I did the same. I do play in 4K but i downscale to 1080p when I render the video. 4K video file sizes are ridiculous. My menus are set to increase the size by 50%
@@AsukaYenOSRS Mine are 100%. Idk might make people happy to make them bigger. Just a suggestion! this is the first video of yours I watched and I enjoyed it.

A good recommendation while in the tunnels is to kill 2 skeletons and 1 bloodworm. After killing the final brother this will put you at 86% complete. in most cases I find these as the spawn just by going through the doors to the middle. pretty easy to do and avoids bolt racks 100% of the time and gets you pretty close to the wanted 88%
I'm 70 def and use a gbody, d legs, rune kite, occult, trident, nezzy helm, c brace, blessed d hide boots. Bring a range switch for ahrim, and fill your inv with wines, and one p pot in case you have dharok in the crypt. Pray on Dharok, Karil, and Ahrim. The other brothers you can tank.
You forgot the best setup: elite void mage and ranged with blowpipe. Ranged with blowpipe and void is definitely faster. Melee isn't required at all for barrows. Also, having two sets of regular armor is just way too heavy, and you'll likely run out of energy in the crypt.
The best way to get to Barrows is with the Nexus in your player-owned house. You need 72 construction 83 magic and 60% Arceuus favour 1000 blood rune and 2000 law and soul runes. Now all you need are house teleports. And with an Ornate rejuvenation pool you can make fast bank trips and start another run.
It'd be nice if the item loadouts came with labels for people who don't know every piece of gear and are looking for what items to go for before starting.
what i do is i hop to world 330 when im done with a run then use house teletab, exit enter a maxed house and recharge then teletab to barrows. good guide overall!

