    Wrestling "not to lose" was killing the sport for a while. This is a throwback to those matches.

    I’m a Lewis fan but I’m glad he used to push the action back in the day but ever since he hurt his shoulder 2 years ago he doesn’t do anything sort of like fix that’s why all his matches are always 2-1 or 3-2 no matter how weak the competition carter from PSU buries his opponent s imposes his will and I love that

    The audio is not matching up. Makes it seem like all wrestlers are moving 3 seconds before the whistle!

    Lewis is a great wrestler... when he wrestles. However, if you nurse 1 point leads or play for the rideout criteria in triple overtime, you deserve what you get.

    Carter would not have his third title if overtime didn’t screw Mekhi Lewis YET AGAIN!!

    Was Lewis unaware of the rules? Mikey rode him out and chose neutral so did Lewis need to score there? Just confused that he stalled the entire match, yet in that last 30 second OT he was reckless as hell.

    These matches are why wrestling is losing its fan base, im a huge wrestling fan but for crying out loud really 1 to 0 i think at the 5 minute mark this is plain ridiculous, we need the ncaa to change the rules to start calling stalling or a 30 second clock, this is wrestling, wrestling not chess not checkers but wrestling, some of the toughest guys in this weight class who are afraid to take a shot, please remind me what camp anyone has ever gone to were u tie up and circle and keep pushing the heads down, pitiful, and i know he is on another level but gable the heavyweight takes shots all day long so there really shouldn't be a excuse at this weight

    Lewis just needs to get his cardio up. But that can’t be the issue has to be weight or something else.

      The first part is true, the second is not. His freshman year he was dominant, and took shots. When people have something to “lose” they get conservative. When they are freshman they know they have time so they are loose cannons that go all out and by default do pretty freakin well. He’s still good, he has amazing potential, but he has to let go of whatever he thinks he’ll “lose” and believe in himself. You don’t get to the semifinals 3 times in a row and 2 national finals and “not be a good wrestler”. As a coach I would have been screaming my ass off at either wrestler because they both didn’t do anything at all. It was just sloppy sloppy wrestling. It was just collar ties for days

      @@omaribrahim7457Lewis did nothing the entire match except for escape which was basically given to him. Dude just let him stand straight up and turn his hips. All Lewis did was block moves the whole match. Zero offense. It’s amazing he didn’t get called for multiple stalling calls. He’s dead wood. I’m glad he lost. He doesn’t belong in the finals. It’s also amazing how much wrestling changes the rules from year to year. They’re all over the map and there is no consistency year over year. The sport is unrecognizable within 5 year turns.
      And what’s up with the no play by play announcers??? Is the NCAA that cheap?

    • @omaribrahim7457
      @omaribrahim7457 Рік тому +1

      I watched the match as well. They honestly both were not in any sort of attacking position. I honestly don’t think either should be in the finals. The wrestling is absolutely piss poor. Mikey was a little bit more aggressive in controlling the center and pace but he just locked up in endless collar ties the whole time. Mekhi was also absolutely lazy and made for a terrible match. He’s got potential, but we don’t count that in a match of course. Watch it at 2x speed and you’ll see neither were setting up shots except like once by Mikey
