Actually, as a French person, I can tell he did not struggle at 10:05, he is singing « plus beau vu d’en haut » which means « it could be more beautiful from above », as the story is about a depressive person. What makes this song beautiful and the original composer did that on purpose, is singing lower and flipping to higher note, expressing that wish of going to the sky, after a suicide. Low notes = Earth - pain, high notes = heaven - inner peace. The fact that he stylistically did that belt stepping up each time to a higher notes shows that he understood the message and how this message has to be convey vocally. So this song is all about flipping from a low register to a high register! I needed to point that out, love ur videos, keep going!!
para essa dupla nao importa a letra da musica , importa se o rapaz consegue imitar ou nao Dimash e nem conhece o poder todo da voz do Dimash, pergunta ao rapaz se ele consegue imitar Dimash na nota D8
THIS. i dread/cringe (sometimes literally) every single time i hear someone attempt to place dimash into one particular vocal type. he does defy standard classifications, & most vocally well informed people eventually pick up on this (although i don't hold it against anyone when they are hearing him for the first time & try to make a call prior to hearing more of his range). if anything, i hope it serves as a humble reminder to not be too quick to judge, nor decide you know something too quickly...which a lot of people are throwing at these two individuals. how can anyone expect them to revisit dimash's insane talent if all they receive is spite & vitriol for trying? i'm frustrated all around, with people for making quick assumptions about dimash's capabilities, & also at the dears, who really ought to know better than to behave like this whole comment section is.
Ok, you guys viewed this in a critical perspective, but you didn't try to appreciate what a beautiful singer he is. You guys were off key trying to repeat what he did. P.S. Never use the word 'struggle' for Dimash.
🤣 I love it. "NEVER USE THE WORD STRUGGLE FOR DIMASH!" So true. I think the only time I have EVER heard him struggle was when he's performed while ill, and even then he sounded better than many other professional singers!
Lol dimash holds power belts for over 20 seconds so no he wasn’t looking for air... also he doesn’t struggle with flipping in his mid range... he can go to D8.
@@ChaseandMelia That's true, and he might struggle with the odd thing in private but I can honestly say I've never heard him struggle with anything live.....ever. The man defies classification, this is a person who has sung with the likes of Andrea Bocelli and Lara Fabian and honestly outshone them.
Since we deal in subjectivity, let me tell you why I did not enjoy your reaction: guys, you can't see the forest for the trees ! It's like you take a car, dismantle it to the very last bolt and nut, look at different parts and then draw conclusions about the whole car from that perspective. It is toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo technical of a perspective you guys take. Relax a bit and let it flow a little bit more. Dimash has been in the trade for 20 years and yes, he is classically trained. Maybe if you go further into his other songs, you will perhaps realize that he is a a different breed. Good luck then and loosen up a bit ; it never heart anyone.
👍 Very well explained what happened here, thank you.😘 The reactors don't listen with their hearts and so they miss the "whole" thing, the most important thing about music, and that's the emotion and beauty. What a pity for them!
@@monikadear3594 Fortunately they listened a bit better in the end. I think Dimash captivated them finally at least for a moment. Yes, music is art. Dimash is expressing emotions in his singing, not only showing how to produce perfect sounds☺️
Thank you. I have been a Canadian (Dimash) Fan for almost 4 years. I personally believe, Dimash is a Music Virtuoso of our time. He is from Kazakhstan and Dimash will be 27 in May 2021. Dimash has been formally training and performing for over 21 years. At the age of 5 years old it was determined he had perfect pitch. Dimash is known for his exceptionally wide vocal range and unique breath control. Many Vocal Coaches and Singers have differing opinions whether Dimash is a Baritone, Tenor or Contralto. It is recorded that he has a range higher than Six (6) Octaves and continues to improve his ranges and techniques. Dimash is a phenomenal Vocal Storyteller. Dimash calls his style an "Innovation" [Neo-Classicism] in the Classical Crossover Genre. Dimash combines many Styles such as Classical (Opera), Contemporary (Modern, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Rap), Estrada and traditional Kazakh folk music. Dimash is multi-talented, Singer [12 languages], Multi-instrumentalist [7 instruments], Composer and Performer. He also recently co-directed one of his own Music Videos. Dimash [he is 1.91 cm / 6ft 3in tall] has also done Modelling for well known Fashion Labels, Lifestyle and Fashion magazines. Dimash graduated in 2014 from Music Institute in Classical Music with Major in Vocal Opera (Bel Canto). Dimash continued his education with University studies in Contemporary Music and graduated in 2018 with a Major in Vocal Contemporary Pop & Jazz. In the Summer of 2020, Dimash graduated with a Master of Music Composition. Dimash has been invited for 2020/2021 to continue his doctorate studies in Music at the same University. Dimash speaks Kazakh, Russian and has a working knowledge of English.
It is a phenomenal experience to be in the audience for a live Dimash performance or Concert. Ok….I have to comment here. I have been listening to Dimash reactions for three years and those of the finest vocal instructors. You guys have been the absolute FIRST to EVER make a negative comment on his capabilities or his skills or point out errors. No reactor has ever acted as unimpressed as you two have. He IS the WORLDS best singer and those that truly know vocals stand in awe of this singer.
I agree, he wasn’t struggling, he was using a belting style in that part of the song as a contrast to the earlier falsetto/ head voice. It’s to showcase different range and tones.
It’s definitely stylistic choice. He sang this song so many times and each there is something different but the switching part is always done without struggle.
i wouldnt say easily. He CAN do it. Doesnt mean its easy for him. people make mistakes, maybe it wasnt on purpose. I love him and maybe it was on purpose, but sometimes his fan base gets too biased and calls every mistake "on purpose". I have noticed so many dodges and mistakes hes made and still think hes the best. Everyone makes mistakes.
Everyone has the right to have an opinion, conversely, everyone else has the right to think it's stupid. I'm not a vocal teacher/coach, but I've seen enough reactions by those who are to believe that Dimash is about as close to flawless as it gets.
Although you both reference Dimash having classical training, you seem to misunderstand that the darker tone and different placement *is* classical tone and placement. Dimash is creating more space and placing his voice further back for the classical tone and then bringing it forward into the mask for the more contemporary tones at other parts of the song. In classical, you use a tall, oval mouth. In contemporary, you use a wider mouth. On the first "from above" line, he demonstrates a classical style. The second time, he switches to a contemporary. These are choices he's making. This is his first appearance in this singing competition and he's showing different techniques. No offense, but the idea that Dimash not placing his voice in the front with a wider mouth is a mistake of some sort shows that you may know contemporary but you don't know much about classical or opera. Dimash's chosen style is actually a mix of the two where he moves between them, sometimes on the same vowel. He's playing with colors. I've seen professional, working opera singers watch this performance and rave about the perfection of his classical technique, placement, and breath control. Most folks - pro singers, producers, musicians, vocal coaches, etc - understand that Dimash is mixing and moving between styles, not "swallowing" his vowels or choosing the wrong vowels. I'd love to see you continue down the Dimash rabbit hole because I think, as you get used to the mix of styles Dimash uses, you'll realize that your take on this performance was limited by your presumptions of what the style "should" sound like. Your musical education may have taught you enough to become vocal coaches but, right now, your experience level still has you stuck inside a box. This is not about being a fanboy and defending Dimash. There are a few videos out there where Dimash struggled due to sound equipment issues or illness (though they're few and far between). You are absolutely free to say "I personally don't like classical singing" but to say that what Dimash did here is wrong? That says more about your lack of knowledge on the subject than it says about Dimash. You are objectively wrong.
I was wondering how they concluded that Dimash did the "wrong" thing without knowing the song and the interpretation. One thing Dimash fans know is that he doesn't necessarily conform because he wants to experiment with his voice. So you can't always predict what style he would choose.
I did rather scratch my head about that: "we've never heard of him and we've never seen this video before but we're going to point out all the [things we think he did wrong] now"
... especially that d8, right? just a reminder that no matter how talented (incredibly, almost defiantly so, in dimash's case), one may be, *absolutely no one is perfect one hundred percent of the time* let dimash be human. & let others explore his talents without such heavy criticism.
Dimash, singing here in 2017 in French, is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100% and has now started his PhD. His range is over 6 octaves (almost 7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for famous professional singers (not the Voice,) in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to worldwide stardom and became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic, but he has now introduced pop songs there too. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register and has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He was on a solo world tour and in his concerts he sings for around 3 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album ( platinum in 37 seconds, triple platinum in under an hour) and a new album will be released soon. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others around the world including South America. Thank you for your reaction, please do more, he has more than enough videos on UA-cam. Bravo Dimash 💖
Excellent CV, his Mother and Father couldn’t have done better! We Dears love Dimash, he is in a class of his own. I think also, this song being a competition entry, needed to show as much of his talent as possible to allow him to go further.
Oh, you’re going to hear a lot of correction on this reaction. I’ve been listening to Dimash for four years and many reactions along the way. He is considered one of the best singers of our time. Anything he does, he does on purpose. He mixes many styles and colors in any one song. He performs his songs. He doesn’t just sing them. I hope you listen to more Dimash and learn what he’s all about. FYI, he’s a good guy. Polite, very close to his family, very respectful, does charity work. Also he’s been in training since he was five. He has his Masters and is working on his doctorate. Sings in twelve languages and plays several instruments. You’re going to get a lot of information about him...get ready.
I think it was more not really understanding what Dimash does. Your opinion doesn’t make it incorrect. I just meant you’re going to hear a lot of things explained by his “Dears”. I am a Dear also. Bev
