This is an amazing idea! I enjoyed Beatallica’s mash up of Beatles and Metallica (“Garage Days Night”, etc. look it up it’s hilarious and rocking), and now that he’s done both bands in the style of Muse it’s a bizarre world fusion. What would be the album title though? Black Holes and Revolver? Absolution Road? Rubber Soul and Revelations? Probably just the simple is the best: Muse the Beatles
I'm not gonna lie, that is the best Matt Bellamy impression I have ever heard, no question. If I hadn't heard the Beatles version of this song, and I heard this, I would absolutely think it was just a Muse song.
I think that I can agree with. But that would mean that it would be the best Muse song that they would had come up with for years... Which is no wonder. Because they have not written something that is up to the scale of john Lennons songwriting, at least not for ages. If ever.
The chorus vocal harmonies, the guitar solo fuzz-factory tone, enhanced Wolstenholme-ish bassline, everything is just 10/10 😍😍😍 I'm adding November 29th as a holiday to my calendar: "The release date of the best cover ever existed".
You've gotten to the point that if I wasn't paying a ton of attention, I could very, very easily mistake this for an actual Muse cover. Holy shit man. This needs all the views and then more
Musicians would know how insanely difficult it is to create a compelling and varied cover for a popular song, let alone cover it with an entirely different genre of music while being faithful to the core vibes of the original. Bravo to you, Andre!
I didn't think you could top your Master of Puppets in the style of Muse in terms of sheer epicness, but I think you've done it. Great job Andre, this was absolutely perfect!
indeed while his voice was still a bit more baritone than Bellamy's in Master of Puppets, here I actually wonder if he managed to persuade Matt to do the vocals
God damn, André! Just keep getting better and better. I don't think people understand how much production is involved in this song. Everything is 11/10.
A bit on the nose, no? These covers in Muse style are awesome, but he's literally ripping riffs from Muse songs to mimic the style, so of course it sounds like them. People were saying this shit about Muse during Drones as well, and he's using songs from Drones here to help do the cover. You all want Muse to be like Green Day and just sound identical song to song for 3 decades lmao
@@michaelcain-pruis2422 I'm actually even worse, I want them to go back to how they sounded in Showbiz/Origin of Symmetry lol, which is why I appreciate his use of a guitar riff from Citizen Erased here (didn't really notice the Drones references). The thing about Muse in the past few albums is that they're basically playing covers, while changing the lyrics and moving some of the notes around. Which is basically what Andre is doing, except he's not trying to pass them off as original songs, and the results are often more interesting and emotionally moving. I'm confused about your use of the phrase "a bit on the nose" - I wrote a rather explicit and straightforward comment, so yeah, it's on the nose. Not a bit on the nose, entirely on the nose - purposefully!
This would make an absolutely amazing Bond theme! It's just... I don't even know what feelings it evokes in me because I've never felt them before. This is absolutely amazing, my favourite Muse song and it's not even a Muse song - or sung by Muse!!
That is absolutely brilliant!! I don’t remember ever not loving the Beatles and I’ve always enjoyed Muse but this is better than either could have created by themselves. …and neither has anything to do with it!! It’s like those elements that show up on the periodic table even though they never existed in nature.
I'm going to write a longish comment here for aspiring musicians. In this comment I hope you will find a method for making original music in the 2020s. Original? It's a cover of a song by one famous band, and being done in the style of a different famous band. I totally get how you might not think that two "borrowed" things can add up to something new. But Andre Antunes shows it...or, more precisely, lets us hear it. This rendition of this song brings out the song's emotional power in a way the modern Beatles production doesn't. Also, it's somewhat better songwriting than Muse usually does. Andre knew exactly what he wanted to do with this, and has the skills to do it. Fabulous. If you are a lover of sound, inspiration is all around you all the time. Originality is merely finding a new way to express your inspirations. Andre is one of the best musicians today, and he always "collaborates".
that's because Muse keeps reinventing their style every two albums or so, but Andre usually goes for the more popular Muse styles of the past (which is completely fine, I still love their older stuff).
you got this muse style locked in man. like if someone made me listen to this with audio only, i really dont know if i could tell the difference. you encapsulate them so well! which takes a phenomenal musician to do, ....all of it. bra fucking vo.
