Yeah this worked for me too. Cheers! Had a few more cables in mine but close enough. Almost had a panic attack when I first lifted the bonnet and took a look!
Great Video - Easy step by step instructions with clear viewing plus showing how to do the job easily. Fitted my new battery today!!! Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the video, just a quick word the red round caps in the end of the battery need to be removed they are just used in transit. They are to let the battery breath and need to be removed before insulation or the battery will in the end explode
Great video. I would also cut off those quick clamps and add proper thick bolt on clamps to ensure proper contact. The negative was bolt on clamp on my car but the positive was that junk quick clamp and i switched it to proper bolt on clamp along with changing the 2 wires that are soldered to it. Its so thin metal it weakens with time and start causing contact problems especially in cold winter starts. I hate it when car makers use these cheap battery clamps instead of proper bolt on ones.
Great video, made it look easy and simple....gave me the push to change the completly dead battery myself...it went pretty simple, had some wire xtra in my 308sw..but just took that one off an back on same as the others...thanks for the video, im of for a drive now...weee
Im feeling so peaceful to hear a bird sounds on your video, that's like you're in the jungle or beach.. I wished you could show me around.. hehe.. Thanks for the instructions anyway
I agree it is very difficult to access, made so much easier by the quick release clamp on the back (neg) terminal see my comment on 2015 citroen C4 where the neg terminal has 2 bolt on connectors, thats difficult!!!!!

Hey lads! So I charged my battery with a charger over 24 hours until it was full, after two rides of 8km each and 7 hours not using the car, it was emty, what do you reckon? Is it the generator or the battery. Worth mentioning that my car wasn't used for a month and stood still in minus 2 Celsius.
It could be either but it sounds like the battery is the most likely problem. It could also be a parasitic drain from somewhere. How old is the battery ?
What an arduous and difficult process just to replace a car battery ! The French makers....what were they thinking ? Monsieur, replacing a car battery should be as simple as replacing the batteries in a flashlight...come to think about it....it is in a Toyota or a Nissan. Peugeot, any reason for this if it is not a trade secret ?
You think this is bad ?, have you seen the process for changing the air filter on the 308 ?.....it's ridiculous !. The designers clearly weren't thinking about service personnel when they designed these cars ! :)
Greetings, thanks for the video, I have a 2015 Citroen C4 when I removed the battery box cover, the neg terminal is bolted on in 2 places. Ioosened the neg clamp bolt but could not remove the clamp. The other clamp is under the windscreen and is extremely difficult to get to. Had to give up at this point and put everything back so I could close the windows and lock the car. Any ideas anyone, should the battery have failed after only 5 years?
I haven't removed a C4 battery myself but it sounds ridiculously complicated. Is yours similar to the one at 2:12 in this video ? : ua-cam.com/video/FGXNlcw4dGg/v-deo.html
@@screwsnutsandbolts Greetings and thank you so much for your reply, my c4 2015 blue SS has lots of similarities but has more cables and connectors on the front of the Batt than your video. The really difficult part was undoing the back Neg terminal, which wasn't quick release like your video. Perhaps for any future batt change you need to do on a C4, the easier way is to leave the battery clamp as is because this needs to come out with the Batt. Instead using a long ring spanner to undo the other nut and remove that clamp also there is a small cable connector that must be undone, then the Batt can be moved. My local trusted garage declined to do the job so I decided to have a go myself!
For your kindness in replying , I am sending a youtube link to a video that shows my model more closely, I hope this is helpful to you. The replacement battery must be 70 AH AND an AGM type (IE) a gell battery for this stop start C4. Is it usual to have to change a battery after only 5 years and 9K miles? I have never used the stop start facility, it's not a good idea in my oppinion.
You usually disconnect the black negative terminal first but with this particular car you have to take the red terminal off first, to remove the battery cover, to then gain access to the black one
Greetings, Yes you are right, my 2015 C4 HDI needs a 70AH AGM (ie) a gel battery because it's a stop start model. Very very Expensive Citroen price £230 inc vat, £150 plus in Halfords and £15 to change it, or £150 plus vat from a local motor factor! Also very difficult to change.
