I love this. I think it's one of the best things they've done. Vaulted up to number 2 on my all-time favorites list. Love those bell tones behind Rob.
I've always loved Ben E. King's iconic original - I think he'd have approved of Home Free's rendition. As always, the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific. In their series "From the Vault" (the behind the scenes filming of their videos), you get to see the camera, etc. I often think that the people actually doing the filming must feel like they're herding stray cats. Thanks for playing this & your insights.
Thanks for the reaction & analysis! Love this great classic song from Ben E. King back in 1961. The Home Free guys did an awesome version as always. Love their arrangement on this cover. Great vocal leads by Austin & Rob. Tim's bass really stands out for me in this one. And Adam's tasteful vocal percussion is on point.
One of the songs I have been listening to for as long as I can remember. First the LP, later I always had it on one of my cassette tapes, then I got the CD and in recent years I usually have it on one of my playlists. Although many versions had been released in the meantime, it was usually the version by Ben E. King or Otis Redding. But from now on it is the version of Home Free that is on my playlist and no other. Alternating the lead between Austin's powerful voice and Rob's silky soulful voice just sounds so beautiful and fantastic. Then the unparalleled vocal percussion, truly phenomenal. The incredible bass and beautiful background vocals/harmony are the finishing touch.❤

Very nice reaction! This is my favorite of the remakes HF has done for the 10th anniversary album "As Seen on TV". Ben E. King's classic has never been more perfectly arranged, and here translated into voice-only mastery. The slow section with the call and response is simply beautiful -- with Adam's 5th notes thrown in for some juicy harmony. Thanks for an engaging commentary!
This is one of my all time favorite songs and Home Free covered it magnificently! It went directly into my top favorites of Home Frees' catalog. It's so beautiful it gives me that feeling where the hair stands up on the back of your head and chills run down your spine. I find myself listening to it over and over again. I always look forward to your reactions because you are so joyful in your reactions and so knowledgeable and interesting.

If you like one-shot stuff, check out Home Free's version of One-Man Band, a cover of an Old Dominion song....whole video is one shot and it has some incredible harmonies once again.. Darren Rust does most of their arrangements, but once in a while several of the band members have arranged their video. That ending with all the riffs, is so so so very satisfying to the ear.

Would you please do a reaction video to Geoff's newest solo cover of You Don't Mess Around With Jim & his solo cover of Big Iron. Geoff added several bridges to Big Iron & it is amazing.
