The reason namco museum DS doesn't have dig dug 1 is because the original DS was backwards compatible with the game boy advance and The game boy advance version of namco museum has dig dug 1, as well as ms pac man and Pole position. The game boy advance also had a separate standalone cartridge with the NES version of dig dug 1 on it, and I believe they simply expected you to use that feature to play the original dig dug on your DS. Although I had a DSi so that never really happened 🥲
Xevious is probably the toughest game in the collection. Maybe one day you will enjoy it, it took a while for me as a kid. As for Galaxian, I can't blame you for disliking that one. It's nice to see younger people enjoying the classic arcade games you seem to know what you're talking about.

Namco Museum DS is my most experienced Namco Museum. I always bring the 3DS and this compilation with me to play Mappy, Galaga and Pacman on the go, mainly on bus trips. This is honestly my favorite Namco Museum compilation, and is the first Namco Compilation I ever owned. I agree, Mappy is a really awesome game :) Out of all the Namco Arcade games, Mappy is my favorite, and is the one I play the most. I wish Namco also added Mappy's Arcade sequel which is called Hopping Mappy on Namco Museum DS though. Yep, Mappy has sequels as well, 3 sequels to be exact. And they're all as great as the original Mappy in my opinion.
What saddens me is the fact that Namco Museum for the Gamecube has the opportunity to put Mappy and Mappy Arrangement since the Gamecube compilation also includes Arrangement versions, but for some reason, they didn't. But hey :) At-least Mappy is included in Namco Museum 50th Anniversary for Gamecube.

My god, I just remember picking this game up from gamestop and playing it to death. Until I lost the cartridge. But I found a Rom of the game and its still as fun as I remembered. Sure, I can't play Pac-Man VS, but I never played that game alot. Also, I kinda agree with you on galaxain. Its just a really slowed down version of galaga. Also, now that I found out the other Pac man games, I kinda wish some of them were in this.

Galaga has more to it. The shooting is faster, the sound is less obnoxious, and you can double up your ships to double the firepower. Opinions are opinions, but how do you prefer Galaxian?
In terms of gamecube, I prefer N.M. 50th anniversary, it has pac mania and mappy and P.P. and PP2, too bad you have to unlock pac mania but if you do it's a lot of fun. It's also on ps2 and xbox, the gamecube I the highest I've played so far, xbox might be a little rare
Actually you can exit the game with buttons by pressing L, R, and Start, also demos are the full games, just with the original settings, and you can’t modify the game’s settings, only button setup and screen orientation

Dig dug was not originally Namco it was Atari, so I’m guessing why it’s not in it
