The applications for assistance takes time of course. This has nothing to do with foreign aid. This comes under Homeland Security, and the State of North Carolina. The governor is working hard to get housing for people. These "homes" don't just appear overnight. No one prepares for so many people to be in this situation.
Samaritans Purse is as missing as FEMA is in Helping people in this area. If you know them so good please give them a call and see if they will help this family. They have PAID employees and high over cost so not sure how much goes to help the people in need.

Many had no insurance, real steady dependable jobs, savings, strong enough homes, for this horrific flooding! No valleys in those mountains, rivers were born that were never there! I was on the coast, 8 miles NEast of both Irma and Maria. We have a beautiful home. 103 days sleeping on the roof top. We also went hungry and thirsty! And, we had money, careers, insurance and protection! Yes Natural Disasters are a huge life lesson!
So thankful for all the people who are helping out these displaced families. Churches across the US should be reaching out to help. If each church sponsored a family they would all be taken care of.
My church sent 7000 and it's a small church. I donated every week on payday but my little bit of donation just isn't enough and most weeks I'm torn as to who needs it most. The gov needs to do more..big corps need to do more. Coca Cola, Kelloggs, Nestle, Hershey, NFL players/teams, celebrities...yet it's the working poor trying to help
When I meet home schooled children out here in Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, they are the best well mannered and best educated children you could ever meet. Those parents out by you are just the same. They got so much education experienced and history that no body else ever did. They are good parents. Good for them. Prayers and good karma sent to them.

Me too. Our mortgage goes up in December and I lost a grant that paid for my Medicare. But this family made me both sad and mad. Homeschooling has never been the back bone of the USA! The back bone was the RR, built by Native, African and Chinese slaves. Their life style is a personal choice, hence the issues, workout isolating our selves from the reality that simply IS! After the “Camp Fire” in California, many people lost everything, and could not get help. They lived in a tent. Many people lived like that! But when I was a child, my dad worked cutting trees. Where they cut there were no houses. We lived in a 12 x 12 tent for 9 months. Was wonderful for me (5) and my brother (3)! It’s could be much worse, but we’re all the damage and how much work has already been done! Stay strong, it does get easier with time. Proud to see all the people helping!

When we lost our house and most of what we owned to hurricane Ian 2 years ago I was devastated, overwhelmed, stressed to the hilt and felt completely lost and did not know what direction to turn. But through the grace of god we had family, friends, and people we did not know or had ever met help us to get back on our feet again. Its a VERY HORRIBLE feeling! My heart goes out to this family and what they are going through. I can see the father is trying to hold it together. You will rebuild & you will move on and the road is going to be hard but you will get through this and your family will be stronger.
The children will get through this just fine as long as they stay with momma @ poppa. Dad used to say 'we were poor but we did not know it." My family will help this family until they get back to normal.

My heart goes out to this family but the Dad especially breaks my heart. He wasn't making eye contact with anyone and is clearly struggling with his emotions. It is very evident that he takes good care of his family and always has. Sir, there is no shame in your game. You need a hand up to get back up on your feet. This terrible event happened to you and your family. None of it is due to your actions and it is clear that you love your family and are doing everything you can for them. Consider the assistance that you receive as a stepping stone to the future where you get your lives stabilized again and then maybe pay it forward to someone else someday. There are so many people praying for your and your family. You WILL get through this.

The applications for assistance takes time of course. This has nothing to do with foreign aid. This comes under Homeland Security, and the State of North Carolina. The governor is working hard to get housing for people. These "homes" don't just appear overnight. No one prepares for so many people to be in this situation.

I was on the coast, 8 miles NEast of both Irma and Maria. We have a beautiful home. 103 days sleeping on the roof top. We also went hungry and thirsty! And, we had money, careers, insurance and protection!

My church sent 7000 and it's a small church. I donated every week on payday but my little bit of donation just isn't enough and most weeks I'm torn as to who needs it most. The gov needs to do more..big corps need to do more. Coca Cola, Kelloggs, Nestle, Hershey, NFL players/teams, celebrities...yet it's the working poor trying to help

When I meet home schooled children out here in Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, they are the best well mannered and best educated children you could ever meet. Those parents out by you are just the same. They got so much education experienced and history that no body else ever did. They are good parents. Good for them. Prayers and good karma sent to them.
My grandchildren were homeschool in stumps still are and they are high scholastically and very well-mannered

My heart breaks for them, they are a proud people and this country needs to step up and help all in need. NC going for around 15k per acre with road frontage, if no one gives acreage maybe their go fund me can help them find a piece of land led by the hand of God. I think we all feel that way.
After the “Camp Fire” in California, many people lost everything, and could not get help. They lived in a tent. Many people lived like that! But when I was a child, my dad worked cutting trees. Where they cut there were no houses. We lived in a 12 x 12 tent for 9 months. Was wonderful for me (5) and my brother (3)! It’s could be much worse, but we’re all the damage and how much work has already been done! Stay strong, it does get easier with time. Proud to see all the people helping!

I wished I had $...but I'm in NE Tennessee....I'm disabled but I'm one of the lucky ones....the water (Doe River) didn't make it to my house...almost but my house got beat down by the storm....haven't seen any FEMA/ government people since it happened...for help...if it wasn't for my neighbors and the local bringing me some food....I don't know what I would have done the first few weeks!! ...I don't wanna see another can of Beanie Weenies 😂😂 but I'm very thankful for them!!!

When we lost our house and most of what we owned to hurricane Ian 2 years ago I was devastated, overwhelmed, stressed to the hilt and felt completely lost and did not know what direction to turn. But through the grace of god we had family, friends, and people we did not know or had ever met help us to get back on our feet again. Its a VERY HORRIBLE feeling! My heart goes out to this family and what they are going through. I can see the father is trying to hold it together. You will rebuild & you will move on and the road is going to be hard but you will get through this and your family will be stronger.
The children will get through this just fine as long as they stay with momma @ poppa. Dad used to say 'we were poor but we did not know it." My family will help this family until they get back to normal.
How thankful that little girl is during such a hard time. I think she will go far in life!
