Welcome to the party! Home Free has been around for more than 20 years. A good place to start is with their Man of Constant Sorrow, Ring of Fire, and Folsom Prison Blues. All the guys are fine musicians. The singers all take lead in different pieces and the beatboxer, Adam Rupp (a co-founder of the group) holds everything together. Their harmony and arrangements are top-notch. By the way, you really need to use headphones or you'll miss 60% of everything that's going on. I couldn't believe the difference.
@@SaeedReacts.You'll really be surprised at the difference of a cappella that a set of head phones makes, even the less expensive ones u can still notice the difference.
Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.
So they all sing, amazing! I am learning so much. Makes me even more excited to continue this journey. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
#1 You are one good looking man with beautiful eyes and, I expect, a beautiful soul. #2 Home Free will amaze you with their tight harmonies, beautiful voices, and ability to sing any genre of song - country to opera to sea shanty to pop. I am so glad I found their music as it has greatly enriched my life. ENJOY your trip down the Home Free rabbit hole!
Never feel sorry for expressing yourself. That's how people get to know each other. Great reaction and I hope you will follow up with more reactions to Home Free. They are one great group.
This was done during Covid…unfortunately…But, they put out a new video every TWO WEEKS 💗‼️💗… And, on this one Tim(their Bass).. had been after Austin to do this one …as his voice is more than Perfect for this one ❣️💕❣️ They were at their perspective homes across the U.S. …. Did their part &, their Guru did his magic …&, we got This Beautiful Song ❣️💕❣️‼️
Welcome to the fabulous world of Home Free! These guys are known for their tight harmonies, best bass singer with a 5 octave range & world class vocal percussionist. They lean towards country but can sing any genre. They can all take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They do awesome covers & a lot of original songs too (3 of them are songwriters). Austin Brown (high tenor) did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's awesome vocal percussion. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group. Most new reactors start with "Man Of Constant Sorrow".
I really was in awe of their skill and talent. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. I will check out your suggestion!
They made a crazy song call Quarantine they did this video in their own homes, They all made a recording studio in their home and made us Home Fries a video ? song they even did a video / song with Don McLean. You can once again see they were at home. Oh, Don asked them to do this song.
Subscribed for more Home Free! Also, as someone who speaks multiple languages, I just want to say that your English is fantastic! There's no harm in improving it, but you don't have much to improve upon.
Great reaction! New sub! Came for the # Homefree ! They are 5 of the most talented guys in music today! And most certainly IMO the best Acapella group! They are individually great and them all together are phenomenal! They have a huge catalog of music. Every genre. They all have beautiful voices that blend so beautifully! These guys love what they do and love their Home fries(Home Free fans). And we love them too! Austin Brown(tenor) was the lead on this song, but they switch it up between all of them to sing lead. The bass is Tim Foust ( dark hair with gray streak), Rob Lundquist tenor ( beard and glasses) and Adam Chance (we call him Chance). baritone/ bass . And last but certainly not least the beatboxer/ vocal percussionist is Adam Rupp. ( the human drum kit!). They also believe in unity and shared experiences. Check out their cover 9f Everybody walking this land! And be sure to play it through the message at the end of the song. But pick any song from their huge catalog and you will not be disappointed! Thank you for your reaction and stay safe and healthy and have a blessed day! Enjoy your Home Free journey!❤
Thanks for your reaction, I enjoy you. Glad i found your channel, and excited that you found Home Free. I think you would love to hear them sing 'Undivided'. They honestly don't have a bad song.
Welcome to Home Free & all the Home Fries. Do use headphones/earbuds in the future reactions....you'll appreciate the difference. They do a lot of originals too...here are some of my favorites... So Long Dixie, Dive Bar Saints, Cross that Bridge, Why Not?, Understand, & When you walk in.
Thank you so much! I took that advice to heart and just recorded a few with headphones! It was a world of difference. There is a new reaction up now. Thanks for watching!
This was during Covid so I thought the use of TV’s was clever. Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. Such a good song. Love Home Free! Good reaction!😍😄
Man of Constant Sorrow and the Butts Medley are the logical next steps. Man of Constant Sorrow is a showcase of pure talent and amazing scripting. Butts Medley is just a big hoot but likewise a polished product. From there, I'd suggest Ring of Fire with Avi from Pentatonix. And of course, for more of this, then go to Pentatonix and Voiceplay. Geoff C. from voiceplay does a heck of a rendition of Ernie Ford's 16 Tons. Enjoy!
One thing I have noticed with acapella music is that the emphasis on voice means you can often hear the lyrics better than when there is instrumental backup.
Great reaction to our guys! Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. They lean country, but can and do, most genres. They do a lot of covers, but have many originals as well. One new original is their own song Skull and Bones, written and performed for the new video game coming out this month by Ubisoft. Maybe you would be interested in reacting to it. It is awesome. I will let the other Home Fries (Home Free fans) tell you more about the group and give more suggestions. New sub here! Thank you!

