    This Sith's beginnings are actually kinda sad. What I really don't like about the Jedi is that they "create" as many Sith lords as they cut down, including Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun, Darth Traya, Ajunta Pall, Darth Revan, Skere Kaan, and many more.

    • @aamirrazak3467
      @aamirrazak3467 Рік тому +7

      Yes that’s true the Jedi often create their own enemies, the Sith, by being harsh to their students, not understanding their difficulties and lying to them or withholding information from them.

    • @sivanlevi3867
      @sivanlevi3867 Рік тому +7

      Don't forget their own ignorance to emotions and a way too rigid training regime. Everything you and I just said also played a part in destroying the Jedi as Anakin Skywalker was also a victim of the system. Granted, he was manipulated by Palpatine and was older than most Jedi would've been before joining the order, but not being able to prevent the death of his mother and his all-too human desires led him to become disillusioned to the point of betrayal.

    • @aamirrazak3467
      @aamirrazak3467 Рік тому +2

      @@sivanlevi3867 yes the Jedi were quick to give up on their students and not work with them through their issues and be receptive to their concerns. And they wonder why many Jedi fell to the dark side and became Sith. The Sith wouldn’t even exist if the Jedi hadn’t been so dogmatic and unwilling to compromise

    • @sivanlevi3867
      @sivanlevi3867 Рік тому +2

      It's also sad that, in Legends, the Jedi were once a more balanced order with Light and Dark side users, then an invasion and a major philosophical crisis caused many to stop believing in balance, which was only attained again by Anakin Skywalker as Vader.

      @aamirrazak3467 Рік тому +1

      @@sivanlevi3867 yeah I really liked the je’daii and their concept of balance in the force and within themselves. It’s a real shame they split and broke apart

    I don’t think Nadd gets the respect he deserves, he’s really the one responsible for the Exar Kun saga which is by FAR one of the most interesting & awesome storylines in all of Star Wars lore.
    Bane, Sidious etc admired him.
    I would love for them to make a new story about Nadd when he was in his prime as a living being.

    Nadd would have been really great if he didn't act like a foolish kid.
    I find it strange all these comments about how the old Jedi screwed up, hey guys, Sith are cool but they are the ones who end up losing in the end, and most of the time for some dumb decision.
    Anyway, great video.

    • @christophmahler

      "(...) act like a foolish kid."
      Look into the case of a little girl, raised by wolves... and how furious she was when deliberately locked into a closet as a punishment for a mistake she was known, she didn't make - to prove that she had developed _a concept of justice_ ...
      It is terrible writing if the story doesn't include how lessons of failure - and how to cope with it - were given beforehand - in order to prepare for a test of character.
      Without preparation, of course any major _outrageous_ treatment would have been regarded as unjust and abusive - what teacher beats a child or adolescent just in order to see if they'll submit to abuse ?...
      Breaking one's will to resist is black pedagogy.

    For those who sympathize with Nadd, read
    TV TROPES
    Comic Books » Tales of the Jedi
    For less... lenient description of him and other Sith Lords, like Exar Kun.
