This program is great. I recall hearing it from time to time long ago;, but this is a special treat for it to be on UA-cam. The original commercials make it even better from a simpler world👍👍
I am so glad I stumbled upon this channel!! It brought back memories of a simpler time and family. We just don’t have anything like this airing now, certainly not on radio or television. I even enjoy listening to the adverts. Thank you so much for posting!
Love these shows! I am 35 years old and it was my father who would tell me about this show. I mentioned to him last weekend that I have found them on youtube to listen on. The music started boring me at work so i finally tuned into these and i am hooked. Thanks Chilly

So great to be able to close my eyes and use my imagination..... finally a benefit of a smart phone ... use to listen to these as a kid ... so pure ...
I remember riding my first bike to west Dallas Texas and listening to this. Then road the 12 miles back home and listened again. Thank u for doing this. If u don't do this who will. I smile when I think about those bygone times.
I listened to these old radio stories from the 1970's until they were taken off radio in the 80's, it's a shame most millennials have no time or use for theater of the mind ,I just finished the 1950's series I remember as a child X Minus 1 & fell back into Mystery theater ,so much better than tv .
I was born in 75, and grew up listening to these with my single father on our long road tried. We grew up listening to these and reruns of the ones he grew up with. In the 40s on.
I have a lot of recordings of some early CBS MT and also X-1 and dimension X. But not the later ones so it's really nice hearing them on here. Thanks .
Hey the visual cinematography of this upload is incredible look at that camera angle that's sheer genius. The light's perfect it's masterpiece. Look at how it brings out the greenness of that...thing. it's verdant! 😄
Dude even the late 90s -- early 2000s we had instant Messenger apps. But it wasn't real life. It wasn't pervasive all the time 24/7 wtf I feel so bad for these kids man
So true, man! I was a kid in the 1970s, too. Probably one of the best decades to grow up in despite the fashions being kind of wacky. No helmets when riding bikes, no “participation trophies”, no girls in the Boy Scouts and no girls in the Boy Scouts, no computers, no video games, no texting, etc, etc.
I loved 😍 listening to this on WBBM 78 back in the 1970s to the mid-1980s or so 😊! Recently subscribed to this channel. Words can't express how grateful I 🙏 am to find these shows again on UA-cam. Too young to have heard them back in the 1940s to 1950s when radio serials were being broadcast everywhere ; however, my dad told me about a company called Radio-Ola ." Contacted them and found a cornucopia of great radio 📻 shows, comedy, suspense, and more. Found more on OTR and looking for more.😊
The narrator, E. G. Marshall, refers to an alleged encounter between an army helicopter and a UFO in Ohio. Here is a description of that 1973 event from a 2012 edition of the Cincinnati newspaper, CityBeat. "On Oct. 18, Capt. Lawrence J. Coyne was at the controls of a U.S. Army Reserve Super Huey flying at 2,500 feet on a crystal clear night not far from the city of Mansfield when a strange red-light appeared in the southeastern sky (cue the creepy music). "Seconds later, Coyne and the rest of his three-man crew watched in shock as the red light made a beeline straight for their Super Huey. Coyne grasped the copter’s throttle stick and dove. The Super Huey was descending 2,000-feet per minute and moving at 100 knots. But it was useless - the red light was moving at a speed that defied logic. "Miraculously, mere moments before collision, the Super Huey was paralyzed. Coyne remembers the altitude was 1,700 feet when the mysterious red light revealed itself: It was a featureless, metallic-colored, cigar-shaped craft with no windows, as the crew would later agree. It hovered in front and slightly above their helicopter. The red light was positioned on the front nose cone of the ship. "Suddenly a sickly green light glared from the top of the UFO. A green light that quickly formed a cone-ish, searchlight appearance, and slowly swiveled towards the front of the helicopter - flooding the cockpit. "Within seconds the cigar-shaped ship disengaged from the Super Huey, but as in any good horror flick, Coyne and crew were not out of the woods. The helicopter’s compass disk began spinning out of control, Coyne told military investigators, and the copter itself was ascending at a 1,000 feet-per-minute clip even though Coyne insisted he had the throttle stick pressed forward in descent mode."
The shows take me back to the 70s listening to am radio and staying up past my bedtime in the city of Walnut California....and I still listen 50 years later...omg I'm old...lol
The actual Rendelshem Forest incident in UK is what you are trying to recall. If you haven't read or heard of it there are videos of the actual soldiers stating what happened. It occurred in the 80's. They spoke openly at a 2010 or later United Press International conference. The conference was all top official military and Government officials speaking on personal UFO experience. It's mind blowing.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!! If some beings like the ones in this story try to warn us about our destructive ways, I fear that the message will fall on deaf ears....... which not long after would become dead ears.
Spoiler alert, below: Normally I love these, and usually thoroughly enjoy vintage Sci-Fi from the 1940s through the present. This was interesting and mostly enjoyable, but had so many holes in it. 1) Why is an Army Major blabbing details about Project Counter Strike to civilians, and how would this project already be known worldwide? Incredibly unlikely. 2) Snowmobiles go undetected by aliens capable of faster than light travel, nuclear physics? 3) Aliens whose eyeballs emit great amounts of electricity to kill or disable people, also presumably destroy other objects? 4) The alien was defeated so easily so as to be captured. Incredibly unlikely as they would have studied us in great detail. 5) Supposedly nuclear explosions in our atmosphere can travel through light years of space and pollute their planet? Scientifically impossible! 6) The age: old military bad, weapons bad, spacemen good - it was overdone in the 1950s and worn out in the 1970s and such drivel today. 7) Allowing civilians into the base?! Unless the world is coming to an end, that will not happen! There was a blizzard and UFO sighting - not an Extinction Level Event!

Thank you chilly, started driving in 70s I listened to this kind of radio all the time in my beat up first car!
Love the old timey radio shows. Also find it kinda funny that all space names from that era have the letter Z in them for some reason.
Except for this one... Rotar
There's a Mexican drug cartel called, "Los Zetas". Zetas were the officers who formerly served the Mexican government's counter drug efforts.

Could not agree more!!!! And the news segments are great too! True escape from the present…
I listened to these on AM radio in bed when I was a kid. Love it!
Ahh the memories this brings back. The 70s, the best time for a boy. Before all the gadget's and distracted life we have today
I agree although I grew up in the 80s. 2019 is like some bad sci-fi film.

So bored of hearing the good aliens trying to save our planet from us.
I would have taken two rolls of film and only gave the Army one roll of film...
But honestly do you believe in spaceships ?
As Agent Moulder says, "I want to believe!"
Loved this thank you.
You're welcome.
You have amazing beauty my Lady !!!