@@ChaseandMelia he did everything on purpose in this performance even he was nervous going first to a brand new show. But it was his choice to do that Opera note wasn't out of control what so ever that's where you got it wrong even it wasn't your cup of tea it was super hard to doo that
@@ChaseandMelia Well, first when you mentioned whistle tones, that wasn't his whistle register. When you hear it from him, you'll understand. He has a powerful whistle register unlike most people who can squeak out a few. He has mentioned in interviews he trained as a tenor from a very young age (like 4 or 5) and gained access to his lower register as time has gone on and kept it through puberty. It's understandable though because most people just listen to one thing and put people in a box. The reason for most of the downvotes I believe is because of the "he struggled switching registers" comment. See, most Dimash Fans (Dears) know that this song was the first performance of The Singer show in China in 2017. He was the very first performer on that season against other professional artists. He was the only foreigner, and the youngest contestant on the show thus far. The flight from Kazakhstan to China, well let's just say you get some jet lag. Dimash actually got really really sick like 6 weeks later so who knows how he was even feeling then. With all that into account, as a superfan, even I can tell you he wasn't at 100% capacity so I actually believe you are right... but to me... I wouldn't use the word struggle. When you see more of what Dimash can truly do, you'll understand he's a virtuoso. I think another reason why you got a lot of downvotes, is just the genuine lack of appreciation. You really analyzed the crap out of him (which I don't mind honestly). Dears are very protective of him but I wouldn't say the fan-base as a whole is crazy. Just look at your like/dislike ratio :D.
I can’t believe you cut him off in the middle at the finale. You haven’t really allowed the song it’s performance. Your reactions are all yours. Thanks for listening. Dimash is a treasure in this world to millions.
I gave them another chance with a different artist and they talk ENTIRELY too much. You don't need to pause every 6 seconds to talk about something, let the song play a little first so you get a feel for what's going on instead of commenting on every other note Seriously trying too hard to info dump and make themselves look good
😂😂😂😂 They're struggling to listen to the same masterful , impressive performance that everyone else hears when they listen to Dimash for the very first time. I think a little himble pie is on the menu for a couple of "Voice Teachers"!!!
Sometimes "struggle" is tied to emotions that a singer Conveys within a song and it is part of the performance. Dimash is as multi dimensional as it gets. Honestly, it felt like it completely went over your heads.
This reaction was kinda awkward to watch. It felt like they didn't really know what they were talking about. Like they tried to talk about technicalities but didn't find/know the right words or terms for that.
everything he did in this performance was on purpose. he is the master of singing technic. the best on earth. well this is your first time watch dimash so u will see that he can do any kind of vibrato
I showed this video to my vocal coach and we laughed hysterically. Dimash dears it’s important to understand if vocal coaches are not fluent in other languages or sing in the way the artist can, to properly train them. Their opinion is just an opinion, not matter of fact. This is why Dimash seeks vocal training from professionals who are primarily opera related. These two vocal coaches are not educated in that subject, as it’s very clear. Don’t take their opinion to heart, it’s an anglophone opinion on a multilingual artist.
You are so correct. Now day “vocal coach” if that’s what they call themselves, are so ignorant, music, music genres are really important now days, but it just seem like some “pop vocal coach” thinks they know everything and judging singers on the knowledge of pop or the genres they know to say what’s wrong what’s not… sad .. like for example you just can’t using pop style or r&b style to judge if a rock singer is wrong the way they sing 🤷♂️ you just can’t … so what you said there is great . What those 2 said in this video are just opinions, no more than that 😂
I learned watching this video that I will not subscribe to this channel, and I would certainly not wish them to train me. They would ruin my voice. I'm sorry, but this review sounded extremely egotistical, as if there could not possibly be a singer out there superior to them, so they found phantom faults when the faults were with the reactors. Their egos (to put it mildly) got in the way of actually experiencing the gift that is Dimash.
@@ChaseandMelia Can't remember specifically; I just smiled to myself as you commented throughout, thinking, they just don't know yet. As I implied, my comment wasn't meant to be critical; you are new to Dimash, and most of his fans, myself included, have watched him for years and know every little detail about him. For this particular song, he was taking part in a competition of professional singers. He appeared as the first singer of the first episode, new to China with an audience of 100's of millions of people. He was so nervous and knew this was his chance to wow the masses. He had sung SOS many times before, and he knew not to pronounce the 's' in vis, but he did on this show. He is more than a master of his voice - breathing, tones, dynamics, etc.; more a conductor as if it were an instrument to be played. You will see that he often uses his hands and fingers to sing the most intricate notes. I hope you grow to appreciate not just his vocal talents but his humility and love of his country and the people of the world. All the best to you.
Yeah... but eating our words implies that we are saying things that we will regret. Chase stated a personal preference about vibrato but that’s not something that anyone should care about. 🤷🏻♂️
@@ChaseandMelia I am not going to go watch your whole video again and cite the specific areas you criticized. And I don't care if Chase liked his heavy vibrato or not, personal preferences are exactly that. Fine with me. I've watched 100's of reactions from vocal coaches and singers and I got a negative vibe from both of you particularly in the first half of your reaction. I realized you were new to Dimash and said I wasn't being critical because of that. And eating your words means that you may change your mind as you watch more Dimash; has nothing to do with regret. Chill, man. Dimash is all about love and peace - so am I.
You can't even imagine how many people will take issue with your comments. Some of the best vocal coaches, musicians, and singers in the world consider this particular song by Dimash a classic example of perfection. You guys really need to get a pulse because you don't have a clue.
Yup! I agree. Are these two simply amateurs? I’d love to see a reaction video from some of the top voice coaches reacting to this reaction video. Put them to shame!
Are you kidding me?!?!?! I you really know what your talking about?!?!?Every time he repeats a phrase it's always different, never the same. I am priviledged to hear this singer in my lifetime. Well, done with you guys.
He didn’t struggle. He is the best vocalist in the world. The song was written for a rock opera. Dimash knows what his voice can do. Is classically and contemporary trained. This song was to show his range. Which he reached an e6. Him being called the 6 octave man is correct. He can hit an d8. He rocketed to fame when this performance hit UA-cam. He is humble, kind, and loves his fans who are called”dears”. They are extremely in love with him and very protective of him. This show is held in China as a show competition for Chinese singers. He was invited as a dark horse. And landed second.!he can play numerous instruments and sing in 12 languages. Many of the performances on the show are awesome.
I almost choked when the word struggled came out I was like WHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT I mean geeez Dimash and struggle can't go in the same sentence together seriously 😩😩
They don't know enough about Dimash to understand every note is a choice... and nothing in his vast range is a "struggle". Give them time, and they'll soon realize this "vocal gymnastics" song is a middle-of-the-road performance for Dimash. Ogni Pietra will probably make their heads explode! All in good time...
@@Pegasus209 Not one second to think about the Meaning of the song. There are reasons he expresses distress through some notes. They are missing so much. Finally, finally they say something about who wrote it, but not the extreme emotion expressed by Dimash in this song ...there are reasons some places are lighter and some places heavier. I wont be back. They lack depth. ...Well people can mature... It is Dimash, so I wont say never.
Voice teachers who admire the average voice skills of BTS singers and criticize Dimash's phenomenal talent are not very trustworthy. Serious voice teachers, on the other hand, are reminded of how relaxed Dimash is when singing and how easily he manages his incredible range.
I just had to look this up and watched one of their reactions to BTS. I can't help but laugh 😅 They reacted with "wow" and "awesome" and facial reactions for the easiest things when watching BTS. And then talk about Dimash struggling and not even looking impressed with any of this. Must be a baby effect. When a baby takes his first step they are impressed even if it's wobbly. But the fastest runner in the world is just alright 🤣
It hurt me watching this lol. Dimash is the closest to a perfect singer I've ever seen. Everything he does is intentional and controlled. He is mind blowing!
Well, actually, he did fucked up once :) Funny thing: it's very possible, that famous D8 note may didn't happen if he suddenly didn't lose cord closure on a previous note :) Remember? He did this crazy high note note and suddenly gone silent. And then, he probably thought "oh shit, I f'ed up, I need to make them forget about it" and did this crazy D8 note :) I don't mean to take any credit from him - he's probably the best vocalist that walked the Earth, but he is still human :)
@@rfmmike6096 have you heard any of his more recent stuff? He's only gotten better and better since this performance (2017). Can you explain why you think he's overrrated? Exactly, plus it's seems like they don't know as much as they think, they also said on one note that he went off key, don't know what they heard, he wasn't off key.
Sorry, but I never thought I would see any reactor get so many dislikes on a DIMASH reaction, YOU won the top prize, if that is what you wanted. You are in a class all by yourselves. DIMASH rules.
"Sorry, but I never thought I would see any reactor get so many dislikes on a DIMASH reaction" You obviously did not go through enough reactions. There is a reaction by one Frenchman that did not like this performance at all because of Dimash's bad pronunciation of French and got almost entirely dislikes.
@@NomadFlow comments are my personal opinion and that was what I was giving, not aware of the one you mentioned. have a good day. Dimash has a 6 + octave range, he is an alien, a super human. Buy the way he has over 20 years of classical training and trust me, he never struggles. He is precisely choosing every note he sings!!!!
These two are just struggling to understand his techniques..This is 2 amateurs judging a master of his craft. Saying, "he struggled" I laughed out loud! 😅
No he cant sing all the notes on a piano. He is not a bass or an oktavist. And in a sense, the oktavists are just as impressive as Dimash. They are able to sing an octave below bass. And they are able to project these extremely low notes over an entire choir without any amplification (microphone). Listen to Glenn Miller - Do not reject me in my old age. He projects an unbelievable G1 with so much power and volume

