As a strand titan main this was my favorite to see in the new weapons. Thr call is obv great too but I love heavy machine guns. Brings out the marine in me.
Reconstruction is a godsend for me. I hate reloading MGs. Paired woth bait and switch has been amazing.

I main Strand and I've been waiting and waiting for a crafted Strand version of the Machine Gun 'Commemoration'. The wait is over this thing is an absolute beast. Not to mention the artifact perk 'Winning Hand' makes Pro Memoria and that beast of a sidearm 'The Call' practically shoot nuclear strand bombs.

My first one I got to drop had this exact roll, I picked appended mag first but eventually went to armor piercing, but I masterwork it as soon as I saw the perks, don't regret it at all

I always run reconstruction / target lock ; it's just so thoughtless and easy and still rips ha - also, bait and switch you get 30% dmg buff immediately where as target lock you get 45% but takes time to ramp up, however, you have a massive magazine, so you're gonna fire at 45% for a while regardless.
I get your thinking but feel like target lock pigeon holes you to only use the weapon on beefy enemies. I like the versatility of a damage perk you can use on all enemies.
@@CammiepooGaming That totally makes sense! Depends on build and play style for sure. In my build I do not use my heavy for ads; my energy and primary more than wipe the floor.

@@CammiepooGaming as someone who has been a big fan of machine guns since destiny 1’s alpha i am rather happy that salvations edge had all machine guns for the heavy slot with cayde’s retribution for damage.
Target lock got nerfed on smg's only unless there was another nerf afterwards.

Do you think that something like hatchling + dragonfly for aoe would be decent? It kind of gives it its own niche, but the lack of damage perk hurts.
I think hatchling can be fun for lower difficulty activities but for legendary or higher stuff I don’t think it’s worth it. I’d rather have the damage perk
Do you have any recommendations for an alternate perk other than bait and switch because I tried it out and I’m not quite feeling it.
Frenzy is decent cause you almost always get the buff or Desperate Measures for a melee build or Target Lock for just a pure boss damage option.

commemoration dethroned or not?
Commemoration is still king. Especially with the artifact perk "Expanding Abys." However, the thing that I like about Pro M is that I can run The Call in my kinetic slot and run Strand Surge mods in my legs to boost both weapons.

Brotha, in Destiny the slower the RPM the harder the weapons hit.

down to preference 600 rpm is my sweet spot for LMGs … although LMGs I usually use for add clear. Adagio comes clutch for higher RPM guns. I just love the stability.