its not though. I think this guys lost touch with reality recommending that gear set up. I like the safespotting guide but the full graceful is too much. He missed the fact in the beginning that they have no magic defense meaning you can go in full bandos and still hit max
@@KillaDot909 "Lost touch with reality" did you even watch the fucking video and listen to what he said? And do you think that people who don't even know how to run barrows are gonna be max level mains with 100b bank? Bandos is 40m. The point of graceful is for people, like he said, who don't have max construction and a house to restore at, so that they can keep their weight down and keep farming barrows more efficiently. And he literally talked about their magic defense in the video. I rather much keep my run energy up, then switch to armor that DOESN'T MATTER ANYWAY SINCE YOU USE PROTECT PRAYERS AND DON'T TAKE ANY DAMAGE REGARDLESS. Hello, Looking for some advice here. I'm a level 67 mage with the following stats: 40 att, 47 str, 51 def, 40 range, 44 prayer, 49 hp, and 76 mage. I have full mystic, farseer helm, anti dragon fire shield and trident of the seas. Am I okay to kill everything with just mage or do I need to incread my range and melee stats before doing these runs?
As long as you have all the protects from you're usually good, the obby shield may be a better option for you but it depends how much cash you have, apart from karil and maybe ahrim you'll be fine maging these runs, leave out karil if you want to make it easier for you, but as long as you have prayer you're sound
this looks honestly way easier then The rat king tbh. i've got 70 in my combat and ranged/magic but i guess its only easy because of my stats/gear. but this looks honestly fun to do and the loot seems juicy
is the leaf bladed axe viable as a cheap alternative for level 70, it has a way larger str bonus than d scim and is actually faster than normal battle axes
Honestly any melee weapon with a similar attack speed to the dragon scimitar or leaf bladed battle axe will work fine. The monsters in the catacombs are pretty weak.
@@OTRory some of us dont want to spend real money for members, so we buy bonds but since bonds are expensive as heck we dont have much money left. Also, not everyone has 90 in all skills
OK I'm a complete noob to barrows and osrs gear in general because I've just been skilling to make money and this guide was not friendly for me at all but I'm assuming it's because I'm supposed to do barrows later, I'm combat level 65
So do you kill a brother, loot their chest and move on to the next or do you kill all the brothers then loot their chests (or one chest total) - never tries this before
No. It's not considered safe. You will keep your untradables and 3 most valuable items. Everything else will be on the ground and you'll have to go back and get it.
The gear i use is specifically for cheapskates such as myself. I use monk robes, adamant crossbow (i heavily recommend a rune, its just that i dont have the rang lvl lol), mystic hat, shoes and gloves because the wizard hat wont give u much magic bonuses, green d'hide chaps and vambraces, snakeskin body, a glory and an ava's accumulator so i dont lose alot of my precious adamant arrows. Monkfish is as good as any other food (especially since sharks are waaaay more expensive right now). However, this setup will only work with people that have done underground pass since that quest is VERY important as it hits like crazy for only 50 mage!. i cant imagine this setup being more than 300k
This is my set up and seems to be the cheapest and most effective (for me) I use no prayer pots (take 2 with me just incase though) I use iban blast and take black dhide, top and bottom, obby helm, d boots tok shield, rune c bow, board bolts, d legs, granite body, (upgraded to archers ring recently but warrior worked fine lol) obby cape (cba to get fire cape don’t kill me) I use barrow tele and lummy tele (close to alter), with full prayer I Kill arhim first while prayer mage then easily kill him then move on to Karil with the remaining prayer and tank the rest with food this way no prayer gets used (unless Karil or arhim tunnel which I use 1 sip in that case) then tele to lummy use the bank underneath the castle and tele lummy again regen prayer then back to barrows and always make more than what I use - hope this can help somebody because I haven’t seen this strategy yet
So lets say for gear... I have 74 magic 64 ranged 70 attack 74 str 66 des 52 prayer For sets: Ranged: Uhmm red dragon hide with rune crossbow and addy bolts and fury amulet Magic: Magic smoke staff and full mystic and occult necklace melee: whip/sara sword(for spec) Fighter torso, neit helm, bandos tass, d boots, combat brace and a d'defender with obby cape and a berserker ring Now i have never done barrows before and i do have some expensive items so im abit afraid.. Can anyone if you have the time say if what i have is ok for barrows runs and what should i bring from this equipment😅 I'd really appreciate it.
You can take all of that. Just bring your best gear you can for each attack style and use it. It is a safe boss/minigame. If you die, you'll keep your 3 most valuable items and untradable items. You'll have one hour to get back to your stuff to pick it up, just like normal.
Well no, because then you'd ONLY get the chance to receive ahrim's items from the chest. Which would be like a 1 in 102 chance. So you're throwing out all the chances to get other items 1 in 17 times if you kill all the brothers. Plus, ahrims hood and staff are very cheap. So you'd just be drastically lowering the GP/hour if you did that.
What if I was and Ironman and I specifically wanted a certain brothers gear? Wouldnt it be better then to only kill the one brother and then get the rest of my bonus from mobs in the cave?
You could look at it that way. But, your pieces would be very few and far between. If you were looking for a certain brothers gear, it'd be more like 1 in 102 chests you get a piece. Probably better to just kill them all and get lucky on some double chests.
trident of the sea max hit 34 (38 imbued) 407gp cast - 99 magic trident of the svamp max hit 38 (40) imbued 621 gp cast - 99 magic tome of fire + kodai Fire Surge max hit 49 670gp cast max hits based on ancestral full occult necklace and tormented bracelet god cape (i) how come no guide uses tome of fire with fire surge?X)
You can kill 3 and possibly 4 of the brothers without praying by just having defensive gear on instead of graceful though. No need to waste prayer potions.
With the slayer staff and the slayer enchatment you need a level 75 to equip, I have 71 mage could I just use a mystic staff and use fire blasts and be okay?
Good video though. Can you talk about loot and stuff? m trying to see if barrows is even worth it without morty hard diaries done... Im getting 4-5 minute runs though.
The hard diary is easy AF , its the medium. I can never find anyone who wants to do the damn trouble brewing game, and its the worst minigame in the game lol! Any suggestions on that would be nice.
Yes it helps massively since all the brother except Ahrim's(weak to range) have next to no mage defence, I'd say the minimum magic level you'd want is 50 for Iban's blast with the Iban's staff(e).
@@crazyadam9281 seems I still splash a lot on them and they eat away at my prayer and I waste of a lot of prayer pots and money. Prob need some good gear for mage
So, what exactly do I need to start out barrows? You gave out some minimum stats and spells, sure, but the gear setup you gave is ridiculously expensive. Can't I use anything cheaper? Why aren't there different gear setups for broke, "average" wealth and what you showed?