Dimash is the best singer in the world....he makes no "mistakes' or 'struggles' Everything he does is a choice....I hope that if you listen to more of his music you will see this....He was invited to join his country's opera but he declined. he wants to mix genres...and is doing a great job..... I love how "vocal coaches" use reaction videos to critique and teach rather than react. And this is honestly the most critical video I've ever seen of Dimash. At the end of the day, Dimash could actually teach them a thing or 500.
Welcome to Dimash's world ! I have followed him and his singing 3 years now and I would say, I cannot even classify him. Whatever registers he sings, you feel like his "home" voice belongs to that register, whether baritone, tenor, countertenor, or even female soprano. Some coaches said he is tenor and countertenor, but again, most tenor and countertenor do NOT have that groundness, rich, bite in low chest voices like that, but if he is baritone, it's hard to believe he sings so relax and like a real female soprano. just hard to put him in any vocal register! Trust me, if you listen to his singing more with more performances, you will feel the same. He can go down to bass A1 E1 D1, and you feel he is so comfortable there, even on Staccati F6 with cleaned precised staccati, he sounds so comfortable, even in belting mixed voice, he is so relaxed for 20 seconds belting. This guy is the master of singings, any genres ( folk songs in many countries, pop ballad, rock, jazz, opera, classical, he mixed them beautifully in ONE song, slays all registers, 12 languages singing, vocal technique are the beast, jump and drop 2-3 octaves in a blink of eyes with seamless transition!
Dimash (26 years old from Kazakhstan) in addition to his exceptional natural talent, is backed by 20 years of musical academic training. He is an unusual, amazing performer in constant evolution and creativity. He also studied contemporary music, this 2020 he obtained the master's degree in musical composition, to continue later with the Doctorate in musicology. It is absolute ear. He plays various musical instruments; piano, drums, Dombra (traditional two-string instrument from Kazakhstan) Its genre is Neoclassical, combining classical singing with pop, rock, R&B, folk, jazz. Dimash speaks three languages, his native language;, Kazakh, and Russian and English the latter, in the learning s process. He is the person who didn't struggled after signing a wistle note for more then 5 seconds so respect that . He is the only one artist whom I have never seen struggling. He is the one who can sing D8 note which I think is impossible for normal people . He is like the person who does A5 note while chilling and dancing.
My point about your reaction here is about jealousy (I can tell with your expression). He covered this song. He nailed it? Do you like it? Did he do better than the original? I think next time please wear headphones 🎧
It's hard to give a reaction video, especially to an established artist, when you're not familiar with the scope of his work and the depth of the fan base. I don't fault the reviewers for not being aware of things that fans are. I also understand that a review is subjective. That said, the feeling I got from this review was that it showed me more about the reviewers than it did Dimash or what other singers could learn from him. It seemed like the "review" was a "critique" designed to show why the singer needed to be enlightened by your knowledge. Knowledge is a great thing. You two obviously know more about the technicalities of singing than I do or ever will. I would have taken more away from this if you'd have refrained from your personal tastes, which really, that's about you, and instead focused on what could be learned from watching this performance. You watched a young man go through a range practically unheard of and incorporate several different styles of voice. Instead of focusing on the big picture, it was about your preferences and suggestions and yes, you were apologetic and qualifying in places but the message was received loud and clear that you weren't there so much to appreciate this performance as to make it about you. 30 years of vocal experience is a great thing. How many years of human interaction and knowing where to insert your opinion and when to be quiet and when to just applaud and appreciate the amazing performance that it is. Sometime we shine the brightest in the reflection of the praise we give others, when it's deserved. I won't subscribe, but I may check back another time.
You argued that the review was a critique and then argued that they shouldn't give their opinions because you felt that the video was a critique rather than a review when it was a reaction and the entire point of reactions are giving your opinion. So your entire argument ends up being that you thought this video was going to be something and it wasn't. It's a reaction video, the point of which being that you give your reactions and initial opinions. That doesn't mean they have to like him or praise him. If you want to argue they should keep their opinions out of the video it wouldn't be a reaction. Largely, they just explained what they heard and why they did or didn't like it. You can not take personal taste out of music. Literally all of the choices made in music are based off of personal taste. Once you learn the techniques you have to choose how to use them and that's dictated completely by personal taste and opinion. This is exactly why art is so divisive. We aren't born knowing that to express fragility we need to be quiet and floaty sounding or anger as loud and staccato. If you wanted this to be a completely unbiased critique of him and also praise him then you should have looked for a review video and not a reaction. That's not on them, that's on you.
Hi, great to discover the both of you! Under what rock have you been living? 😂 Welcome in a world wíth Dimash! 😉 All his fans, his Dears, will educate you about him. Two things, he said he’s a tenor (although his range goes from A1 up to D8, off the piano!) . Furthermore it’s not falsetto but his headvoice you are hearing. It’s amazing, but true. He’s called the best vocalist on earth by all the vocal coaches online I have seen. For you, just react to three more songs and make up your mind! Some interesting things too is he’s singing in 12 languages and has two master Degrees in vocals and composing. He has so many other talents, you will discover! We believe he’s not from our universe! 🤣 Kind Greetings from this Dear from the Netherlands
We actually called him a Countertenor which is a different thing entirely. Countertenors have ranged from Baritone into lower Soprano. Also can you tell me the difference between head voice and falsetto? I would disagree that he is not using his falsetto. Countertenors are experts in using their falsetto.
@@ChaseandMelia Hopefully you'll react to Dimash's "Olimpico"/"Ogni Pietra" (ua-cam.com/video/dkPS6t84qg4/v-deo.html) which was composed for him. When he's singing in his higher register, would you say it's in head voice or falsetto?
@@ChaseandMelia I believe Dimash himself knows himself the best what he is 😅 but, besides that he’s capable to be a high soprano (and beyond) too 😉 Anyway, I prefer not to try to put Dimash in a box (and he will also not let us) and along the road most vocal coaches get confused by what they hear, because some things are just almost impossible to explain. And like April May wrote, please listen to more of Dimash (especially Olimpico/Ogni Pietra) and make up your mind/opinion again about the falsetto, because you haven’t seen anything of his capacities yet, believe me 🙏 btw many vocal coaches first think it’s his falsetto but they always take their words back. But besides all this about technical stuff I want to say again, I really liked your reaction!! Please keep on going, I subscribed because I enjoy others enjoying this one in a century talent! Bye!
This is Chase and as a tenor myself I’ve had a lot of experience with this question. Strictly speaking falsetto is when the very edge of the vocal fold is buzzing rather than the entire fold. Head voice is more about where the sound is resonating IMO. For years however, people have used these terms interchangeably, but in the end I don’t think that it is a very important distinction because it shouldn’t change how you approach the note. 🤷🏻♂️
yes, tip of the iceberg with Dimash. This was in 2017, when he was 22. He's 26 now and he's continued to improve. The song is theatrical, indeed, and intended to be extra dramatic. It comes from a 1980s Quebecois rock opera "Starmania" and tells of one young man's struggle with life. When you spoke of how it takes more air to sing quietly than loudly, you should listen to him sing 'Love Is Like a Dream". The intro is a master class.
@@ChaseandMelia Keep in mind that a lot of his recent stuff is written for him by Igor Krutoy and written to make use of his 7 octave range. Again its not designed for western audiences. On his official channel there is an entire concert, the kinetic voice concert, about 2.5hrs of amazing, including my favourite, Ogni Pietra which is best described as 'Popera'.
I can't believe that I heard the word "struggle" to describe Dimash ?!!! LIKE DIMASH IS THE BEST VOCALIST EVER IN THE HISTORY‼‼‼‼ I THINK YOU GUYS DIDN'T REALISE THIS...
The host of this great show competition among famous Chinese singers and the audience of about 500 professional musicians that serve as judges ( btw it is not easy to be chosen as a judge) ... ok back to the point... the host tried to insist on the kind of simpler arrangement, but Dimash did not agree, and they accepted his arrangement! Also he and his close friend Erlan Bekchurin who is a great arranger always create and he sings only own covers and Dimash himself composes the parts that he needs for his interpretation of any... thank you so much for your comments. If you will continue Dimash will surprise you in every song...
Like they've never heard Dimash. If they were truly music teachers, one or more of their students would have told them. If they're music teachers, I am Mr. Spock! Pathetic!
You won't be listening to his music on the radio or seeing him often on Western television, but this artist's fan base is larger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop stars. People will fight you online if you pronounce the wrong name, your fans will spend hours watching your videos, opening fan clubs around the world and leaving long comments on UA-cam with the story of each song. They are obstinate and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't? He doesn't need paid advertising because his fans will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he provides them to overcome depression, others say he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe he is an angel or a superhuman. If you send in that Michael Jackson had some diehard fans, Dimash fans, who call themselves Dears, are clearly above them all. As soon as I heard his voice, I was immediately impressed in 2017. No wonder his fans are obsessed, his voice is incredible and, at first glance, he also seemed like a very humble person. The 26-year-old Kazakhstan artist reached stardom for the first time after participating in some national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, taking second place in the Chinese program - I Am A Singer 2017-. In this show, he was the youngest participant to compete against established and professional Chinese artists. One of the songs I heard him sing was a popular "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse". A French song by Daniel Balavoine. I was immediately impressed by his incredible technique and delivery. His vocal training is formally classic, but he can sing pop songs extremely well. Your choice of original songs and covers is never obvious and always leaves the listener in awe. What shocks me the most is the use of the vocal fry technique. He manages to hit super low notes and jump to highs so perfectly, without ever failing. Above all, the most impressive feature of his voice is the use of the "whistle". I never heard a man use this technique before Dimash. Sorry Mariah, but her whistles are incredible. You just need to listen to his songs for yourself, because it is impossible to explain this talent with words. His vocal range is incredible. Its length is 6 octaves and 5 semitones, ranging from a low A1 to an incredible D8. Observing this, the highest note male record is an F # 8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones from him, I wonder if one day he would try to beat the record. Another thing that caught my attention, was the perfect pitch always impeccable . He is probably the only singer who has never been challenged on any score, which is why many people have given the nickname "Alien". But impeccable technique and interpretation are not Dimash's only qualities. We learned about his humanity at the -Best show in the world-, a reality show competition, where he competed in 2019. After a few episodes, when Dimash learned that he needed to compete with the kids, he decided to give up. He explained to the crowd that he was unaware of any competition with children when he signed the contract, and such an action would have been against his morale. Incredibly, that explanation was not included in the broadcast episode, which left us perplexed after listening to RuPaul, or I must call it the "Paul Rude" explosion. Dimash's resignation was, in my opinion, an altruistic and humble act. It takes a great man to give up his dreams to maintain his integrity, and that is what we saw in this incredible artist. The American show increased the popularity of the Kazakh singer abroad, so much so that one of his songs, in Kazakh language, debuted on MTV USA in October 2020. The love for his country and his honesty are always visible in all his performances. Each of his concerts always includes cultural aspects related to his country, such as the use of private instruments for accompaniment or traditional clothing and singing styles. I think the choice to sing in your native language was anything but casual. I believe that one of his goals is to increase the popularity and recognition of his country. After gathering my thoughts, I realized that I was right about my assumptions. Your last Instagram post just mentioned: It is necessary to understand that I have become who I am now, mainly thanks to Kazakhstan. Because I grew up in Kazakhstan, I ate Kazakh dishes, I studied with a Kazakh vocal educator, I was raised in a Kazakh family. And the main stimulus that moves me is my nation and my country! After all, I think we have now answered my previous question. What made this artist so close to his fans? And what does he have that others don't? An incredible voice is not enough today. Social media has brought artists closer to their audience, who want to make sure that whoever is following is someone to relate to. Artists like Dimash tend to gain millions of followers around the world, not only for their talent, which is definitely the main reason, but also for their humility and the way they interact with others. When people feel closer to an artist, they tend to want to know more about him. Dimash is talented enough, mysterious enough and, at the same time, so realistic that he could easily be your next-door neighbor. In a world where talent and simplicity often go hand in hand, Dimash is a real pleasure for everyone. For these reasons, I became a fan of the artist, not only admiring his art and technique, but also applauding a way he is dealing with his success. Greetings from Portugal
