Video of me fixing my Shark Iq Robot Vacuum. Shark AI Robot model rv2001drus. This is a common fix if your shark vacuum keeps saying error number 2 please underneath the robot for an obstruction. I had to remove the roller brush and clean it in order to get it to work again. - Наука та технологія

Thank you so much for this video. My wife and I were pulling out our hair trying to figure out why it wouldn't go for very long after we had cleaned out hair wrapped around the main roller brush. It kept saying "obstruction" and we couldn't figure out what was going on. This video saved the day as I opened up the bottom and found a wad of hair just like you did in the side wheel.

Very helpful. I had pulled out some of the hair underneath and cleaned the filter but was still having issues. Wound up having the same issue as you with hair stuck at the end of the roller when you removed it completely. Olga is working just as she always does now. Why I didn’t think to remove that to begin with I’m not sure, but videos like yours are great ways to make sure you don’t miss anything.

This solved my problem. My husband had taken it apart and cleaned everything a couple of times and we still got the same error. Followed this and it fixed it. Thank you! We have 2 English springer spaniels and hardwood floors and NEED our robot vacuums! 😊

Omg, thank you!!!! I actually clean my Shark RV1001AE IQ Robot Self-Empty XL every other day and just had the error number 2 message happen. Cleaned it again, still getting the message, replace the roller brush (it’s nearly 2 years old), still get the message.
Was just about to purchase another vacuum and thought let’s check UA-cam. I didn’t realize I could take that tiny cradle part out where the roller sits and clean it. Yup!!! Gunk in there hemming up the ability to turn. Cleaned, WD-40 in there, put it back together…said a prayer and hit the clean button and waited. 😬
It’s working!!!!!! Much thanks for pointing this out and now I’ll add that step to my cleaning routine!!! Sweep3PO and I are extremely grateful!!!

Eureka, You solved my problem with my Shark robot vacuum. I don't have the model you have, but it was similar enough for me to fix "error #2". Yippee, here's to a clean hairless floor.
Just removed the biggest clump of hair that I didn’t know could even build up in there. Thanks for the help! 👍🏻

Finally!!!! Thank you so much for this video!!! I was shocked that there was SO much hair in this roller because it was not visible without the roller out!!! I will say that Id add that the right side of the roller just pops up and was easier with the waste bin removed. I used a very small flat head screwdriver to pop it up. Both sides were full of hair and im running the map all over again because like you, I deleted everything thinking it had a memory! Lol! Thank you again!!

I actually found a bunch of hair beneath the wheels as well took T15 tip to remove. Removed the pet hair clumps and R2D2 went back to work. Thanks for the video!

Seriously thnk u!! Its the hair in that little wheel on the end of the wheel- i cleaned it out 3 x- funny how the littlest wrap of hair doesn’t allow it to function- i did not do any lubrication YET-

Dude!!! Thank you for this video! My Shark took a shit after 2 months. Come to find out the side of the rollers had a full set of hair which was restricting the roller. Thanks dude!

The gray piece you unscrewed...it does come out, just wiggle it a little and it pops out. Also the gray end of the roller brush comes off and can be cleaned.

My new robot was giving me this error different model but it was similar issue even the guy at shark support couldn’t figure it out since it’s under warranty I called them and he said it’s not covered dang !! It ur helpful video is awesome it cleared the error n started to work

I don't have any pets, so I thought this didn't apply to me. But, since I'm out of warranty I gave it a shot. Taking the cap off the roller (I just yanked it off, but there are plastic tabs that you should depress if you want to keep the two parts connected later) and I found a bunch of what looked like felt built up in there. Cleaned that out, put it back together and still got the error. Blew out the end with the drive motor and added silicone lube and VOILA! Now it works. Still waiting for it to complete a cleaning cycle but before this it wouldn't move more than 1 minute and die. I'd be interested in finding out what is behind that roller coupling, whether it is a bearing or just a slide joint that had the lube dry up. I'm not taking apart this robot since it's my only one, but maybe I'll look for someone on ebay who hasn't seen this video yet :)

@@MoOutdoorsandReviews Okay, so it made it better but it's still happening after about 15 minutes. The app keeps throwing a drive wheel notification, but, lubricating the roller assembly helped, so I am confused. Need to do more research.

This worked for me! I pulled a good fistful of cat hair out of the brush and small front wheel, and the robot is working fine now. Thanks for the help.

This didn't work, but what I found was the motor that rotates the brush was gummed up with dust. Cleaned all the debri out then oiled a little with Olive Oil and no more error! I was about to donate the darn thing than goodness I didn't.

Awesome fix. I have the same vacuum. I purchased the shark AI Robot. It was working for about two weeks. The battery is getting drained by the charger. I purchased a new battery and it drained the new battery while it’s charging. I know it’s charging because the charging unit led changes from green to blue. I not sure what’s wrong with the vacuum.

Perfect, worked for us. We also cleaned out the front directional wheel. We did not have the loud noise as you did from the roller.

Any video on how to fix the two sweepers. One keeps stopping then it stops saying obstruction. I have taken it apart numerous times and I have replaced those two little sweepers and it will go and then just stop and throw that message. Everything had been cleaned on it and it was full of hair.

So mine apparently caught a cotton ball up in one of the wheel wells. It was easy to fix. Just flip it upside down and use a Star Screwdriver to loosen the 5 screws and pull the wheel out. Careful not to pull too hard its attached by a wire.

how did you lubricate it what did you use?
hey, I used wd 40 silicone lube, regular wd40 will eat away at the plastic, you probably do not need to lube it up though, just remove the obstructing debris and you should be good to go, please subscribe if you found this video helpful as I am trying to grow my channel and have an awesome day

So I’ve done all this and now can’t reconnect it to my internet. Restarted Wi-Fi restarted phone and restarted the robot multiple times
It connects to my phone but then won’t connect to the wifi. Keeps saying Wi-Fi not found.

I cleaned roller underneath as what you showed to us, but it worked for ten mins then stopped saying that check the error #2, I changed new roller, it still didn’t work. Is there any other reason caused error #2? Thanks a ton
you probably need to clean the end caps on either side of the roller, it doesn't look like the come off because so much stuff is stuck in them, but they come off
mine still keeps giving an error on the app...?

I cleaned out mine, oiled etc... still getting obrstruction error #2... any other ideas? is it the brushes (mine spin fine) or maybe a sensor not working?
if the brushes are spinning i would be surprised if its them, try taking them off and seeing if there is anything to stuck in there, try replacing the roller brush, link in the description, there are several options on amazon, i image you have a hairball in the vacuum somewhere, you can also try calling the service helpline that shark has, let me know if you get it figured out
Mine did the same until I took out the roller brush and pulled off the grey T bar end cap that comes out with the brush. Not the one that's attached my screws in this video. Dirt accumulates inside there and stops the roller from spinning freely. Maybe you're not supposed to do that, but my unit is under a year old and I wasn't about to buy a whole new roller brush before trying to fix the issue, especially since the roller isn't worn or distorted 🤷♀

I keep my vacuum clean on a regular basis but have been getting Error 2 for a month. I've tried to repair it a few times and have removed every bit of hair/fur as well as every bit of dust possible I think.... I even added lubricant-- except in the spot you showed at:

I would say it's better to never but a shark robot or replacement parts. It's unique to everyone but a lot of people with this error buy new parts and fix it and it still has the error happen as soon as it's on. It just changes the error to something new then you fix that and it's back to the same error 2. Terrible product but a great scam if you make money selling them.
