I like the way you are doing this conversion and its interesting to see how other people convert in their own unique way. I look forward to see the updates.
Thanks Chris, that's very nice of you to say. I does take up a lot of my time, just sitting in the van, trying to visualise things but, it'll get done eventually. Love your profile pic too BTW. We all love The Beatles in this family. 👍
Raffy can definitely join our clan with him being on the brew dog 😂 Loving the tweed covering, breaks it up nicely! Good to see Ruth adding to the vlog 🤩🍻
😆 Well, Ruth went out for 'one drink' at quarter to two in the afternoon. She got home shortly after 8pm. I'm guessing the drink was served in a dustbin. In fact, the way she did the side ways soft shoe shuffle when she exited the taxi, she may have had two!!
@@CampervanHabitude i hate it when you simply ask for a drink and it comes in a dustbin, you get so drunk, you think you can handle a second! Our wives are scarily similar 😂😂
Cheers Johnny. The CLS is attached to the window surround with silica sealant. Sorry, can't recall which one and the empty tube has since been discarded. I was a bit reluctant at first but, silica is used to attach the actual windows and they're a lot heavier. I can also now confirm, the framework is going nowhere, it's solid. The upper plywood, with the tweed, was initially held in place with one self tapper through the double skin metal framework at the very top. I then screwed into the wooden CLS framework. The shelf will also act as a fixture for this panel too, once fitted. The lower ply, covered in four way stretch, is self tampered into the metal framework. Hope that helps. Mal. 👍
Hi Anna, my wife got it from eBay. The seller was called, 'Furnishing Fabrics'. I just used the usual spray glue, which I get from Harrison Trim Supplies to glue to the doors card. This is the same stuff I use on the four way stretch material I use for most of the other surfaces. However, please note the tweed type material does not stretch at all so, it is quite awkward to fit without getting wrinkles in the fabric. Good luck. Mal, Ruth & Raffy.
TBH, Fiona, I could sleep in a used teabag so this will be more than adequate, regardless of how much more I do to it. We just need the bed throwing back in and the cool box with a few beers added! 😆

@@Professionalmoochers I'll ask Ruth to bring a second bin with her to the next meet up, so Sarah can share too! 😆
Coming along nicely. How does the cls timber and plywood actually attach to the metal frame? Is it self taping metal screws?

Loving the tweed idea, where did you get it from please and how did you attach to the door card? Thanks Anna

Good to see it's all coming together. Will it be ready for a van warming at Vanfest? 🚐🐾

@@CampervanHabitude Yep beer and bed and all's well with the world 😀. Hope we get to meet Raffy, he looks all knowing! 🐕🦺
You may regret saying that!!! 😂
