There's truth to this statement. I couldn't ever find people to show me shit til you tube came. I started guitar around 1994ish at 26 ... I'm 53 still struggle with it but it helps smooth out the wrinkles in my head. I use guitar as an outlet when my energy just wants to do nothing but play party songs from the 69 70 n 80s.
Marty's one of those bright pillars helping me and many others in these trying times

Learning ANY song all the way through , and practicing it , will apply to EVERY song you learn from there forward . Original studio album: Skynyrd had two (Gary Rossington and Allen Collins)
Live: 1973-1975 did indeed have three (Ed King was moved to third guitar to fill out the sound live)
1975-June 1976: back to just Gary and Allen briefly
June 1976-October 20, 1977: added Steve Gaines as third guitarist/additional vocalist and songwriter.
