Marty schwartz has single handedly created the next generation of guitarists. Couldnt be more thankful. Been playing for 5 years and for the rest of my life. Thank you marty.
There's truth to this statement. I couldn't ever find people to show me shit til you tube came. I started guitar around 1994ish at 26 ... I'm 53 still struggle with it but it helps smooth out the wrinkles in my head. I use guitar as an outlet when my energy just wants to do nothing but play party songs from the 69 70 n 80s.
Yeah man another lynyrd skynyrd video. Its really awesome we are able to learn so many songs for free. Marty you are incredible! Do some more Skynyrd lessons, because they have some really great songs everyone should learn!
I'd say Marty is an absolutely pro. Patient teacher, encouraging, personality. Don't know where you "came from" but you get a PhD in guitar instruction. There are so many terrible instructors out there. Thank you Marty!
I have gone grey along with marty and learned so much from this channel since 2007. Marty, if you ever read this, thank-you, thank-you so much for all your hard work brother. Peace man
Ive been playing guitar for 8 year now and first learned how to play from your videos just wanted to to thank you for helping me. I sometimes pop in and watch even though I already can play the songs🙏
After watching this I went back to Re watch your lesson from 12 years ago and all I can say is WOW how much you’ve grown as a teacher (and every where else 😉) love you man
Marty!!!! Bro! Yet again. You slam dunk this song. I remember 4th of July, Tulsa, Ok. "Willie Nelson's 4th of July Bash". One of the last performances. It was 110°. People were cheering through this song. Everyone sang the chorus. It was phenomenal
Original studio album: Skynyrd had two (Gary Rossington and Allen Collins) Live: 1973-1975 did indeed have three (Ed King was moved to third guitar to fill out the sound live) 1975-June 1976: back to just Gary and Allen briefly June 1976-October 20, 1977: added Steve Gaines as third guitarist/additional vocalist and songwriter.
If you have abilty , can practice an hour or more most days - and follow this very generous guitar players HAND IT TO YOU instructions - you will be on your way to becoming a great guitar player just by building your library of songs you can play . Learning ANY song all the way through , and practicing it , will apply to EVERY song you learn from there forward . Muscle memory alone will take you far far into musical ability just from learning and practicing - this guy is a GIFT to every struggling guitar player . THANKS MARTY - 💫💖💫
Merci Marty! Tu es le meilleur prof de guitare. Je te suis depuis plus de 10 années et c'est toujours un régal !! Super morceau, super prof. Thanks from south of France 🇨🇵
I still remember and occasionally play part of that intro that I learned from you, I don't know how many years ago. Lol Nice to see the acoustic rhythm progression. Can't wait to play that part.
Love your lesson+tutorial teaching! I'm a huge Skynyrd fan and wanted to know if you would do "Needle and the Spoon"? Thanks again for sharing your talent with us.
Yes, Tuesday’s gone, we’re Thursday ! Thanks a lot Marty, you’re the best. Amazing song and amazing teacher! Please, can you do a lesson for Prince’s Purple Rain? What an amazing song.
Can’t wait to bring this to my band. They’ve wanted to cover this for some time now. Because there’s viewers of all levels, it might be worth mentioning the song is 6/8 which might catch some folks off guard. Especially when playing leads.
Beautiful song & tutorial Marty 👍LS was so versatile in styles. Gary is tragically unsung, because he's so humble. OK, now truly challenge us even more with Steve Gaine's " I know a Little " 😉 🎸🔥 LUV YA Man !!! Thanks for being you !!!
Fantastic Gilmour-style tone there on that Les Paul. And I will have to watch your fingers closely to get those little solo bits you did in the last 3 minutes or so of the video!
Marty I have to say. I love getting your notification. It inspires me to pick up my guitar and learn the next song. Your lessons end up being more of jam tracks after I learn the song. Which actually leads me to a question. If you actually read this comment. Do you have any jam tracks?
Thank-you so much marty for taking the time to make these videos ur a legend brother you changed my life i love music and always wanted to learn guitar you've helped me so much so I just want to say from the bottom of my heart Thank-you
You are a life saver like i was and am depressed af dude and this pops up and im like yeaaas it helps man its therapy... Their really is a fine line between genius and insanity i promise thats why artists seem so crazy cause they are
You're the man Marty! I've learned just about everything I know about guitar from this channel. Could you do a video on My Mind Is Ramblin' by The Black Keys from their album Chulahoma? That whole album is incredible in every way, but especially guitar. All covers from their main influence, bluesman Junior Kimbrough. If you haven't heard it yet you'd I'm sure you'd enjoy it!
Thanks for this one Marty, one of my favourite songs, I like that you included how to play it on both acoustic and electric, will have to come back and learn it on electric guitar when I get myself one haha.
RIP CHUBBS (and the aligátor, grandma Gilmore and especially Abe Lincoln)
This comment made me laugh. BUT you forgot about Shooter McGavin (unless he didn’t die bc they beat him up)
Very funny, I forgot Sandler used this song. RiP Ronnie Van Zant
Go ahead and add Bob Barker now too #RIP #ThePriceIsWrong
It’s okay Happy! Look! I got my hand back!! 😂
🤣 🤣 🤣

The most valuable part of that guitar is the fact that Marty actually played it
Hey Marty, thank you for the Tuesday's Gone guitar lesson. One of my favorite songs .... loved Lynrd Skynyrd!!!! Greatly appreciated!!!
Marty, that short jam detour in the intro routed straight to the soul! Good stuff. Would love to hear more!