" 6 prayer potions, which I don't actually need because I have 99 prayer, but you may" we get buddy.
Make sure you don't run out of bloods when going into the crips ^^
Good guide.
If using fire spells, the smoke battlestaff gives a 10% dmg and acc boost from any spell in the standard spell book. At around 2.5-2.7m cost.
I see the comments about the camera zoom its only small because (it looks like) youre playing in 4k. RuneLite has an option called "Stretched Mode" where it makes all the menu's and such bigger and easier to see. I play in 4k and had this problem until i found it its awesome!
I personally like Dharok > Verac > Ahrim > Karil > Guthan > Torag - Verac does ignore prayer at times, but he also hits hard so i prefer not to save him for last. With 70 prayer i manage to get to guthans before i run out, and i can tank the last 2 easy.
Awesome guide
This guide very helped,i just got the the robeskirt two days un a row
OHHH YEAHHH!!! Cool i learned i gotta kill some more dungeon dice monsters to get my potential up time to get ALL THE LOOT! OHHHH YEAHHHHH!!!
just did my first barrows run and got ahrim's staff and robeskirt, thanks for the info
Instead of RCB + broad bolts use Magic Shortbow (i) with Rune Arrows, cost only slightly higher but more dps
Also, having two sets of regular armor is just way too heavy, and you'll likely run out of energy in the crypt.
roberson644 no you don’t, i have 70 agility and wear full tank and never run out of energy
Yeah. Unfortunately the portal nexus came out way after I made this video. Mighty need some updating soon.
Your guide is completely fine man 10/10.

Yo, thanks for the great guide. Just got a Karil's leathertop for my first KC, thank you very much

It'd be nice if the item loadouts came with labels for people who don't know every piece of gear and are looking for what items to go for before starting.
i remember when guthans spear was 8m alone
what i do is i hop to world 330 when im done with a run then use house teletab, exit enter a maxed house and recharge then teletab to barrows. good guide overall!
let's make that quicker, right click the telehouse and click 'outside'

Been doing it this way since I had 70 prayer. Never had a problem.
Freaking awesome guide thank you
Best guide i've seen yet for a beginner getting into barrrows and i swear i must have seen 50 lol
its not though.
I'm starting to see that a lot of the baseless hate this guy gets is just from retards who don't even pay attention to what he says and think they know it all.
Barrows is an easy and sort of fun activity but I wish they would rework Ahrim's, Karil's and Torag's armor set abilities because they're extremely useless.
i agree, but if they were to rework lets say ahrims, it would skyrocket in price because the armor stats alone is really good
Hey guys i have a little tip he did not specify while your looting barrows when you enter the crypt the door with the lightest of color is the route you want to take the darker color doors are not accessible.
got ahrim's top my first run ahahaha thanks a ton man
you're welcome man.
actually a really good tutorial, literally covered everything, super thorough. thanks g
Are the barrows brothers "undead", like, would A salve amulet boost damage on them? I have imbued one cause of revs, so if they are just ghosts, could I use that?
Shouldve added time stamps tbh
Im high right now, this video is seeming like a fail to me :/ not trying to hate bro, 190k views, its just not getting me

