see how difficult it is first though 😅
Ah yes when cod wasn’t a micro transaction hell filled with sweats who played all day, their was good players but people just had fun and it was still new and casual
+1 for my boy Klooger, great community man for Seum and Cyber Hook. Would recommend checking out those speedgames if they sound interesting
Never thought I’d see rocket junking in COD 😂 ~2:50
closer to ~2:40 actually
I remember spending an unreasonable amount of time trying to get out of bounds in some of the places in CoD4 with just basic climbing, sure would have been useful to know the speedrun techniques back then though as a non-speedrunner I used to refuse to look up that sort of thing.
These techniques were used in competitive matches far before speedrunning. Elevators were banned but not bounces.
Just made a huge shrimp pasta and needed something to eat to, this is perfect timing baby

It's simple. I see BT in a video I click like just that simple.

Is this just your first run on mouse and keyboard or have you genuinely never played a shooter with mouse and keyboard? I find that insane
The only game I’ve really played with mouse and keyboard is Runescape so I had a bit of dexterity built up from that, but always played FPS games in high school on my Xbox 360. To me the modern warfare series was the most fun I ever had with these sort of games and whenever it came to trying out new releases nothing ever came close so I just stopped playing them. I do regret never trying out something like CSGO tho, that looks pretty fun.
@@EZScapeSpeedruns thats crazy I cant imagine what your skill ceiling would turn into. Love the videos man, keep up the great work
Great vid Ezekiel Scape. Would love to see some more cod vids and if movement tech is shared across cod games.
Mw3 next habibi ;)
Best game ever
Xfire days
awesome video, love seeing you show this game off :)
Still the best game in the Call of Duty Franchise
You forgot to mention while you're strafing changing your max fps also increases your speed. Forgot the pattern but something like 250 333 125 250 there were only a couple of people I knew that knew how to actually properly fps swap since the timing is insanely hard and important
In single player campaign fps doesn’t impact movement like it does in multiplayer. For example, 333 fps doesn’t increase jump height or make any change to velocity.
Now I want to see the entire trilogy in an anthology speedrun.
Oh boy its 11 PM!
Ah god I love cod 4/ mw2 mechanics. Strafing, Elevators and bounces are my fucking childhood
YES, we love the COD videos ❤
Oh man these glitches are my childhood. I remember using the elevator glitch just to fk around in multiplayer on console, people thought i was hacking
Dude these channels with 100k subs got quality better than millions subed channels
I found it darkly comedic how you even had strats to speed up Sgt. Jackson's horrific death in Aftermath. Hurry up and die, I need my splits!
146th.
W for ignoring MW3 comments like a chad
Unfortunately Mw2 speedrun is a little better but still a fun speed run, good vid btw
awesome vid man you should give max payne 3 speed run a try i think you would like it 👍
I would just like to note how he used the same three time numbers on each of the thumbnails.
Wait... its possible to see the guy before he gets eaten by the dog in all ghillied up?
Why does it need recruit
Even on ps4 this game.slays the rest of the entries. I played it alot on ps3 and ps4. Ima buy on ps5 just coz. Simple and straight to the point the things they added were great. They kept the original game and added customization wonderful cant believe it wasnt a hit. And isnt loved still
The remaster was garbage if that's what your talking about that's the whole reason it did poor as shit
mr beast??
waw next
dude i used to play enlisted around launch. so much fun
Wsg 👋
Edit: I was first for the first time
This gonna be the best fight you ever fought
Now make mw3
Nope now time for mw19
I just realized I never played a cod game.
Play this one, none of the others, unless you like Zombies, then BO1/WaW.
Holy shit it’s phoon!
I don't remember G3 having "clips" of ammo
Favourite cod
thank you
binds are cheating tho.
great concerpt but i would love to see how the top players, the history of who has held the top spot, who has dethroned them. basically how summoning salt does - yes
So many fond memories from this game. Was one of the first games I got when I got my 360 and it was so much fun going through the campaign. Thanks for yet another fun speedrunning video!
cod4 was my favorite campaign i beat the whole thing in one day and night and then i played it again
Pleasantly surprised to see Enlisted as a sponsor. It’s grindy as all hell but it’s actually really fun.