Is this really a serious analysis?! Dimash has captivated us all with his amazing talent and the humbility he has displayed both as an artist and person
I think you should watch the lyrics, because his techniques are connect to the meaning of sufferance, the notes takes us from hell to heaven. The hyper high note, open mouth, is the word "high". It is a story from a guy who wants to leave this world, that is too heavy and wonder about the heaven, "see from above" And the ah-ah-ah, technique is "staccato".
Oh lord...you're about to be educated by the best in the world. Everything he does is 100% deliberate. Many of his works are simply masterpieces. Enjoy the journey of Dimash.
@@christophergoh9261 Morons beign arrogant and ignorant? You cannot be serious. Listen - you liking Dimash = one thing. Its like apple. Them giving their opinion how he sings or wherever they heard something that could be perfected = another thing. Its like orange. You cannot dislike orange because you like apples bro. They are CLEARLY intelligent and know their stuff around music. And if you pay close attention they said "Its very impressive very talented" like 90% of the time. 10% was like struggled on this tiny part but if you pay close attention they were still impressed by his range and transition. Conclusion? They dont judge. Thats the best part. You obviously love Dimash and personally I dont like his singing much. He is incredibly talented, sure, but I dont like his style. Best part of them is they dont give a shit about his style. They gave you their opinion on his singing from technical side, not the subjective opinion. You can dead hate me for not sharing your opinion but you are downright idiot if you hate them for not sharing your opinion. They never said they dont like him.
@@martinkrajscak4381 Uh, you want to try that again? I worked in law enforcement for over 12 years, 7 of which I spent in the courts. I've had plenty of arrogant people in my court, many of whom were also ignorant of what the law they were accused of breaking, really says, and they thought they would skate on it because some idiot "sovereign citizen" in another state told them how they could beat it. Being arrogant and ignorant at the same time is just scary dangerous. Notice, not a single mention of a singer was made as of yet in this comment. You are trying to apply a false narrative, since his like or dislike of the subject matter has no reflection on what the OPs said in their review of the performance. He didn't write their material (that we know of). No apples, no oranges. Only one big stinking onion, and that was this video. And no, I am no fanboy of Dimash's. This is the sole performance of his that ever resonated with me. Not even other performances of the same song have reached that level. These "vocal coaches" should not be teaching anyone how to sing, if they can't listen to a song, and if in doubt do a little research to see if it was just them hearing it wrong. There have been millions of views of this performance across YT on different channels, and I've never heard the ignorance these two spewed on any other reaction from singing coaches. Most of them have been blown away by Dimash, even those hearing him for the first time. I'm not a singer, but that doesn't mean I am incapable of an unbiased opinion, even if it's a negative opinion on an artist or group I love.
@@DarianCaplinger I dont understand as much as a tiny piece of what youre saying in the first half including this false narrarive thing. I was simply applying a metaphore which any low intelligent person easily gets. For the second half I am once again gonna point out - watch their body language and listen to what they say. They loves it and even while thinking it was written for floor. And from my pov if they had any shred of negative constructive criticism it means they understand their thing. If they only open their mouths and look for nice words of compliments thats either questionable vocal coach or nor VC at all just baiting people with title. If you think about it I can make a vid where I watch the performance and put VOCAL COACH/SINGER REACTS. Your support of people calling them idiots simply because they have a thing to mention and they dont only open their mouths and babble wow disgusts me on the deepest level because yes I have met people who completely disregarded my arguments before simply for not being able to comprehend them and calling me idiot made the whole thing easier. Im not gonna waste time on such essay again dw.
A lot of vocal coaches/teachers reacted to this and none can really explain and break it down like Tara Simon Studios. She’s very detailed and demonstrates the difference. You should check her out. I find it odd that you don’t know he’s classically trained.
Around 10:12 you said he struggled to flip. I'm not a singer, but I've been listening to this for 2 years and this little 'push' always struck as HIGHLY stylistic and full of meaning -- thus, intentional.
Wow. The only people who I’ve ever heard listen to Dimash and be like, “meh. ho hum”. When the day comes that you are also playing to crowds of tens of thousands, you can tell us all “We told you so”
May I suggest you two spend a few hours listening to every other top reactor of Dimash singing this song. It will be a great learning curve for you. Those who critique the world's best make us Dears cringe.
THANKS for your reactions to Dimash!!!!..... Dimash was completely unknown in China when his sang this song of the Chinese Show “TheSinger” at 2017, his first performance. Begin with B2 to E6. The following morning his life change He woke to find out He’d had 600 millions hits on Weibo the Chinese Instagram. He is now a megastar in Kazakhstan, China and Russia. And has fans-Dears- over the world. He sold out The Barkley Center in NewYork19,000 last dec 2019, (I was there 👏🏻❤️👏🏻). With an incredible 6+ octaves range and the ability to sing any style of music. He is unquestionably the Best Singer/Performer in the world. Greetings from a Mexican Dear! 👏🏻😘🇲🇽
@@dimashtastic yes!.....All Dears look forward to 2022 opening of Dimash concert dates around the world. I had tickets for Frankfurt and Prague in March 2020 ... very sad ...😩😭
👏👍🌷💕 Thank you! Dimash was classically trained as a tenor at the Aktobe Music College, then earned a bachelor’s in jazz and contemporary music at the National University of Art in Astana, then a Master’s in composition. Presently working on his doctorate. He sings in every range, every style and every genre, and likes to mix them up. SOS d’un Terrien en Détresse is a ding from the 1978 French Canadian rock opera Starmania, written by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon specifically for the voice of Daniel Balavoine. Dimash pushed its limits even further. Would love to see you react to more Dimash: Sinful Passion; Across Endless Dimensions; Love is Like a Dream.
I think you may want to see the full spectrum of his abilities. This is no way negative but you two are new and a little bit clueless. Dimash is being esteemed From Celebrity vocal coaches, Opera Singers, and world renown producers as the great vocalist in the world. So I’ll give you that. This song may not of been your cup of tea but.... wait. If your in to full opera with pop elements, check out Olympico from Arnu concert. Enjoy the journey. New subscriber for sure. Peace out. ✌🏻
@@ChaseandMelia Thank you for checking out Dimash and I'm glad you will be reacting to more of his performances despite some impolite comments. His fans ("Dears") (I am one) are very protective of him and have a hard time hearing anything negative about him. But, he is an extraordinary and unique vocalist who is well worth a listen. He has multi millions of fans in about 124 countries and is a superstar in some countries but still not very well known in the West. He is probably the most analyzed singer in the world by vocal coaches and other singers because he can do things that no other singer can. He is also a true student and lover of music and was immersed in music since the day he was born. His parents are both well-known singers in Kazakhstan and he started his musical education at about the age of 5 when it was discovered that he had absolute pitch. He won a national piano competition at the age of 6. As others probably mentioned, he has degrees in both classical and contemporary music, a masters in composition, and is currently getting his Ph.D. in musicology (literally the study of music). He does plan things out extensively so it is rare that you will see him make a mistake. His compositions and his performances are creative and innovative with an ear toward musicality and euphony. He likes to incorporate different genres and vocal styles into his songs, and often melds East and West. He is a master of dynamics. He trains his voice for hours every day. You won't see such dedication to improvement very often. He has close to 7 octaves. He has sung in 12 different languages because he wants to pay his respects to the original compositions. He plays at least 7 instruments. And, despite his prodigious talents, he is a remarkable human being. He is kind, generous, humble, and patriotic. He gives a lot of his time and money to various charitable causes to little or no fanfare. That's the reason we love him so much. Sorry for the length of this post, but I wanted to give you a sense of who he is and why his fan base is so large and diverse.
We didn't come to hear about your friend, the countertenor. We didn't come to hear a flawless performance get nitpicked. We didn't come to hear someone confuse a deliberate artistic decision with "struggling." We came for one reason: to re-live the joy and release we experienced when we watched this performance for the first time. And....we didn't get it.
I think why these two are getting so much pushback is how they come off when they talk. Obviously, there are things that Dimash can do to get better, but it is how these two bring it up. It is almost like they know everything and can pull off what he does. Yes it is okay to pin point critique, but you have to balance that with positives, because this performance is filled with magnificence. This performance was remarkable and yet they treat it as just good or okay. I just would have liked to see more humility from these two.
I was eating while watching this and when you stated he struggled near the end of the video my food spewed everywhere. Dimash never ever has to struggle. Every note has its purpose
De acuerdo el nunca se sale de tono nunca, es ms compitiendo con profesionales les gano aqui. Si se sale de tono te aseguro no gana aqui. Es el mejor concurso y con mas nivel del mundo. Dimash nunca falla
he was intentionally shaking his head during his vibrato's to build drama in the performance since it's for TV, he wasn't struggling and idk doesn't sound heavy to me... also no he wasn't struggling to hit that note, he's performed S.O.S. live a million times and he does the same thing each time... Also he's showing "everything" in 1 song because this song is about being out of this world.
I tried to hear your critiques again. But, unfortunately, you don't seem to come across as experts but more like amateurs. The both of you feel very strong in your critiques but are so far off the mark that I would think it makes some people question your teaching capability.
They can't even hit those notes that Dimash was hitting. The guy even tried at some parts of this review and sounded funny. Also, it seemed that they did not know the F# mix that Dimash did twice in his performance
@@FantasticEastic Oh please, they complimented him so much and the moment they dare to say anything slightly negative you instantly hit the "oh they're just jealous" button. You can disagree with them but at least be reasonable
These must be the first ‘voice teachers’ to not understand a thing about classical/operatic stylings. Even a lay person can identify these styles immediately. I don’t know what school they went to, but they wasted their money.
he has male, female, bird, dog, dolphin, electric guitar, violin, flute, auto tuned, alien voice so that's was an easy things for him... by the way he is from Area51.
As vocal coaches you’re not earning credibility points here. Dimash is a perfectionist. Every note he sings is intentional. The thing is, critique for the sake of critique goes nowhere. you should rewatch your own reaction and realize how absurd your comments are... His vibrato is heavy and almost off key??? Come on! And who pauses in the middle of a run? And the last part about this being something you expected only proves how insincere your intentions were. Probably looking for likes and followers...
Hi guys, thanks for your comments. I know that you’re getting a lot of hate. But I have to say, regardless of stylistic preferences, it’s hard to not admire Dimash. He’s a vocal prodigy. I hope you listen to other of his songs, and see his evolution. This was an extraordinary performance. Also, the song is about the distress of an artist who feels he doesn’t belong to this world, and is happier in his fantasies. The lyrics start with “why do I live, why do I die?” and set the tone for this emotional song that Dimash narrates very well.
Wow, yeah, I have watched at least a dozen reactions to dimash singing sos by vocal coach’s. This is the first and only time I’ve heard him described as struggling or too heavy or really any other negative reaction. And these other reaction videos were much more in depth on exactly what he was doing and when, tongue, larynx positions, etc and the number of notes he went through in just 10 seconds. A lot of them spoke about the extreme difficulty of doing this, but how he did it effortlessly. One vocal coach paused the video to point out the high note dimash reached, only to pause again a minute later to laugh and point out that this time dimash reached a note higher than his keyboard, his keyboard didn’t go that high. These vocal coach’s (and some professional singers) seemed to know a lot more about singing and the technical aspects then the two of you. And not one of them felt he struggled at any point in this particular performance, (“perfect” is how I heard it described more than once) it’s funny how the less knowledgeable coach’s find more to criticize than the better and more experienced coach’s. By the way, this song is considered to be impossible to sing. By one person anyway, but dimash did it. He’s not just a natural talent, he has developed his talent, and he uses his eyes, his hands, every part of him in his performance, even the lighting for crying out loud. The better vocal coach’s pick up on this right away, and the fact that neither of you even noticed this is quite telling.
Not to mention he also arranged the musicians for this song to his own style. Good luck finding singers like that in America. The majority of American singers are trash tbh
Thank you for sharing that! A beautiful part of the piece and performance I completely missed being unable to speak and translate French!

