Funniest thing happened to me on my way to KBD. As soon as I teleported in with my Burning amulet, there was a PKer waiting for me. I should have died but when he went in for the AGS spec, he attacked the black knight that was sitting there next to me. Out of nowhere another PKer swoops in and starts attacking there guy that attacked me. I just sat there frozen trying to log out, awe struck.
@@Felcington I try to stay out of the wild. But I often go there for clue steps. Got pk'd with nothing of value, lost the clue. The pker got nothing. That's a pretty trashy person. I understand the risk, but pkers are trash

I suggest you use Ghorrock teleport instead of Burning amulet. It teleports you to the obelisk close the gate so you can see pkers before they see you.

If I could make a suggestion, in the description put the Wiki link for the Boss you are killing it would be really handy as its useful to refer back to for specific information like drops etc. Thanks again for these, super useful!
If you have bad luck like me and get a KBD that only spams his breath attacks then consider ranging him at a certain distance, helped me a ton on my black dragon slayer task and it made my trips last longer (No suicide method btw)
If you have never been to KBD before here’s a very useful tip. If you usually move your character by clicking on the mini map. DONT DO THAT ON YOUR FIRST TRIP. If you click inside the gate, but the gate is closed you will be stuck in the wildnerness and PKers will constantly close that gate to abuse new players.
my def 77 str 73 & attack 73! I had to escape because no food remaining. King black dragon had only about 10 hitpoints left but i didn't want to risk. I saw at least 3 people there, and i'm not going back for a while!
Not that I dont totally love your voice and all, but you should totally add a timestamp to skip to the mechanics explained portion of the fight. I dont need to hear skill reqs or gear/inv setups, I just wanna know what I need to be doing to not die and get most kills here :V great guides and vids either way

I just kill KBD when i get assigned. black dragon task so you get boost from slayer helm/black mask. It helps a lot with dps. I do believe you get increased drop chance for pet on task as well
I remember you used to be able to kill king black dragons and just trade across the water on the island in the fishing village southwest of white wolf mountain but an update made it so you needed to be right next to someone to trade with them. It killed the long and awesome tradition of just getting monk robes and training on the dragons. It was difficult killing just one so the amount of food you'd have to bring through druid village dungeon made it too much hassle. So lame they changed that
Wouldn't a zam hasta be a better melee wep to use over any whip? Since its weak to stab and zam hasta is one of the best stab weps in the game aside from the upgraded version(lance).
Yes it would be. But these are beginners guides for people with lower cash stacks. So I try to make the setups cheaper. More experienced players would know to upgrade.
Idk if its luck but I feel like I do better with survival using the magic defense prayer instead of melee protect Also, the higher your magic level, the better for the higher magic defense
Only useful for the Heads for the Black Slayer Helm or the pet. Once I got the black slayer helm I stopped bothering, brutal black dragons are just to good.
i like this guide but one mistake is buriniogn amulet is a really bad tp for kdb sue to it bieng a pk hgotspot the safer bet is a little mroe expensive but its using ghorrock teleport tabs and running eats. 100% safer
The mage will always hit. It’s impossible to protect from completely. Make sure you’re using an antifire shield and potion. Stand close and use protect from melee (even if ranging). This way he will use melee attacks as well as mage so you won’t get so many mage attacks in the mix since melee attacks will come too.

@@gsmith020 67 range 50 defence 63 hp Getting 2 kills max per trip, how you are getting 2 kills max is mind boggling. How are you fighting the kbd that may affect it.
I remember when old school RuneScape was just RuneScape I was killing the KBD before he got the poison breath attack so he was easy with protect from melee and anti fire pots so he did 0 dmg to me a jagax mod showed up he had the gold crown and ask me if that's the only attack he does and I said yes then he left not long after that KBD got a revamp
@@jackcarlson8875 Of course I was talking about newer players. Those that are focused on boss training, pet hunting and kbd heads. Sure the money ain't good but that's for veterans that could care less if they get a 1m drop since they are banking at end game content.
Because the KBDs three magic attacks are unblockable. The damage can be reduced by using antifire potions, but not full negated. They also cannot be prayed against. You stand within melee range to mix in melee hits, so he's not constantly using those attacks on you.
KBD is pretty much useless. You can't take too much good stuff with you because there's a fuck ton of PKers camping the teleport and the loot is garbage.
Idk why people still make guides out of video ideas??? Every single guide has been made you tell the same things as in others or you give even less info there are 500 billion guides on how to do anything when almost nothing or nothing changes to these bosses so why make another one

Teleported there for the first time. Saw a pker. Log out. Tried another world. Combo AGS spec from level 126. Not going back.

There’s no increased drop chance for any pet on task except for Jad and Zuk. All other drop rates remain the same.

One thing I like about the KBD is you can never completely block damage from him. They should do that for most bosses..unblockable, uncampable.
I’ve got the melee stats but my range is just got to 78 should I just go the melee route till my range is up?

No, it's not. The hasta is better DPS. I just used the whip because its a cheaper alternative for beginners.

How do you do KBD if you’re a pure? No anti dragon shield?
You only have to start the quest. which you CAN do as a pure. Once you start the quest, you're able to use the antifire shield and potions.

Yes. The lair itself is not considered in the wilderness.

(this is for doing kbd with a team) 61 range and enough hp to tank 2-3 max hits. I recommend 75+hp but 60 hp will do fine
