Asking for a custom burger at Burger King makes no difference in the freshness. They pre make the patties and keep them in a heating tray. They do not make the entire burger then set it aside so asking for no ketchup will not make your burger any fresher.

Of course it makes a difference. They have burgers made up with all the condiments sitting there waiting to be ordered (especially on Whopper Wednesday). So to insure you don't get a "soggy I've been waiting to be ordered burger" you just simply have it made your way, that way it's freshER...everyone knows fast food patties are in a heat tray to start with, hence it being fast food, this way it stays in a heat tray ti'll your ready.
They keep buns with meat on them in a steamer. The one premade was cooked at the same time it just doesn’t get soggy from sitting in the steamer. They suck either way. Ask them to cook one fresh, “they have to do it for ya” I worked there. I know. Hardees is better.

I've worked fast food most of my working life, and yeah, some customers are real jerks. I always order special. But I'm polite about it, and I don't get bent if it ain't right. Just take it back, get it corrected, amd ask for fresh fries, please. If you want fresh, FRESH fries, ask for no salt fries, and add your own salt. That's not as diva as it sounds because salt builds up in the fry bin and can make the fries way too salty to eat. The biggest thimg is, be polite. Manners are free, use them!✌♥️😸

So this is why you should never listen to any of these videos. I worked at Burger King and the hamburger patties all sit in a warming tray. Same with McDonald's. They are ALWAYS assembled when you order them, whether you order them special or different or not. And if they were made fresh, then you would need to wait 10 minutes, at least, for your food, while they cooked the patties on both sides. Most people get crabby after only a minute or two of waiting.

I got so distracted by it, that I missed the next minute and a half of the video and had to rewind. Awesome bong.
My first job was at a Burger King down the road, for 3 years - even made management before i left, and let me tell you we have never made the burger patty fresh just because they asked for something to not be on it. That's two separate processes. It's the same patty, we just didn't put w.e you didn't want on it. Now, if you asked for a fresh patty then, at my store at least, we had no issue making it fresh. Our patties only stayed in the PHU for about 20 minutes before we switched them out anyways, so we were always cooking fresh ones because of how busy we were.

The Filet o Fish bun is the same bun used on all of their regular meat sandwiches i.e. Cheeseburger, double cheese burger etc. The only difference is that it's steamed. Ask them for a steamed bun. Don't ask for a filet o fish bun. You'll sound stupid. :)

All of Burger Kings burgers are made to order. The burger patties could sit as long as 30 minutes in the product holding cabinet. (Unless a manager walks by and notices the timer light flashing. They are worried about food cost so more than likely they will press the button twice to cancel the expired light and reset it. This way there is no limit to how long the burger patty has been setting.)
If you want to be sure of a fresh sandwich, for burgers and grilled chicken tell them fresh off the broiler. For fried sandwiches, nuggets and chicken fries, tell them fresh out of the fryer. For fresh fries, order them no salt.
I was a manager for BK too many years and I've seen managers at other stores keep old food forever.
I used to work at McDonalds many years back and I completely agree with your statement. However, at McDonalds they season their meat. If you ask for no seasoning they literally have to cook you a fresh patty. Beyond that though like you said special orders don't make a difference at either fast food joint. I don't know how burger king does theres; But that's how McDonalds rolls. Cheers :)

The chicken mcnugget one is very wrong. 4 pc Chicken mcnugget is $1.99, a 20 pc is $5. Whatever you are saving on the sauce won't make up that price per nugget difference. You are paying twice as much per nugget with the 4 pc.
