Another banger! That part at the start was literally making my tummy turn and my toes curl 😅 I’d be bleddy useless if I was actually there 😂 I could deffo have finished that sweet treat thing at end tho 🐷
I know the city has exploded in suze recently, but is there much 'old stuff' like you get in other Chinese cities. Once again always excited when I get the notification of a new Lewis Crampton video dropping, not disappointed!
@@declanharvey-kelly1165 Yep it’s been around for ages, like everywhere else, but the growth is mental! Fascinating place to visit and another stark contrast to other stops so far. Cheers mate! Glad you’re enjoying still 🙏
@@declanharvey-kelly1165 Yeah I always imagined there was a logical reason for it! Did some digging, it turns out the terrain is just a bit crazy (and they persevered nonetheless). Impressive to overcome it!
Those gas stations used to be bomb shelters, built to escape Japanese bombing. Chongqing is the birthplace of hot pot. Have you tried Chongqing hot pot? Very delicious 😋. Have a nice trip! ❤❤❤
another great video and glad you enjoyed the noodles 😊😊. I am planning to go with friends next year as they want to challenge the infamous Chongqing hot pot😅😅
I believe it’s actually a municipality, not a city or a province, and it’s governed directly by the central Chinese government. Being a province would mean it governs itself, right? And I mentioned in the video that it’s the same size as Austria, which is huge, hence why the “biggest city” is a slightly complicated term!
Great to see you're back travel vlogging Lewis! Keep up the interesting content!
@@oldmangreg44 Thanks mate! 11 videos down, 1 more to go from this trip - what a journey it’s been!

Honestly felt like one massive optical illusion, really bizarre - and I'd like to see you try but I'm pretty confident it's impossible 🍨
@ flights to China says I can 👀
Chongqing is massive. The city's verticality is utterly stunning.
@@max_dsouth9 Crazy isn’t it! They’ve managed to maximise every square inch of the place

@LewisCrampton it is mad, I've seen a lot of things about the levels in Chongqing but not really about the hills to explain why they do it before

@LewisCrampton we'll see..my friends want to make the most of the 30 days visa free but I can't stay that long with them 😂😂
@@howardcheung5809 i don’t think you need very long in chongqing, if you’re in a hurry! a few days will be plenty
what’s your planned route?
@LewisCrampton no idea yet..everything is up in the air as I am looking for a new job either in uk or in hk.
I think as someone who's bad with directions in general, I would get completely lost in CQ 😂😅

By land mass not the biggest density of population is the highest
It’s not a city it’s a province
@@GARRYJackson-q1h Hey - i didn’t mention population density, and i mentioned that it is in fact a municipality, not a city or province. Cheers
China has the largest population, not the biggest density of population. China isn't universe; it's a country.
Chongqing is technically not a city but a province, it is huge, about the size of England yet the population is about 30 million.