THIS. i dread/cringe (sometimes literally) every single time i hear someone attempt to place dimash into one particular vocal type. he does defy standard classifications, & most vocally well informed people eventually pick up on this (although i don't hold it against anyone when they are hearing him for the first time & try to make a call prior to hearing more of his range). if anything, i hope it serves as a humble reminder to not be too quick to judge, nor decide you know something too quickly...which a lot of people are throwing at these two individuals.
how can anyone expect them to revisit dimash's insane talent if all they receive is spite & vitriol for trying?
i'm frustrated all around, with people for making quick assumptions about dimash's capabilities, & also at the dears, who really ought to know better than to behave like this whole comment section is.
You must be the first two people in the whole world to use the word struggle for Dimash...
I think it would be a bit silly to say that even the best singers don't struggle from time to time.
@@ChaseandMelia That wasn't a struggle. That was intentional.
@@ChaseandMelia True, but in that case he wasn't struggling. That was intentional.
Si, es intencionado claro sin ninguna duda eso esta fuera de toda discusion
@@ChaseandMelia That's true, and he might struggle with the odd thing in private but I can honestly say I've never heard him struggle with anything live.....ever. The man defies classification, this is a person who has sung with the likes of Andrea Bocelli and Lara Fabian and honestly outshone them.
He wasnt struggling he purposefully sung it that way, I'd like to hear you guys sing like he can
Since we deal in subjectivity, let me tell you why I did not enjoy your reaction: guys, you can't see the forest for the trees !

