Okay I watch the video again I’m sorry I thought you said contact paper. Transfer Tape gotcha brother Dan. Sorry for over and over again questions. Which one is better transfer paper or Frisket. Because if transfer paper is better I will buy me plenty rolls of that but I do have a 12 x 150’ roll Frisket. The true question is can you use Frisket and will it have any kind of affect on your airbrushing. With the glue as far as when you put it on the canvas or the metal whichever etc.

I think the frisket is fine. Get 1 roll of transfer tape, I have links at the bottom of the video. Try both of them and see what your preference is. I'm sure ther are frisket users out there that think I'm crazy for using transfer tape. It will come down to what you prefer. I can say that I haven't seen any professionals that do car or bike work use frisket. They use transfer tape. Also if you need to transfer a vinyl decal for a mask, like in my video on Lacing you need transfer tape, frisket will not work. Hope this helps.

A lot of people forget when doing torn metal is…that the inside of the metal is not painted it’s just got a primer for rust, so this blue grey method follows that colouring

Good morning brother Dan, beautiful airbrushing brother. One question I noticed some guys use Masking. They remove and paint like paint by numbers right okay. When do masking and when do you free hand. I was thinking when you get good enough to free hand right!!!🎣🎣🎣

Michael, most Techniques require some sort of mask or stencil/template. There is still freehand involved. I was listening to a podcast cast with Dru Blair and he was asked a similar question and his answer was...he uses whatever tools or masks he needs to to achieve the effect he is looking for. And Dru is probably the best in the world at photorealism. If Someone's goal is to never use a mask and achieve and be satisfied with their results, good for them. But I see Art as the end result, not how you get there. Thanks for watching. Much appreciated.