I like that you put emphasis on the lyrics and the meanings behind them, as well as on the voices. Home Free is my favorite vocal band, and has been for over a decade. They are talented and skilled in so many diverse genres and styles. They are 5 men with equal but different talents that when blended, create magic. Follow them and you will be constantly surprised and never disappointed!
Thank you. I go by instinct, sometimes its hit or miss, but i try to be honest and respectful. But this is honestly a joy to do. Such amazing artists. Excited to continue this journey.
I've always loved the late Percy Sledge's 1966 original (not so much Michael Bolton's cover). The writer of the song had been through a hard break-up and wrote "I gave you everything I had". Austin's (now wife) was in the studio (that's who he's looking at) and he sings "I'll give you everything I've got". This was done during Covid.

I am a Home Fry! Last year at this time I had no idea about these men, now I’m a super fan! Their talent is amazing! Please listen to “How Great Thou Art”, it was filmed in the mountains of Austria, beautiful music, gorgeous scenery! 🦋
Great Reaction!! Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole. The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do so so much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do. There is no Lead singer in the group. They each ( except Adam )sing the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance.A lot of time they each have a part in the song. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) Very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair )Voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass Deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016) They have collaborated with many singers and legends Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message) Billy Gilman:One Voice Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end ) Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA Any many many more. They have 3 amazing songwriters in the group Tim,Austin and Chance so they have a very large playlist of covers and original songs End of the Road (Boyz 2 Men cover ) When A Loves A Woman Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony masterpiece ) Unchained Melody Butts Medley/ Remix Listen To The Music Can’t Outrun You Brothers In Arms Stargazer Trilogy( All Originals written by Austin) Give Me A Sign ( Chapter 1) Stargazer Lilies( Chapter 2) MR ( mister) (Chapter 3) Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft new video game Skull And Bones) Might As Well Be Me ( Original) Playing With Fire ( Original) Remember My Name (Original) Oh Pretty Woman Life Is A Highway Stand By Me Cruise I Want Crazy Colder Weather Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 200+ catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is Sorry for the long read 🍟😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to educate me about them. I have much to learn, but excited to continue this journey. Grateful for the support. I noted down your suggestions and i will get to some of them this week.
This was done during quarantine and they did a marvelous job. They do covers, or as I like to say, upgrades. They also do their own original songs. Welcome to the rabbit hole of Home Free.
Home Free is truly incredible. They are 5 men, each with their own specialty, but oh so great voices. They look at which song suits whom. Even the Beatboxer Adam Rupp has a great voice, although he doesn't sing much. He started the group with his brother Chris Rupp in 2000. Chris Rupp left the group in 2016 for other projects including a solo project. Adam is the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist. What he can do vocally is simply not human, he really is that great. Home Free also has the best harmonies in my opinion. They are officially a country A cappella group but they can really do all genres. Covers and originals. Besides that, they also have great personalities, a real brotherhood, no egos, no rivalry and a lot of humor. Here it is Austin Brown who has the lead. He is the high tenor with great runs and a lot of power. Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say it was better. But this one from Home Free certainly is. The number one A cappella group for me.. I'm a real Home Fry from the Netherlands. Suggestion: "Man Of Constant Sorrow" "Ring Of Fire " "End Of The Road " "Listen To The Music " Etc etc😊
Hey, hier van België :). But i will continue in English. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Its such a great story of talented people coming together. I just recorded a reaction to Skull and Bones and End of the Road and it was amazing. I am in the process of editing and uploading the Skull and Bones video as we speak. Have great day!
😅okay, didn't know you were from Belgium. Coincidentally came across this while scrolling through the Home Free reaction. Home Free has had originals on every one of their albums except Lockdown and their more recent As Se on TV. They did LOTS of covers in the beginning, but have moved more toward originals. They don't actually do "covers" they do "upgrades".

The beatboxer Adam Rupp And the beatboxer from voiceplay Layne stein and the beatboxer from Pentatonix Kevin olusola are all masters of their craft. There is a video called Adam rupp drum solo Showcases his beatboxing abilities. Plays the cello. So in some songs you will see him playing the cello.. Watch carefully he is also beatboxing while playing the cello.. He calls this cello boxing. If you want to see his If you want to see his mastery work React to Kevin's 5th
TOO MANY STOPS FOR CHATTER....... the song is outrageous in it's RANGE, STRONG BACKGROUND and Killer High Tenor delivery of the lead by AUSTIN BROWN ..... to break in constantly is unwelcome to say the least. jj

Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) Very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota
Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas
Austin Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair )Voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia.
Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass Deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016)
They have collaborated with many singers and legends
Don McLean:American Pie
Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira
Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message)
Billy Gilman:One Voice
Alabama:Christmas In Dixie
Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end )

They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is
Sorry for the long read 🍟😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to educate me about them. I have much to learn, but excited to continue this journey. Grateful for the support. I noted down your suggestions and i will get to some of them this week.

