    Those gas stations used to be bomb shelters, built to escape Japanese bombing. Chongqing is the birthplace of hot pot. Have you tried Chongqing hot pot? Very delicious 😋. Have a nice trip! ❤❤❤

    In 2015 the World Bank declared the world's largest city as Guangzhou-Shenzhen, that had recently merged together as one contiguous urban area (similar to Tokyo-Yokohama which it pipped) via Dongguan - as in one can walk on urban streets sided by dense buildings from one end to the other. Its population is over 40 million, its metro population is 55 million, which is part of the Pearl River Delta (not to confused with)- a string of cities knitting together with 88 million people north of Hong Kong.

    Chongqing is technically not a city but a province, it is huge, about the size of England yet the population is about 30 million.

    • @LewisCrampton
      @LewisCrampton  5 днів тому +2

      I believe it’s actually a municipality, not a city or a province, and it’s governed directly by the central Chinese government. Being a province would mean it governs itself, right? And I mentioned in the video that it’s the same size as Austria, which is huge, hence why the “biggest city” is a slightly complicated term!