I attended his Solo «Arnau-Envoy» Concert at Barclays NYC, USA in December 2019, it was an awesome experience.

He sounds like a banshee
So what??...I love Dimash and it's OK for these coaches to critique🙄
I think the problem is that these reactors have to use a lot if intellect rather than engaging directly with the music.
I got an impression that they were quite admired him.
Like watching two amateurs critique Michelangelo, Beethoven, Itzak Perlman, or Spielberg.
He didn't struggle dude, he did it on purpose, he can easily make a 23 second belting note with insane riff, run, melisma and glissando added to it :)
I agree, he wasn’t struggling, he was using a belting style in that part of the song as a contrast to the earlier falsetto/ head voice. It’s to showcase different range and tones.
Definitely did it on purpose
Yea he does it the same way in so many performances. On purpose
"Dimash"..."struggle"..."out of tune"...words that should never be put into one sentence😤
😂😂
Saw this and just stopped watching the video..
Exactly!!!!!!!
Lol 😆
Everyone has the right to have an opinion, conversely, everyone else has the right to think it's stupid. I'm not a vocal teacher/coach, but I've seen enough reactions by those who are to believe that Dimash is about as close to flawless as it gets.
Strugling??? LOL you both are so jeolous 😂😂😂😂
Hear hear .....thank you so so true👍🏼🤗 best regards from a french dear 🙏🤗
Thank you for saying this💜
Can you imagine having to explain about vocals to a vocal coach? Lol
I did rather scratch my head about that: "we've never heard of him and we've never seen this video before but we're going to point out all the [things we think he did wrong] now"
One thing to remember about Dimash, is that everything he does is on purpose and not a mistake.
... especially that d8, right?
just a reminder that no matter how talented (incredibly, almost defiantly so, in dimash's case), one may be, *absolutely no one is perfect one hundred percent of the time*
let dimash be human. & let others explore his talents without such heavy criticism.

