    Nice! The two feet at a time is very easy to work with. I was pulling out the entire length of the door panel in one strip. As you can imagine how goofy I looked, fighting with a strip of tape....the tape won and I am here now. Thanks so much!😊👍

    Good point about catching the paint by not pushing the tape down on the baseboard!

    Don’t remember ever painting a wall without painting the skirting board always makes it look neater

    • @Bapuji42
      @Bapuji42 11 місяців тому

      Ya but you usually do the baseboard a different color or sheen no?

    • @philipelliott7966
      @philipelliott7966 11 місяців тому

      Very sorry you miss understood me,what I meant was skirting are mostly white yes so after painting the wall finishing the skirting with a nice cutting in paint job with white puts a finish to your job

    What about segments of a baseboard that are not 100% flush tight against the wall that is to be painted?
    The paint gets down in the gaps and it just looks like crap.
    What to do? Thx.

    That's how I tape baseboard, cause it keeps the tiny paint roller splatters from going on baseboard. But a manually trim with brush after removing tape.

    Good advise. Can I use blue tape or needs to be green Frog's tape?

      Did you know the green frog isn't actually made from frogs ?

    What brand of tape? We seem to have an issue with any of them.

      You can tape, caulk and paint directly on top for a super clean line.

    What paint would ever fall when you’re rolling a wall sir please tell me are you loading up your sprayer or your roller and just letting it roll down the wall this is never happened to me even when I began painting at 14 years old I never ever use the crutch of tape I practised and that’s how I became a pro now I make money by not having to tape anything at allthat’s the difference between amateur and professional I guess good tutorial maybe you’re not making this for yourself maybe you’re making it for beginners, but even in the beginning they should not practice with tape they will never become good if they do

    i was a painter for 45 years and i have never seen a painter pull off two feet sections. he is uninformed. pull out tape and start it on the base. then turn the roll of tape 45 degrees and your tape will fit perfectly against the wall and base. hey handyman, why didnt you knife down the edge of tape

    The amount of time wasted on taping you'd have the dam thing painted

      It for sure makes it slower but the final product is so much nicer

      What is your hurry. If you want perfect crisp lines, this is the best way. You can get close free hand but it won’t be nearly as good as taping!

    ? Why? You should’ve been a painter long enough that you know how to use your tool which would be your paintbrush I never ever started out painting and taping. This is such a waste of time and money and I’ve painted in multi million dollar homes where everything had to be perfect, so please just tell me why you wouldn’t practice the normal way? This is expensive and not efficient. I understand if you’re just learning and you never ever want to practice to get better but ultimately you have to make tons of cutting mistakes to be a pro and this is not professional, sir even changing colours from a dark blue to a white, I can cut a linewithout using tape I’m not bragging but I guess that’s just me and I have to say this please people don’t waste your money on this tape

      I’ve heard that a million times over the years…..it’s as laughable now as the first time I heard it.
