I find it wild that certain kinds of painting gets hated on. Who cares as long as you like the final product. Great diorama man!
I think it's just so easy to get decent results with it, it can feel like cheating. Thanks mate!
That lid feels like a load baring greebly for 40k. The gothic arches are just too perfect.
Right?! I find it hilarious that they look more like gothic arches, than just tactile grips to open the juice easier.
I have drank dozens of bottles of that exact orange juice, and somehow never realized how cool the lid looks. Definitely saving the next one.
The gothic arches are simply too perfect 😄
sick build! the staff makes me think of a chaplain.
Thanks mate! 😃
Loving your kitbash templars! Regarding chains I have had great success with 1mm x 1mm and 2mm x 1,5mm hobby chains.
Thanks mate! Yeah...I bought a chain that looked small in the image, but I didn't read that it was 4mm 😅
You should start a discord to share painting ideas. Your work is dope and we have a similar style. I'm also a huge kitbash and diorama fan.
It's something I would really like to do eventually!
Almost makes me wanna start black templars! - very very cool !
Cheers!
My man. Another great project gotten finished
Thanks 😃🤘
Keep doing what you do. Your videos are awesome❤
Thank you so much mate, it's very encouraging knowing even less popular videos are still enjoyable :D
this is peak fiction story telling. the indomitable and unforgiving human spirit vs demonic/alien scum is my favorite kind of versus. bonus points for making the human imposing af
@tupoibydlos Thank you mate! Yeah, I gave the space marine a relaxed pose to show that the poxwalker is barely perceived as a threat.
Beautiful piece of work 👍👍
Thanks!
Looks incredible!!! 😊
Thanks 😁
Epic! I really like the stuff from GreyTide Studio! I can't wait to upgrade my models
Cheers! I really enjoy that they upgrade bits rather than full miniatures, gives me a ton of really cool options. I only wish they would make plastic resin one day, so I can stop using super glue 😄
That 3d printed shoulder makes him look like he is ready to bear the word... so does the power mace.
Not something I thought of at the time, but quite funny. There's also a bit of tragic irony there, given BT's are followers of the imperial cult. Lorgar would be proud 😄
This was totally rad 🤩
Cheers! 😄
Another great mini! Thanks for the awesome inspo! But, as a chaos lover, I feel betrayed.
Thanks mate! Yeah....I kind of threw that poor pox walker under the bus with this one. 😄
@AnotherDayMiniatures poor guy! lol
@@AnotherDayMiniatures about to start a Sons of Horus / True Sons army, this just made me want to get to work!
@@random.mp4164 Hell yea! Get those minis painted, also an awesome warband. SoH are some of my favorite armor color to paint.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures gotta love the teal!
Not a fan of Black Templars, but this came out amazing.
I can't help but think that if the Marine was on an elevated platform, with the Poxwalker or Poxwalkers below, that could also look amazing.
Cheers! That was a pose I was considering for a while, but couldn't pose the space marine in a way that wasn't wobbly.
You keep those bangers coming! Incredible work.
You do say that you used your Stormcast color scheme (from, I assume, the Kitbashing video?), but I struggle to understand what's your primer and how you get that shiny-zenithal look when it's barebone?
I found your color scheme for the red cloth ("FleshTearer Red Contrast paint + AK Deep red. Final highlight was AK Deep red" for anyone wondering) below in the comments, but couldn't find a reference for what you used for the lenses on the helmet? That red-black ominous aura is incredible looking, if you wouldn't mind sharing your knowledge!
Thanks alot, as per usual, for the inspiration and the drive to keep improving!
Cheers mate! 😃 Yeah, I used all the same colors from the previous Stormcast kitbash, but I applied them with the airbrush. The primer is "Vallejo Black Surface Primer". It's quite glossy, so it reflects my soft light box, giving it that zenithal look. The helmet part was actually a bit of a happy accident. I had too much water on my brush, and when I applied the AK Deep Red, it had a capillary reaction and spread around, creating a faint OSL effect. The final highlight for the "eyes" was just a tiny amount of white in the Deep Red, to give it that glowing pink effect.
Oh wow, insane results for that happy accident then! Thank you so much for answring those questions, cheers!
@@sthelios3864 Indeed!, I didn't notice it at the time as the capillary effect took a few minutes to fully realize. Might be something I need to try intentionally.
I like to do gillimans flesh then plague bearer flesh on top in a patchy/ thinned out I find it looks good like that
That's a cool alternative, would give the idea of the plague just starting to kick in.
Wow that's cool
Cheers 😄🤘
They make a Gorilla Glue with a dropper and a brush. I've found the brush very useful for assembly. I found it at my local Walmart for much cheaper than Tamiya. Hopefully it helps in your future kitbashes
Oh, I need to try and find that. Half the time I have more glue coming out by itself than I need.
Phew this goes hard
😄🤘
@@AnotherDayMiniatures also I feel like I asked before but what's that red you used on him? It looks dope
@@armin8306 It's actually a bit of a new mix, turned out better than I thought for how simple it was. FleshTearer Red Contrast + AK deep red. Final highlight is just deep red on it's own.
Epic!!!
😀🤘
Great kitbash! Which color do you use for airbrushing the Marine, after the black premier? Some kind of dark blue?
Thanks! It's Black + Vallejo Luftwaffe
Chaosgate demon hunters?
Yeah, they're very similar to this dude, they're basically a space battle wizzard version of Space Marines. Much more powerful vs demons, this crusader would just bonk the pox walkers really hard 😄
Nice red, you got a paint list?
Thanks. It was FleshTearer Red Contrast paint + AK Deep red. Final highlight was AK Deep red on it's own.
What’s your ratio for the Vallejo gold and the green stuff world gold?
I don't have a set ratio, but I usually continue to mix in the dry pigment until I can see the mixture shift to the correct color. If you add too much, it will start to clump up, and thats when you can add a bit of the vallejo gold again to fix it.
Is the "bottle cap" some form of channel meme I'm not in on? I've watched the entire video 3 times and I cannot see any mention of a bottle cap. Am I being easily trolled? 😅
0:15 😄 The base topper and the entire diorama are sitting on a bottle cap from Tropicana orange juice.
