Great channel! Question I have a 2016 WRX with stage 2+ for mods. What would be a safe RPM lol...I am terrified to do this but this just sounds like so much fun!
I used flatfoot many times but multiple times my accessport went to default so it set the rpm to 8k. Spun a bearing last weekend lol. I keep it at 6.5k so from now on I’m gonna always check the settings before I send it. Idk if 6.5k is the correct setting like you mentioned peak torque is where you should set it and shift at?
how do you know how much rpm you should set up for flat foot shifting? I only have a cobb sf intake and access port but I don't know how much my peak torque is. Can you help me? Thanks alot!
Still some wind noise but definitely can hear your voice and other sounds much better. On hour three of my B.B. marathon tonight! Lol. Wifey is a total bad@ss! Ordering a sweatshirt from your site Monday to help support what you do. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the video I always wanted to see an instructional video on the flat foot shifting! And do you know if you could get a cobb pro tuner such as steve to put 2-step onto a car with the access-port?? I know they have launch control which is kind of the same thing but it doesn't pop and bang like i'd like it too lol
Never dawned on me 🤔 to consider flat foot shifting. That being said it is cool 👌 how the tech from Accessport can make it possible to shave tenths of seconds off manual shifts if that what floats your boat.
im going to ask the sacrilegious question cause im curious and havent seen anything about it on forums but, has anyone done engine swaps in these newer wrx models to other engines like an ls or some other engine?
Devon Sahadeo he means slip the clutch just a tad before dropping it to put load on the whole driveline. If you straight up drop the clutch then it sends a massive jolt to the transmission/driveline which will breaks things
The wind noise is definitely more tolerable!! But I’ve really enjoyed FFS since I got the AP. On the STi, being stock clutch with the stage 1+ what’s a good rpm to launch? I’ve done it at 5200 and 5500. Of course stank clutch like hell lol. I’ve only launched it like 3-5 times. Will that smell simmer after more launches??
It will depend on the surface you're launching on tbh, clutch smell is normal for about first 5-10 launches on a exedy stage 1 clutch. Your main goal is to leave with enough rpm to barely spin tires
_BaderBuilt well I’d say dry surface concrete would b the main surface I’d launch on. Would 5500 be a good rpm to launch with on that? Being stock clutch that is. I think I definitely need to let out a lil quicker l. The last launch I did, I seemed as if it was sleeping once full throttle but thinking it’s because I let it out to slow.
@@BaderBuiltRacing Thanks. My wrx (aus) running on exutek. Going for another upgrade where I will enable flatfoot shift, 2nd gear rev limiter n lauch control. Are u running on COBB? Launch control works as ani lag system n builds boost. All you have to do is turn traction off, slip the clutch? No need to manually blip the throttle while slipping the clutch to build boost for take off?
@@BaderBuiltRacing You should make a video covering what happened there.. actually devins video is how I found out about this channel so it'd be interesting to get a little more background.
I actually dont even use flatfoot feature when i do flatfoot. You can flatfoot shift any and every car. Now with it holding rpms, you are correct about it not being able to all any and all cars.
@@BaderBuiltRacing I’ve had my 2017 limited for three months, always running pump gas even running 87. No issues no knocks nothing negative. So Subaru made cars that only “run” on e85 or race gasses? Again not arguing only sharing.
She didn't learn it bro, she dang well smashed and did it. Well done to her bug time. Nice to see a lady shifting with purpose..... Reminds me of my wife... She just does it all
So I wonder how could you help me with launch and flatfoot because we don't have such a tuner here and also it's too expensive. Maybe you can send to me strings of code to configure it
Not sure how much the wind is going but managed to hear you way better than before.
The new mic has definitely made a noticeable improvement. Can hear a bit of the wind, but we can actually hear you now haha
Thats good! Just less zoom lol
New mic is a massive improvement.
I'm so glad I found this channel. Seems like a cool guy.
Win for the wind mic. Night and day bro
Screw buying items to stop the noise, We need to stop the wind, stand together! this....wind...will...end. Awesome Informational video Sir! :)
Hahahahaha
Amazing content. Keep it coming and thanks for always trying to mix it up - todays video was really helpful.
Happy to help!
Should you start at a lower rpm when learning? Does it make a difference if you are learning on a 500+whp car?
Ahh flat foot shifting. I remember how good it felt till I missed 4th and put it into 2nd and bent valves
I honestly don’t know how that happens. I used to do that when I first started driving stick but it’s non existent anymore
Hahahaha, shifting gone wrong.
Ayo B it happened because I was driving my e36 with worn out trans and engine mounts and a worn out shift linkage unfortunately....
Omg no way!!!😮
Gotta love sending guys to the dealership....for repairs where they will hence, find through diagnostics that the car was banging gears.

