      Yep, the 80s were my teen years. A lot of great music came out of that decade. Thanks, Vioer, for the comment, and thanks for watching.

      Thanks, Mark. I had drawn this in 8th grade lol with pencil, and I no longer have it, so I wanted to do it again, but this time, in airbrush. I am glad you like it. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.

    Another great and informative video. Question, would those erasers you use work the same on hard surfaces ?

    • @TheAirbrushGarage
      @TheAirbrushGarage  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi Randy, and yes. That painting was done on painted aluminum. Regardless of substrate, you will only ever be erasing down to the previous layer of paint. I hope this helps. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching.

    I'm a know-nothing newbie but I need to ask a stupid question--cam you do some video on the details of eraser technique? It looks like more than just erasing to me...

    Thanks for the video. I'm a new subscriber and I wrote to you in another one of your videos and thanks for that response. I noticed that you listed both the Takumi Eclipse and Takumi Micron in the description of this video. I couldn't tell in this video which one you were using. Did you use both? As I previously explained, I'll looking for a detail airbrush and I'm considering the Takumi Micron. I discovered Dru Blair's art as well and found that impressive. I would be using it on T-Shirts, canvas and banners for detail work. I use Createx and Wicked acrylics. Do you still think that the Micron is not the right airbrush for me? I've been using an Omni 4000 by Thayer and Chandler and it's not easy to get a thin line going. I also noticed that you get a much better view with the Takumi airbrushes since the cup is on the side and they're still gravity fed. Again, your input is greatly appreciated.

      Mario, I did use my micron, but only because I have one. I airbrushed 20 years with my eclipse. A great airbrush artist , Allen Pastana once told me... a micron is a want, not a need. It sounds like you are looking for versatility. If it was me, I would get the eclipse, hp, or Takumi. It has a .35 needle, and I can get very fine detail with it. They call it the work horse for a reason. I have a lot of different airbrushes, but if I only had an Eclipse, which I did like i said, for 20 years, I could paint anything. Remember, it's just my opinion. Ultimately, you have to figure out what works best for you.

      Joanna, I am using a smaller cup on the micron that I got from another brush but the iwatas I have are an eclipse hp-cs, eclipse takumi, hp-c, hp-c plus and a micron takumi.