This was done during quarantine and they did a marvelous job. They do covers, or as I like to say, upgrades. They also do their own original songs. Welcome to the rabbit hole of Home Free.
This was so good. Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I have some more reactions on the channel today and more coming tomorrow.
My favorite song since many decades , sung by Percy sledge , but now I prefer their cover , greetings from Germany
Beautiful song and amazing rendition. Thanks for watching. Greetings from Belgium.
Suggestion:
"Man Of Constant Sorrow"
"Ring Of Fire "
"End Of The Road "
"Listen To The Music "
Etc etc😊
Hey, hier van België :). But i will continue in English. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Its such a great story of talented people coming together. I just recorded a reaction to Skull and Bones and End of the Road and it was amazing. I am in the process of editing and uploading the Skull and Bones video as we speak. Have great day!
😅okay, didn't know you were from Belgium. Coincidentally came across this while scrolling through the Home Free reaction. Although it might be better for me in Dutch, for the others we continue in English. I will definitely look at your other responses (from Home Free). Home Free (and Avi Kaplan, through whom I actually discovered Home Free in 2019) helped me through difficult times. Follow them and you definitely wouldn't be disappointed.
@@JoanN63 I totally understand the sentiment of music being there when times are tough. I was there a few years ago myself. Much love and respect! More Home Free reactions on the way :)
@@SaeedReacts. I'll follow you 😉
@@JoanN63 Thank you so much!
Looking forward to more Home Free please. They have so much talent, they will blow you away. I’m know you enjoyed their performance, but I know it can be even better with headphones. By the way your English is very good.
Thank you for the kind words. In the new video's i have headphones and yes it's a world of difference. More Home Free coming today.
Home Free has had originals on every one of their albums except Lockdown and their more recent As Se on TV. They did LOTS of covers in the beginning, but have moved more toward originals. They don't actually do "covers" they do "upgrades".
Thank you for taking the time. I am learning a lot. Will explore more of their upgrades and originals!
💙💙💙
Thanks for watching!
More #Homefree please 😃 Subbed.
Thank you! More Home Free coming very soon!
Just subbed for more Home Free. I'm sure you've received tons of requests...well, here's a few more. These are all fairly recent: Listen To the Music; Stand By Me; Delta Dawn; and one of their numerous originals, Playing With Fire. Enjoy this incredible rabbit hole...you won't regret a single moment, you'll only regret not finding them earlier.
Thank you so much and there is definitely more Home Free coming. Stand By me and Delta were not on my list yet, so i have added them. Excited to continue this journey.
Just found your channel. If you continue to react to Home Free, their fans are going to flood your channel. They are a great group but please don't limit yourself. Really enjoying your reaction.
Thanks so much for watching! I am loving Home Free and i am also interested in many more artists in different genres. Its an exciting journey. Thanks for being here.
Check out Adam Rupp's drum solo. Adam is an international award winning Beatboxer.

That ending was amazing. Magic! Thanks for watching.
If you are going to do Home Free reactions it would really help if you wore some good over the ear headphones or you will miss a lot.
Thank you for the tip. I am going to take that to heart.
I'll add to the people recommending headphones for Home Free reactions! It makes a big difference :)
@@errolowl1 You were all correct 😅. I borrowed a pair from my wife, but i will invest in a good pair of my own.
Was singing to his fiance who was in the studio by the Camara. Noe his wife.
Austin's voice blazed in this song. He took the song to a whole new level compared to Percy Sledge. Great reaction
Potter Payper- grimeblog archives! You need to hear some of potters music on the come up
Thanks for the suggestion! I will check it out. Later this week i have some songs of his first Training Day album coming.
Adam Rupp "Drum Solo". The one in the red shirt...
Thank you, will check it out.
TOO MANY STOPS FOR CHATTER....... the song is outrageous in it's RANGE, STRONG BACKGROUND and Killer High Tenor delivery of the lead by AUSTIN BROWN ..... to break in constantly is unwelcome to say the least. jj
I understand my style is not for everyone. Some people like it, some don't which is perfectly fine. Its impossible to please everyone. Believe me, i tried enough in my life. Here i go chatting to much again. Have a wonderful day, sir.
Listen to Everybody Walking this Land by Home Free. It’s exactly what you are talking about. Cara Nunez
Now im curious 😀. I will check it out. Thank you.
