    your videos are brilliant - as an airbrush beginner (and bubbles in the cup is what I experience almost every time I start a session) it is really helping me out.

    What is your suggestion when the entire airbrush is perfectly clean with no paint in it. IPA will run through the nozzles and out when I pull back the needle with no air. The needle is brand new, the cap is brand new haven't even touched paint yet. With the cap off it spray fine. You put the cap on, hand tighten only with o-ring on there, check for air leak with soapy water and there is non leak. Still no paint in the airbrush, just water or IPA and as soon as you push the button down it starts bubbling, then you pull back on the trigger and it bubbles like crazy. Again, if I remove the cap, liquid in the cup flows fine. If I leave this same cap on, turn off the air and use the trigger the liquid will will run out the tip. This is just crazy..

      That is confusing. The only way to get bubbles is to obstruct the air flow. I would have to see a video on it. You can send one to dan@theairbrushgarage.com

    Hey buddy I have a question and I need advice ! I’m starting Chicano lowrider chola art you know the females with the fedora and the clown face make up ! My question is what’s some things I can do when shading her face ? Like I know less is more but what are some tips when shading the face ? I’m doing it in a white canvas and I’m using bright blue ( transparent) cretex for the outline and shading ? What are some professional things or tricks I can do to help ? Thank you from the bottom of my heart your AWSOME and I need some help to make her face look more realistic! Thank you my friend

      El Padre, I use Driscoll Tone for my skin tones. Here is a link to a video. One of the things I learned through the years is don't always turn to black for shadows. ua-cam.com/video/6kE9QU5Umc4/v-deo.htmlsi=_dQVBVXka0MiCN6Y I hope this helps.

    Welcome back Dan, this should help a lot. I didn't have any beeswax handy but found that plain lip tube balm (like a Chapstick) works just as well.

    My god brother where were you when I was starting ! I kept getting bubbles in my cup I found the rubber O ring on my Iwata eclipse right behind the cap was missing !! And for almost 6 months I was using this brush with a missing O ring ! Now it runs awesome but I keep getting spider blow outs !! lol so I have to adjust my mixing ratios I was running a 1-1 with 4011 reducer and I’m blowing spider webs all the time so I went from 30 pounds to 20 to 25 pounds ! Ugh I’m going to invent an airbrush that you could use straight out of the bottle ! No mixing or reducing and if you do reduce the paint the nozzle will adjust to the mix but the ultimate goal is to just pour and go !! NO MIXING hey Dan let’s go in together and let’s invent this new airbrush and stop the mixing madness! With your help we can design an airbrush that will use NO MIXING !! THATS the holy grail of airbrushing ! We can do it !! We would revolutionize airbrushing all over the world sit back and think ! NO MIXING NO RATIOS NO MATTER WHAT YOUR PAINTING !! Candies, transparent color , opaque color , even hard to do model paints !! JUST POUR AND GO ! We’d be millionaires!! Let me know and I’ll start the design process! I have an awesome idea !! For the needle tip ! Oh and also our design will be one piece ! NO MORE LITTLE NOZZLES, and rubber O rings !!

      Hey, someone is going to come up with the next level of airbrushes. Why not you! I think the problem is that every brand and type of paint has its own consistency. The only thing I can think of that does not need to be reduced is Ink. I like your drive!

    • @HAIRMETALAIRBRUSH
      @HAIRMETALAIRBRUSH 8 місяців тому

      @@TheAirbrushGarage see with your experience and my drive we can make an airbrush at every level we can have a beginner brush with a .5 needle an intermediate brush with a 3.5 needle and an expert line with a .25 needle and a platinum series with all 4 brushes ! And you can over see the manufacturing process with all your experience you know different paints and different pigments ! Hey I’m just sayin with your knowledge and my ability to sell the dream we can be millionaires ! My daughter even thought of a name for the brushes !
      Super simple airbrushes !! Cause it’s just simple no mixing or ratios basically pour and paint ! And we can make a special brush just for penalized and candy paints !! We can call them Super Simple Special brushes ! But anyway I can’t wait till your next video so I can learn more ! Thanks buddy YOU ROCK !🤘🏻🤘🏻

    Good information, Dan. I will brush soapy water around the caps to see if bubbles form indicating an air leak.

    One time I didn't push my needle in all the way. And I was getting Bubbles. took my whole gun apart cleaned it up real good. Put it back together and I was so afraid of to push the needle in to tight . Had bubbles again.
    So I pushed it in a little Just a touch more And bubbles went away. So I took the needle out again. Polished ithe. and then it seems to go in much easier. and since then. Never had bubbles again. Like You're Show Very helpful

Just like you said ! Now I’m runnin and gunnin like a pro but if you can come up with solving the problem of CRETEX opaque white not being so bad at tip dry or problems with flow I’d love to hear it cause across the board cretex white gives everyone fits ! But thank you all your advice and instruction and your an amazing teacher and I can’t wait to learn from you ! Your videos helped me and your advice you gave me kept me going when I was ready to throw my brush across the room thank you my friend!

      @@TheAirbrushGarage thank you so much just for answering me back it means the world to me !! Cause I just admire your work so much !! And yes the cretex white opaque is just a monster to deal with now my wife got me a bottle of a new color resolution it’s called CRETEX DETAIL WHITE but I haven’t used it yet ! But hopefully the great and powerful OZ of airbrush can help his students and solve the riddle of why the cretex white is just so hard to work with ! And in trying the new cretex detail white tonight so I’ll let you know first I’ll run it straight with no 4011 reducer through my Iwata 3.5 and then I’ll reduce it 1-1 and run it through again then I’ll reduce it 70-30 and run it through my micron Iwata but thank you again for you help
