Yea, you are what you eat. My mom is very much into holistic medicine and I totally believe it! It's definitely beneficial. I had an awful anxiety experience and it caused me what I believe PTSD because it was so bad and traumatic. I started taking supplements, eating better, going on walks and my anxiety stopped. Now when I started eating bad again it happens it again. It only came back when I ate bad countinuosly. Not just after one time of eating junk. Just a tip.

This is great it doesn’t take the panic attack away but when the mind starts engaging in other things it doesn’t let you lose your mind. It sucks bc you’re constantly thinking about the colors around you even though you’re still anxious but to be honest you have to continue to do that until you feel relaxed. I’ve done this where sometimes a 20 minutes pass and I still feel super anxious but after that I get to relax again it sucks but you have to do it. I used to just curl up and try to sleep and i would have my attacks back and forth for hours but getting distracted even when I want to curl up in a ball and just stay put has helped me tremendously! Hope everyone is doing better and there is hope! I’m writing this while I have one but I know that I will feel better on a while!

I have been struggling with severe depression and panic disorder for the past 3 years. I finally couldn’t take it anymore so I flew back to my hometown as I live alone overseas. I did not sleep an entire week thinking about how I’m gonna get into a plane and fly for so many hours without a panic attack. I informed the crew about my condition and told them to just calm me down in case I get one and trust me it surely works. Your mind gets prepared and believes there is a solution if you get an attack and the crew is there. That helped me from getting an attack. I consulted a psychiatrist in my hometown and on medications and I feel much much better. Here are a few tips that I used to follow that might help anyone
    1) Never find solutions such as biting a lemon or splashing cold water on your face as it might be a temporary solution and deadly in a long run instead try to over come it naturally. Such as - cook your favourite dish, play your favourite game, call and talk to friends never keep yourself idle. Panic attack is just your mind preparing for a war that isn’t going to happen. You aren’t going to die for sure.
    2) Get help ASAP if it affects your social life, for me I couldn’t step out of the house to the shop down the road, I could never be home alone even though I stay with my girlfriend and I’ve had attacks for hours when my she isn’t around or goes to work. Regular therapy sessions are a great help, it’s definitely worth it and will give you a lot of ease.
    3) Reduce alcohol, smoking and caffeine. If possible completely quit them. These 3 are the significant cause that trigger a panic attack. My panic attacks were at its peak when I used to drink regularly, I’ve been sober for more than a year now and I don’t remember when was the last time I had an attack.
    4) If you’ve been suffering for a long time and nothing works, take the medications (it came down to that for me). That was like the last resort, I started off with 25 mg of Sertraline and gradually increased the dose. The first few weeks were HELL as it makes you feel more anxious and gives you sever panic attacks before setting you right. Common symptoms in the first few weeks include - head ache, restlessness, insomnia, body pain and fatigued. But once your body is adjusted to it you should be fine. My doctor prescribed clonazepam 50 mg to take with Sertraline for the 1 week to help with these symptoms and get sleep. But week 2 I couldn’t sleep and looked like a zombie.
One thing I can assure everyone out there, this isn’t the end. Trust me, I had multiple suicidal thoughts and was under severe depression but I overcame it. I’m still under medication (100 mg Sertraline) and most probably will taper the dose and lessen it and then stop because it’s not advisable to abruptly stop as you may experience relapse - in other words go back to the scratch and experience panic attacks. Much love and prayers to you all ❤

@@MR.Crazy.369 Go for therapies/counselling sessions. If that doesn’t help, please see a psychiatrist as the last option. Try not to be idle, try and go out with friends. Make a note of all your problems and assess them if they are really worth of being depressed. Find the root of your depression, and work on it. If you ask me, depression is just a phase it’s NEVER permanent.

I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and I've had multiple panic attacks in my life. Been dealing with them for a whole decade, and they're usually due to family issues. I hate listening to other people yelling and screaming and banging stuff around. I get really scared, and my anxiety goes through the roof.
When I have panic attacks, they get pretty bad. I'm hyperventilating (taking in so much air into my lungs and my throat gets dry, so I'm coughing during that point), I'm crying my eyes out, I get numbness in my fingertips, I'm shaking and have a fast heart rate, and my body gets uncomfortably warm, and I'm thinking worst case scenario after worst case scenario. It's awful. Though it's comforting to know that other people go through similar situations.
Panic attacks are NOT fun!! They're one of the scariest things to go through. I do have means of calming myself down from them, like holding a weighted stuffed animal. Weighted things are very calming, and they usually help me in the midst of an attack.

My ex would eat the lemon salt when he felt anxious or panicky. He basically ate it constantly and wouldn’t eat real food and would vomit a lot. The acid was tearing up his stomach, esophagus, and teeth. So the lemon hack might be good for occasional attacks only. I’m no doctor though, I’m just passing on one person’s experience.

I suffer from what I think are anxiety attacks with no specific trigger. Tonight, I suddenly felt so dizzy and off balance (maybe due to dehydration, I don’t know) and it must’ve set me off. For the past 20 minutes I’ve been pacing in my home experiencing this awful thing. The wave of anxiety is unexplainable but those who have it know it very well. It’s just so awful and it makes you feel like you’re going to die even when you know you’re not going to. It’s insane and unfortunate for all of us who are forced to deal with it. What’s worked for me (kind of) is drinking a cold water bottle, stepping out into cold air, removing any prescription glasses from the face, warm tea and a banana. Also helps to have a loving companion like I do to help you sleep with a hug or massage. Also, pray! That always comforts me as well. I love you all and I’m so sorry you’re going through this but I wish you all the best and if you ever need to be talked through it or need some advice you can always reply to this comment and I’ll respond through here. Take care y’all! ❤

YOU DONT NEED A LEMON. YOU CAN CALM YOURSELF IN UNDER A MINUTE. JUST BREATH VERY SLOWLY AND DEEPLY. Once you've calmed your breathing, continue doing but now calm your mind. If sitting down, close your eyes and focus on the calmess taking over. If in public, focus on a tree, street sign, subway map etc. I promise, deep slow breaths ALWAYS slow down the body and mind. And an anxious mind can NEVER live in a relaxed body.

I went to the er and they prescribed an antihistamine attarax but I don’t like taking pills for things I can try to manage naturally as we all should unless it’s a neurological thing can any of you guys help me with this or have you ever had this issue?

If this doesn’t work do the opposite. Tighten your chest as tight as possible and breath in and out super farts for a bit then breath as you were breathing. You are gonna feel bad but then u will feel better.
