- Today, I'm sharing how to make a delicious and easy mango panna cotta.This mango panna cotta is made of 3 layers; Vanilla panna cotta, mango panna cotta, and mango topping. - The smooth panna cotta and the melty topping taste so perfect together.

📌 The ingredients to make mango panna cotta
Enough amount for 4 glasses (10oz | 295g)
[Vanilla Panna Cotta Base]
• Gelatin sheet or powder: 8.0 g | 0.28 oz (About 2.5 tsp * Level the surface.)
* You can also use gelatin powder. Follow the package instruction and let it hydrate beforehand if needed.
• Whole Milk: 320 g | 11.3 oz (1 1/3 US cups)
• Lemon peel: from 1 Lemon
• Vanilla beans: 2/3 pod (Or vanilla extract: 1/2 tsp)
• Granulated sugar: 85 g | 3 oz (2/5 US cup)
• Heavy cream: 480 g | 17 oz (2 US cups)
[Mango Puree] Use it for mango panna cotta and the mango topping.
• Fresh mango for puree 200 g | 7 oz (from about 1 large mango)
• Granulated sugar: 1 Tbsp
• Lemon juice: 1 tsp
[Mango Panna Cotta] *** The updated amounts. (It says 100 g | 3.5 oz each in the video but I adjusted the amount slightly for cup measuring. It works either way!)
• Vanilla panna cotta base: 120 g | 4.2 oz (About 1/2 US cup) (** Set aside the amount before pouring vanilla panna cotta in glasses.)
• Mango puree (Recipe above): 120g | 4.2 oz (About 1/2 US cup) (** Save the rest for mango topping)
[Mango Topping]
• Fresh mango: 240 g | 8.5 oz (from about 1 large mango)
• The rest of the mango puree after using it for mango panna cotta (Recipe above)
[Garnishing]
• Fresh mint (optional)
• Honey (Optional)

As your choice, you can make it without the layer of mango panna cotta or make more of the portion: You just need to mix 1:1 mango puree and panna cotta base. Adjust the recipe as you like!
Depending on how sweet your mango is, you can add more or less sugar in mango puree!

Yes, you can use gelatin powder ! I used gelatin with 230 bloom. Check the package and see if it says the amount of bloom( it is a strength of gelatin. If the number is higher, it means it has more power to harden liquids with less amount.) if it doesn’t say, I recommend you to try making one time and see if you need to add more or less next time🙏🏻
Can i use powder gelatin instead of gelatin sheet? And if i can how much should i use?
Yes! Use the same amount and see if you need to adjust next time. Oftentimes, you'll need to mix gelatin powder in cold water (oftentimes 4-5 times amount) for about 5-10 mins. I think you'll find the direction in the package!

It’s only 30 bloom difference, so you could try with the same amount especially if you like soft panna cotta. Or you can add just slightly more.

The recipe has too much sugar!! Everything else is good but just too much sugar added! I checked other people’s recipes and they put half to 1/3 of the sugar this recipe suggests. It’s way too sweet to eat even just for a few spoonfuls. I highly recommend you adjust your sugar amount in this recipe please!
Thank you for the suggestion. The sugar content for the panna cotta is about 1/10 of the whole content which is not overly sweet to the point we can’t eat more than a few spoonfuls, at least at where I grew up with. But of course, It’s a personal preference, I’m sorry it was not right for you…🙏🏻

Why? Tell me why would you make add whole milk to a panna cotta? Panna cotta means cook cream so why add milk to it and ruin a delicious dessert?.
