  • Airbrush Shading Basics. One of the first things to learn with an airbrush is how to shade. I break each step down and I go over the 50 percent rule. Check out my Amazon Affiliate links below for the products I use in this video. Subscribe for more Airbrush tips, tricks and "How To's". It is my goal to help you speed up your learning process by having you avoid the mistakes I have made by trial and error. I also want to help you make some "Do It Yourself" accessories for around your Airbrush shop to make your project easier and save some money.

I’m just starting to learn how to airbrush with my goal being able to paint guitars. Your videos are invaluable. You are excellent at explaining things that obviously come naturally to you now. I was trying to learn the dagger strokes after watching other videos but not having much luck. You were the first one that talked about varying the distance of the airbrush from the board which helped immensely.
It’s going to be awhile before I try to paint one of my guitars but with your videos I am learning constantly THANK YOU

Thank you Travis. I am glad you like my videos. I, too, like to paint guitars and play them as well. Just keep practicing, and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.

Thanks again for making great content for beginners. I’m a permanent novice and really appreciated the shading technique at the end. 👏🤩

Thinkshop, lol. You will not be a permanent novice forever. Take pictures of your work, as I'm sure you probably already do. I promise you will see progress. The more you do, the better you will get. It only took me twenty years, lol and I still learn on every project.

@ryan barkley I can only share my experiences and what works for me. By all means, please share with all the views what is incorrect and correct it. The last thing I want to do is mislead anyone. Apparently, I don't know what I'm doing, so please help.

@@ryanbarkley6497 Like what exactly? The info about how light works is correct as I graduated as an Art Major. Was it technique? Because that is all subjective and personal preference. So what information is wrong here?
