Yes, I get a small Government pension, but it's just over the level of Tax Free Allowance we get, but the Government cannot tax that. Instead, I get a very small, £75 per month, private pension and that is taxed now at 42% to take it back, thanks to the Tories. No mention from Labour of correcting this, instead they're now taking away my winter fuel allowance. One bandit after another.

It’s so completely unfair to take away the fuel payment pensioners are really going to suffer this winter last winter I had to keep going to bed with a hot water bottle to get feeling back in my feet a couple of times a day because I was so scared of what my bill would be.
Because they fell in to the trap of believing their duplicitous lies and cannot, now, get out of the many things that they set up to support them and help them integrate. It was a honey trap and we are now suffering. They must simply pull off the plaster and set things straight, it will take some fair sized cahunas, but it will work if reset. Oh Mike I have missed your wonderful quips and dry humour. I needed some light relief after all the recent horrendous events in Southport, Kent and Suffolk, to name but a few. Thank you to you and to the great panel.
As a paramedic, we got a 5.5% (still not received it) pay rise remaining below inflation, legal action was taken by the government preventing us striking in the future even though we have only had on strike in 20 years. WE are currently picking up the slack from junior doctors, nurses and GPS's that are causing waiting list increases and lost appointments. WE are being expected to arrange antibiotics, community care, referrals to health and social care with no extra training and but more responsibility. But do you know what, as crappy as it is we signed up for it, a pay rise above inflation or cancellation of our student loan (as we actually have to pay it back) worth £200+ a month would be a better than nothing. I checked my student loan and to work in the NHS i have got to pay back almost £91,000 (almost double what the loan actually was) and on that I paid 7% interest this year. we have literally paid to work for the NHS, to get paid less, to have no police support when we are called out to mental health or violent cases, have no breaks, finish late every day, get abused by both family members and patients on a daily basis and that is before you have to argue with ED doctors and Nav-nurses as to why you have taken a patient in then be told to sit in a carpark for four hours and wait, some times not allowed in the hospital to use the toilet or kitchen (that means being forced to buy drinks from places like Costa if the patient is stable enough to be left). The junior doctors, Nurses and GP's (who's practices are mostly private) don't have a clue what poor working conditions are, want to come out with us on the road for a month and see what we have to deal with. It must be very nice to have protected break times, public support for pay rises, a pharmacy in the building, prescribing doctors fliting about and security on the door. Because now when winter comes along, when the winter fuel payments stop and the elderly populations illnesses explode as they always do those same junior doctors, nurses and GP's will vote for industrial action again and bingo you guest it who's going to be the ones picking up the slack again and again and again....

A lot of pensioners dont get pension credits they own their own homes, and they have to pay there rates all household bill the upkeep of houses, which are now in disrepair. A lot are living on their own with mobility issues .i can tell you when you can't move about well it gets very cold .

A lot of pensioners dont get pension credits they own their own homes, and they have to pay there rates all household bill the upkeep of houses, which are now in disrepair. A lot are living on their own with mobility issues .i can tell you when you can't move about well it gets very cold .
