man I needed this video two years ago, I admit I made ALL those mistakes, bought thousand of dollars worth of tools before I could fix a dent properly. Took all sorts of online training courses including Dent Trainer where I learned the most and watched hundreds of videos and practiced on old hoods and even my own cars. Come to find out its 1000 times harder to learn PDR than I thought. I would say its difficult enough that 8 out of 10 people will give up within a few weeks. I didn't give up, I kept practicing until I learned enough to work on other peoples cars. One of the reasons I did not give up was cause I spent so much money on tools, there was no backing out. Thank You for educating the people out there so they will not make the same mistake I made.
Thanks for this! I do collision repair, but I want to dabble with PDR to try and maximize my productivity. It’s also a great place to practice because I can fix my PDR screw ups!
Dyslexic...here for you Myke...on a serious note my Mom got a door ding on her Buick between the handle and the edge of the drivers door. She hasn't noticed yet, but I bought a Mini lifter and a tap down, used a crease tab and glassed it...all from watching: you, Chris, and a few others! Thank you and the others for the great content! To be honest I got very lucky, control pulled twice and the third time pulled hard with some grey tab weld. Only had to tap down a bit of the center of the now slightly high crease and a bit on a small crown. It was pretty shallow even compared to some of your day one dent video dents...but either way I have the itch now to continue my pursuit! Thank you again for the taste of knowing what can be done...
I'm going to approach learning PDR with my own car. Got an MR2 turbo that's got millions of dings and dents. Going to identify which dents I wants to tackle then get the right tool for it. Hope to hone my skill as I go.
Thanks for making the video, I'm looking to add this type of service to my business. Trying to learn all I can before I make any purchases like you stated in the video.
Hi, Mike, I'm from China and I really want to buy some very practical dent repair tools. I've been following your work for a long time. You are a very great dent repair master.
Thanks for the comment. However that length will be too long. I recommend a tool length that can be versatile for door access and fenders. You can always purchase an extension as well but the whole point is to have a tool right in the middle. Using too long of tools will limit your access points and become unusable for half the panels. Thanks again
Do you have any videos on fixing the roof portion that’s above the windshield/connecting the A-pillars on a soft top convertible? Not sure what to call this portion on a convertible that the soft top roof attaches to, but am trying to find information on fixing some hail dents in the limited work space.
What percentage of dent can I fix with the tools you recommend would you say I could do 80 percent of the work with them or less I own a used car lot need to do some repairs on my own vehicles what to do some of the easy stuff on my own and get a professional for the more difficult stuff
You saved me a lot of money. I'm that guy who totally gets into their newest hobby and buys all the expensive shit. Only to burn myself out. It's fun, I learn ALOT, but have I have these tools and no place to keep them. I pay so much in storage fees, I could buy a property. Maybe. Tools and women. I spend my money on the two.
I do not want to pdr for a living but i just want to fix my own car. All These tools can get very expensive. Please recommend some tools for diy'ers that have little budget. Like $150 budget. Preferably something i can find off amazon. Thank you so much for all your videos.
Hi thanks for watching. Unfortunately PDR isn’t easy to learn. Before you buy tools you should consider denttrainer.com first. Second it is cheaper for you to hire a professional than do it yourself. Unless you don’t care about the results, quality or just being frustrated. You won’t be able to find good tools for a $150 budget. That’s just not reality. Now you can find eBay tools but they are going to give you opposite results and frustrate you at the very least. They will either break or have too much flex. You need to watch good structured videos on. Denttrainer.com as I mentioned many times. So many DIYers want to buy tools before they know how to use them she just waste time and emotion. Save yourself at least some of the heartache and listen to my advice. Thank you.
I have 2005 BMW 545i my wife backed into a slanted tree and put a huge dent on the very corner right side of the trunk. How can I sent you pics for advice.
Hi Myke, greetings from Mexico City, I've been following you for a while! Thank you for the recommendations. I want to train online, can you provide me with your link. I want to buy the 3 tools that you recommend here but from Anson, what sizes are appropriate? I want to use tactical handles, which one would be the right one to start with? Thanks again
Yes this is Robert Rienbolt I'm not sure if you still have what I sent before but I would like to know if you could shoot me another text so I can send 5he pics of the Dents I want you to look at so I might be able to get some kind of a quote you already sent a text with what I needed to do about taking the photos and text and send them to you but my grandson erased all my messages so I'm really sorry about this but I really want a quote on around about figure so I would really appreciate it again if you can send me the information I need to get this text and photos to you again sorry for the confusion and you having to send it again thank you for your time and help.Nightwolf....
it is ok for explanation. but most of us need straight forward tips on how to use the tools as DIY and not to listen to talk too much. just want to know how straight forward. no tips that make us feel tipsy. just tell how you use the tools. it is boring otherwise cause need to fast forward in what you try to already explained. hmmm, I wait to long. I think I gonna fast forward in what you try to share here. it feels boring though cause you not try to teach us, you are selling the tools.

For the soft tip tool, wouldn't it be better to get a 36 inch rather than a 24 inch to reach more areas? Awesome video. Thanks.

How about a quick list from you in the description of the must have tools, a light recommendation and anything else needed for the first job?

Good morning Mike. I was wondering which tools do you recommend for the top rail passenger side door?? Thank you in advance....Gerald
I recommend a slide hammer, variety of glue tabs like keco, dent reaper, black plague and tequila tabs along with some hawg glue.

Hi am in Kenya 🇰🇪 and we don’t have those tools here and I would like to have those tools and learn how to use them as a side hustle
Nice video Mike
Thank you!
I'm interested in starting, what lengths for the last 2 tools? 24 inch?
Do these tools all use the same interchangeable handle? Is itna ratchet?
Depends what brand but each company has their own removable handle or a fixed handle.
Great video!
Hi Myke, greetings from Korea ulsan city. Thanks great video, great tools and wish to buy everything rods tool ~~~
Thanks for watching! I want to visit Korea some day! Love the food! 👍
Do the same tips that fit the knockdown fit in that double bend adjustable rod?
They do!
I'm torn between ordering 😫 the 24 or 30 inch double bend from Anson. I'm thinking more for door use. What do you think 🤔?
Get the 24 because it’s perfect for door use and fenders. Not too long.

I got a question mike. What are those red snap rails organizing your rods in your box?
Those are called loop holders for screw drivers and other tools. From Snap On