He kept it at 5.6 brooo
When I did this my car overboost and cracked a piston #4. Why are you saying it fine to do it I’m now forged piston should I do it?
3:30 you made that look so easy. Is this safe on a wrx trans too? As long as you’re gentle on the shift change and not banging gears? 😂
Took me a bit of getting use to in my STi after having autos for a few years.
I have an 18 wrx with an accessport. Is this ok on stock trans?
Does it only work at what u set it to or does it work at anything above the rpm u set it to?
Will it be safe to flat foot shift a wrx that has intake and the cobb accessport without messing up the transmission?? and can u launch it??
how do you know how much rpm you should set up for flat foot shifting? I only have a cobb sf intake and access port but I don't know how much my peak torque is. Can you help me? Thanks alot!
Question, can you mess up the synchros by doing this??
Good job. Wow I'm going to try that in Ocean Blue. Good video. Stay safe 🙏.
Off to Mexico!! You must be super tired from that long road trip!!
One question when flat foot shifting is the accelerator pedal hard to the floor.
What do you normally set the flatfoot to when racing ? After you’ve got everything down ?
depends on your setup but most stock- 400hp range is 5.5-6.5

Is flat foot shift harsh on clutch since your not letting go of gas
Great videos as always and nice choice of intro music

They will do whatever you want them to do, but they will strongly advise against it because 2 step will break shit
What entertainment head unit system do you have installed?
Great video! But I am curious what will happen if shifted above the RPM ,that you set for the flatfoot shift.

What are your thoughts on a sequential transmission?
still wondering what that headunit is, idoing or secane
Is that q16 better than e85??
Is flat foot shifting gonna damage the clutch or no ?
I tried to do it and got the check engine light on for overboost why I’m stage 3 with fp green 93 370whp.
is setting up flatfoot on 6500 rpm good for stock sti?
Traction control... Whats that? Haha really digging your UA-cam channel
You’re a great teacher
how would flat foot shifting hold up on a stock 15+ Sti clutch?
Holds up great 👍
im going to ask the sacrilegious question cause im curious and havent seen anything about it on forums but, has anyone done engine swaps in these newer wrx models to other engines like an ls or some other engine?
Does it hard to be full gas or no?
This is only possible with an Accessport right?
Hey what do you mean by you wanna walk the car out and not side step the clutch? Thx

New mic sounded good! Slight wind noise but not bad at all.
Thank you for input!
Completely off topic and this is late but does anyone know what head unit that is?
keep up the great content,! you deserve 100k subs

could you tell me what front splitter you have?
With your tune do you have the traditional rev hang?
Sti don't have it
Hope you reply. might be a dumb question but when flat foot shifting from 2-3 could you accidentally go into first?
Yes you can 121 or 232 shift.

Is it bad to flat foot shift in an sti? And can I set my flat foot shit on my accessport if I already have a pro tune?
What was the flat foot shifting set at on the Accessport? Cool channel by the way!!
5700 i think he said

Can you regular shift and no lift shit without having to set it up on and off
Can you do this with stock or is this a COBB feature?
stock doesn't have lunch control so i think its the cobb tune
FAs detonate? Never had a detonation issue no matter the octane or modification. Not hating just very surprised.
FA engines do not like pump gas, they will detonate / show feed back knock very easily if not tuned correctly or low
