The templates were great, drilling the hole for marking the start location good too. I would have put double sided tape on the inside of the template and moved it to where it looked straight and level then outlined with sharpy. Your way was fine too. Great video.
That's not a bad shout at all to be honest. Sometimes it takes another eye to notice these things. I've had a few weeks off the build but, back on it yesterday. I have managed to fit surrounds to the inside of the windows now so, that vlog should be out by the end of the week. Cheers Tony. Mal.
Love the Mrs coming in at the end to spoil the surprise. You were right that nibbler didn’t look very good! I haven’t seen the rest of the vids yet but are you going to put some of the bracing you removed under the windows to give that panel rigidity. ?
Hi Anthony, to be honest, there is very little flex in the panel so no real concerns over that. That said, I will bonding a wooden framework to the panel, around the window and that will be attached to the interior cladding so that should act as a form of bracing anyway. I'm afraid Christmas has slowed down the build so, I really need to pull my finger out. Cheers for commenting. Mal.
Ahh, we were in a similar position. I now look at the T6 and think, jeez, there's so much less work in a T6!! 😆 Good luck with your search for a Crafter and the subsequent conversion. Don't rush your purchase, make sure it's the best your can afford. There were many I could have jumped in on but, we're glad we waited for the right one.
Ahh, that's good to hear, thanks. Blimey, this was a while ago but, if I recall correctly, I ran the seal up to the vents and between the vents but not on them. I'm pretty sure I left them dry. Good luck.
Hi Lee, great to hear you're embarking on a similar adventure. It really is a learning curve. I've just measured the windows and they are 10 and 5/8 inches deep and 31 and 1/2 inches long. Sorry, I'm old enough to use feet and inches! However, most windows like this are a universal size I think. I either got them from Vanstyle or Van Pimps. I've ordered so much stuff I forget which one I used now. Good luck.
Hi Dan, sorry, I'm unable to put hyperlinks in the comments caption but, they are openable universal windows that were supplied by Vanpimps. They were around £99. Good luck with your build and the stealth camping.
No problem at all. Not sure if you mean, securely fitted or offer good security for the van. Re' the first point, they're secured to the van with the adhesive which comes with the windows. It's the same adhesive that I use for the large windows too so, they're going nowhere once that adhesive has gone off. With regard to the second point, you can have the windows with or without opening panes. Of course, I have the opening panes on both sides and they are very secure. The plastic catches inside the vehicle are substantial so I doubt the window could be forced from outside. Also, if they did manage to force the window open, you'd only be able to grab what was in arms reach plus you'd have to be stood on something to give you height. Sorry, bit of a convoluted reply but, I hope it answers your question. Cheers.
@@CampervanHabitude thanks for answering yes you've answered everything! I may get a van vault or something similar too, for expensive items.. as I'll be living in until I can find some land to purchase .. all the best Dan ..
The bed I've fitted is a standard double and it's fitted length ways. So head at rear door and feet towards the front. If you look at later vlogs you'll see I have space at the side for drinks etc. I'm 6' 3" so too tall to sleep sideways. In fact, you'd have to be quite small to sleep that way. I believe you can buy pods to flare the sides out though. 👍
Great stuff cheers 🍻 at the end comedy gold, nice one 😂
Cheers Paul. Thanks for watching.
nice job
Many thanks. It's not perfect but, it's good to hear praise off fellow van lifers. Cheers.

That's not a bad idea all all. There will always be a next time! 😂Thanks for commenting.
“There’s my glasses” 😂😂🤓
You’re a braver man than I am. I’d certainly be paying someone to do this job 😬
I need two pairs of glasses these days as I'd never find my spare pair without them! 😆
@@CampervanHabitude coming from someone who doesn’t need glasses, it’s hilarious 😁

Good job. I’ll be watching with interest, I’m looking to purchase a crafter to convert, just done my T6 but now need something bigger. 👍

Hi , looks great have the same windows and about to start fitting this afternoon. Can i take it you ran the sealant/adhesive over the vents ?

Hi... great video thanks... just about to embark on the same conversion myself and wondering what size windows they are?

@@CampervanHabitude thanks for the reply .. that's ok and a bargain! Are they fairly secure ?
