My father was in Bomber Command, it was disrespectful to his memory and the other brave young men who didn't return from many raids. My father was one of the lucky ones but he lost a lot of friends.
Canada is a huge country. Our team works across 4 time zones. We have no choice-- somone will always be contacting someone else outside of regular work hours. The way our director deals with this is by having a understanding that as a norm- unless it's urgent- no one has to respond outside their working hours - The team has flexible working hours - so that makes it easier. It's not a breeze. However we make it work and sometimes it does mean you have to have meetings outside your normal hours.