It's hilarious to watch people who can't touch the toes of Dimash in terms of talent criticizing him.
You always do a spectacular CV for Dimash. Kudos.
Thanks Fluffys Mom, nice to see you again
Excellent CV, his Mother and Father couldn’t have done better! We Dears love Dimash, he is in a class of his own. I think also, this song being a competition entry, needed to show as much of his talent as possible to allow him to go further.
Thank you so much for a such presentation of our beloved Dimash!!!♥️
Such a good presentation! Only a little correction: Dimash's album iD went 5 times platinum in a day. Probably it has gained even more since then...
What did we say in our reaction that was “incorrect”?
I think it was more not really understanding what Dimash does. Your opinion doesn’t make it incorrect. I just meant you’re going to hear a lot of things explained by his “Dears”. I am a Dear also. Bev
I think what Jim said was Dimash make alot of correction to this song thru out the years. This was 2017. He didnt say that ur reaction is incorrect.
You are wrong!!!! He is the best singer in the world and you wish you can sing like him.
I can’t believe you cut him off in the middle at the finale. You haven’t really allowed the song it’s performance.
Your reactions are all yours. Thanks for listening.
Dimash is a treasure in this world to millions.
I thought the same thing. How do you cut the song right at the most impressive part to derp about nothing
I gave them another chance with a different artist and they talk ENTIRELY too much. You don't need to pause every 6 seconds to talk about something, let the song play a little first so you get a feel for what's going on instead of commenting on every other note

