    This video has been so helpful and essential to my growth as a custom figure artist. I took the liberty to purchase almost all of the colors you used and was able to recreate multiple skin tones that were made and showcased. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your contributions to the Custom Community, your work is inspiring and always appreciated to see new content.

    Do you paint the apple barrel paint straight on or do you add a primer before ? I'm thinking of painting a figure so curious

    • @thefiguredude
      @thefiguredude  3 місяці тому +1

      I’ve painted a lot straight on, but priming does help for some of them. Lighter colors like yellow, orange, or pink don’t cover well at all. Grey, black, blue do cover well. Priming is the easiest way to assure it covers nicely.

    I’m forever not knowing how to maintain whatever brushes I use so I end up leaving them in the water but I see how u are rinsing them and drying them with a paper towel so I will try that. Can you tell me what brand of brushes you use for the details like eyebrows, eyes, lips n teeth sed do you have tutorials on that?

    • @thefiguredude
      @thefiguredude  Рік тому

      Yep. I have my cup of water and paper towel. Keep the brushes as clean as possible, cause I used to go through them quick. Rinsing them helps me keep the paint thin, too. I’ll have to check. Idk what brand, but I just ordered a relatively cheap set off Amazon that had fine tip brushes. I don’t have a tutorial for that, but I can add it to the to-do list!
