Well done and thanks so much for making the laundry renovation series. I’m about to embark on renovating my laundry and your series of videos was absolutely fantastic to watch prior to this venture. I learned so much and it certainly made me change my mind about painting over the existing tiles (which I was planning to do). I’ve put the series in my library because I know I will be watching each one again as I get to the various stages. Cheers and your laundry looks fabulous. 😀👍
Great job and for future reference, Vinegar will "dissolve" the grout and backing on tiles, just pour over the tiles, leave untill it soaks in, you'll see the grout "bubble" and may want to add more Vinegar, then you'll hear the "pinging" like popcorn as the tiles come away clean. Great if you want to take some out and use elsewhere as I did when I removed a wall, I took an area out and inlay carpet with a brass edge, and used the tiles to finish the floors in another area matching the existing tiled floors.
Awesome series and thanks for all the hard work putting it together. Renovation is hard enough but to video and produce it and turn it into a great story is a huge effort. I'm pretty handy but not in your league - really learned some good tricks of the trade. Bunnings should be chasing you down with a fat contract mate! Cheers and thanks from Sydney - Dave and the missus (subbed)
My wife has a bee in her bonnet about renovating our laundry while we're stuck at home. I said "sure thing love". Having just watched your excellent series, I would like to know when you're moving to Sydney. :-)
The new floor looks awesome!! The entire laundry room looks brand new. I noticed you posted this video in 2019 so this info might be too late. Lighter colored grout will always darken if not thoroughly, frequently cleaned and sealed. If your grout remains light you can probably purchase grout sealant where you purchased your tile. I suggest 2 coats. If you have not noticed the grout darkening you can purchase grout colorant pens. Sealant after the colorant dries is advised. It is annoying and more wear-&-tear on the knees and back but the long-term impact is beneficial.
Great work mate! Found this series when looking for review of the tile paint. Bunnings advised me to use the wrong tile paint and in the end I lost 18 hours of time fixing it. They replaced it with the one you used. I just finished painting the floor with it the other day and seems OK. As you said for the price it's pretty good. I was very nervous it would flake badly but you efforts to smash it with hammer, chisel and sandpaper was actually reassuring.
Sooooo glad I watched these! I was about to use the rustoleum product to shortcut a rental property Reno. Now I’m going to put my man pants on a get the jackhammer! Thanks again! Legend!
I’m not surprised the floor didn’t hold up very well, that Rustoleum product you used and showed in the floor makeover video was labeled “For Wall Tiles” ... But painting tiles as a temporary “fix” til one can properly replace the flooring is not a bad option on a budget.
Maybe if the color was closer to the color of the tiles, any damage would not even be noticeable. And really, how many irons get dropped... Thanks for the video!
Thank you for sharing. I have that same small tile pattern in my bathroom. I thought about painting it, it will be at least 2 years before I can do my full remodel and put down new tile. I also have thought about a nice peel and stick vinyl tile. What is your opinion - because they are not the full tile size, will peel and stick work with all those grout lines?
Hi Shellie, thanks for watching. The stick on vinyl would need as much surface area to adhere to as possible, anything less and you are making it less effective. Also, you would have to consider the cost and see whether or not its just better to wait. It sounds like you have a full remodel planned anyway :)
Disregard my question on the floor product I asked on your last video. Sorry for what happened to your floor especially after all the work you put in. Tiling a floor is THE WORST job as I have learned!!
Come on Bunnings, this guy is amazing!! He deserves to get a collaboration with Bunnings👍
U seem like the most humble guy ever! Keep up the good work

So great to hear a familiar accent eh as most Reno clips are American . Thanks for your work 😊🙏🏽
cheers!

Wow what a difference. I really love those tiles, so much better than before.
Thanks for the paint durability test.
Great job mate!

Nice one man. It's not a bad product for the price, but good to keep your expectations low on longevity
You’d probably get on well with my son ... he’s a chippy and loves Bunnings so much, he got a tattoo of the sausage sizzle on his arm 😋
Looks so mint nice job
Beautiful work
Turned out very nice! Amazing transformation.

Looks wicked!
Hey! Thanks Brittneyy :)
The finale how sad please post more renovation videos
good video, you should back butter your tile next time. Gives the tiles more glue coverage.
How come no screed down on the floor before the tiles..?

@@TheHandyTech Yes - just not soon enough! Thanks
Thanks for the vid, noted not to keep a pup in the laundry. Cheeky bugger
4:27 is he using the hammer backwards?
Cute very informative
I would of ate the dog. Lol not really but it's sad because he did a very good job on the tile but if it wasn't for that 🐕😔

The loud music is unnecessary