@@devamail1 Who said it wasn't.
I completely agree with you
You are so correct. What those 2 said in this video are just opinions, no more than that 😂
So true
Right!
Man, you two will be eating your words soon. I say this endearingly. Hope you enjoy your Dimash journey.
Which words do you think we will eat?
Cindy McCaffrey, I thought the exact same thing. We’ll see how the future reactions go. And I hope there will be more.

Not one second to think about the Meaning of the song. There are reasons he expresses distress through some notes. They are missing so much. Finally, finally they say something about who wrote it, but not the extreme emotion expressed by Dimash in this song ...there are reasons some places are lighter and some places heavier.

Have to be the most lukewarm first ever reaction on Dimash. Even Dimash must be wondering where he struggled during the entire song 😅😅
LOL
Their faces are what jealousy looks like.

Funny to see you interpreting stylistic choices as "he is struggling". He has sung the the exact same way on several SOS performances
You confuse choice with a mistake. You may disagree about a stylistic choice, but don’t confuse it with a mistake.

It hurt me watching this lol. Dimash is the closest to a perfect singer I've ever seen. Everything he does is intentional and controlled. He is mind blowing!
Its their opinion,not dimash fanclub
Well, actually, he did fucked up once :) Funny thing: it's very possible, that famous D8 note may didn't happen if he suddenly didn't lose cord closure on a previous note :) Remember? He did this crazy high note note and suddenly gone silent. And then, he probably thought "oh shit, I f'ed up, I need to make them forget about it" and did this crazy D8 note :) I don't mean to take any credit from him - he's probably the best vocalist that walked the Earth, but he is still human :)
Technique wise this is simply untrue, it confuses me why he's this overrated.
@@z483gk correct. Even Dimash makes mistakes sometimes. These guys just nitpick everything though.

Sorry, but I never thought I would see any reactor get so many dislikes on a DIMASH reaction, YOU won the top prize, if that is what you wanted. You are in a class all by yourselves. DIMASH rules.
"Sorry, but I never thought I would see any reactor get so many dislikes on a DIMASH reaction"
You obviously did not go through enough reactions. There is a reaction by one Frenchman that did not like this performance at all because of Dimash's bad pronunciation of French and got almost entirely dislikes.

DIMASH sings every note on the piano keyboard and a few off the piano.
That D8 off the piano is mind blowing.

Dimash is a teacher who takes over the emotionality of the character, the story he tells us to express it in addition to his voice, his body language, his intonation, his facial expressions and his hands. Dimash becomes the protagonist of the story, he not only interprets it, he lives it, he feels it and then he delivers it in the spectacular way that characterizes it.
He has transcended borders, religion, languages, cultures, gender, ages, profession, has awakened in those who connect with his art an awareness of global brotherhood of respect for people and countries. Greetings from Nicaragua 🇳🇮
He is the person who didn't struggled after signing a wistle note for more then 5 seconds so respect that . He is the only one artist whom I have never seen struggling. He is the one who can sing D8 note which I think is impossible for normal people . He is like the person who does A5 note while chilling and dancing.
Dimash is not just talented. But he's a master.
For real.
My point about your reaction here is about jealousy (I can tell with your expression). He covered this song. He nailed it? Do you like it? Did he do better than the original? I think next time please wear headphones 🎧
He did not struggle.. He is a master, just appreciate it ..
They can't. lol
They’re jealous, so their egos will never give him a compliment!
That’s the same reason I will NOT subscribe to this channel.
You've said exactly what was on my mind
@@blu5018 thanks. Of all the opinions I've ever heard, yours is certainly one of them.
Hi, great to discover the both of you!
Under what rock have you been living? 😂 Welcome in a world wíth Dimash! 😉
All his fans, his Dears, will educate you about him.
Kind Greetings from this Dear from the Netherlands
True
You have to remember this is a singing competition. Your first song may be your last so you have to show all of you as much as possible in every song.
Even 5-Star restaurants find that 1 diner who thinks the food was OK. 🤣
So true 🤣 hard to please everyone right?
yes, tip of the iceberg with Dimash.
Wow! I can’t wait to hear more recent recordings! Thanks for the info!
Yes..beautiful dimash's lower registers
If you are so easily critical of Dimash, you probably make your voice students cry with what you find fault with in their technical abilities.
Very cool! Thanks for the info! 🙏🏼

Your last Instagram post just mentioned:
It is necessary to understand that I have become who I am now, mainly thanks to Kazakhstan.
Wow! Thank you very much for your comments!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 You are kazakh? You from Kazakhstan?
Is this really a serious analysis?!
Dimash has captivated us all with his amazing talent and the humbility he has displayed both as an artist and person
I think you should watch the lyrics, because his techniques are connect to the meaning of sufferance, the notes takes us from hell to heaven. The hyper high note, open mouth, is the word "high". It is a story from a guy who wants to leave this world, that is too heavy and wonder about the heaven, "see from above"
And the ah-ah-ah, technique is "staccato".
Oh lord...you're about to be educated by the best in the world. Everything he does is 100% deliberate. Many of his works are simply masterpieces. Enjoy the journey of Dimash.
I agree....I find these two morons completely arrogant and ignorant. I don’t like them at all..
@@christophergoh9261 Stop being an annoying fanboy
He shrugs and says, "It's pretty cool..."
A lot of vocal coaches/teachers reacted to this and none can really explain and break it down like Tara Simon Studios. She’s very detailed and demonstrates the difference. You should check her out. I find it odd that you don’t know he’s classically trained.
That is odd and makes me wonder about credentials.
Angel Azzarra is my favorite Dimash reactor. She's a professional Opera singer, a technique nerd and a lot of fun.
Around 10:12 you said he struggled to flip. I'm not a singer, but I've been listening to this for 2 years and this little 'push' always struck as HIGHLY stylistic and full of meaning -- thus, intentional.
Definitely intentional.

Struggle is not really the right word to describe this...he is so flawless in all his performances and so easy for him to do those runs and ranges
I think you may want to see the full spectrum of his abilities. This is no way negative but you two are new and a little bit clueless. Dimash is being esteemed From Celebrity vocal coaches, Opera Singers, and world renown producers as the great vocalist in the world. So I’ll give you that.

We didn't come to hear someone confuse a deliberate artistic decision with "struggling." I think why these two are getting so much pushback is how they come off when they talk.
Yeah, i kind of doubt a little that they are vocal teachers.. if they were they would know how difficult and how insane what dimash done in this song
You know what they say..."Those who can't, teach." Perfect example.
I was eating while watching this and when you stated he struggled near the end of the video my food spewed everywhere. Dimash never ever has to struggle. Every note has its purpose
Hope it didn't make too much of a mess
De acuerdo el nunca se sale de tono nunca, es ms compitiendo con profesionales les gano aqui. Si se sale de tono te aseguro no gana aqui. Es el mejor concurso y con mas nivel del mundo. Dimash nunca falla
That was comical.
Me too... haha... i heard dimash struggle but not this one hahahha
The voice of man is superior as “ear candy”
Imo
he was intentionally shaking his head during his vibrato's to build drama in the performance since it's for TV, he wasn't struggling and idk doesn't sound heavy to me... also no he wasn't struggling to hit that note, he's performed S.O.S. live a million times and he does the same thing each time...

Wow! Amazing to watch these two critique Dimash. Won't be returning to your channel.
Or hear me out, they actively chose not to pick up on it…