Solid vid my man! Very informative
Love the series, would like one about kalphite queen & kbd
Med level just getting into bossing and I'd like some tips
Then you arent even going to do Kalphite, shes actually quite up there
Is it really necessary to go in there with magic and ranged, i got 65 range but my magic is a tad low, should i wait or can i just try?
Black salamander, tar, prayer pots, boom you got a barrows run
Hello, Looking for some advice here.
I'm a level 67 mage with the following stats:
40 att, 47 str, 51 def, 40 range, 44 prayer, 49 hp, and 76 mage.
It is very easy, yes.
is the leaf bladed axe viable as a cheap alternative for level 70, it has a way larger str bonus than d scim and is actually faster than normal battle axes
Honestly any melee weapon with a similar attack speed to the dragon scimitar or leaf bladed battle axe will work fine. The monsters in the catacombs are pretty weak.
can you melee-only the whole thing with enough food and prayer or do you absolutely need ranged and/or magic
Magic shortbow (I) is also a great option rune arrows are pretty cheap
what's a decent gear setup if you don't have full graceful?
I think melee tank gear would be the best since you don’t have to worry about mage accuracy, but don’t forget to take it off when fighting arhim.
i think anything but graceful lol. this setup forces lots of prayer pots and high combat stats. maxed ones pretty much.
"if your low level, or dont have much money thsi is the gear i would suggest" yeah... at a low low cost of 12-15m
if you dont have that much why are you even playing lol

yayy got dharok's platelegs on first go! :D
OK I'm a complete noob to barrows and osrs gear in general because I've just been skilling to make money and this guide was not friendly for me at all but I'm assuming it's because I'm supposed to do barrows later, I'm combat level 65
So do you kill a brother, loot their chest and move on to the next or do you kill all the brothers then loot their chests (or one chest total) - never tries this before
One total
Kill all bosses then go into crypt and kill last one then open chest
slayer enchantment bonus is task only
Awesome :)
So if you die doing this do you keep all of your gear since it's a mini game?
However, this setup will only work with people that have done underground pass since that quest is VERY important as it hits like crazy for only 50 mage!. i cant imagine this setup being more than 300k
i think full karils set could be kinda good for pking at revs. lowering their agility near that first shortcut could be nice :)
That was my initial thought too, but if you skull you'd be risking a bit
What app or screen resolution is he using.?
Thank you
You’re welcome! Good luck on loot!
So lets say for gear...
I have 74 magic
64 ranged
70 attack
74 str
66 des
52 prayer
For sets:
Ranged:
Uhmm red dragon hide with rune crossbow and addy bolts and fury amulet
Magic:
Magic smoke staff and full mystic and occult necklace
melee: whip/sara sword(for spec)
Fighter torso, neit helm, bandos tass, d boots, combat brace and a d'defender with obby cape and a berserker ring
Now i have never done barrows before and i do have some expensive items so im abit afraid..
Can anyone if you have the time say if what i have is ok for barrows runs and what should i bring from this equipment😅
I'd really appreciate it.
You can take all of that. Just bring your best gear you can for each attack style and use it. It is a safe boss/minigame. If you die, you'll keep your 3 most valuable items and untradable items. You'll have one hour to get back to your stuff to pick it up, just like normal.
At lv 70 stats you can do this boss with out ever banking.
if you only get the item from the boss you kill wouldn't the strategy be to just kill ahrim since he has the most expensive item?
Well no, because then you'd ONLY get the chance to receive ahrim's items from the chest. Which would be like a 1 in 102 chance. So you're throwing out all the chances to get other items 1 in 17 times if you kill all the brothers. Plus, ahrims hood and staff are very cheap. So you'd just be drastically lowering the GP/hour if you did that.
Legend
void ranged and mystic with fire bolt is more than enough for me lol and im 60 cb
A fun drinking game: Every time he says "Barrows Brothers" take a shot. *Dies*
Probably better to just kill them all and get lucky on some double chests.
trident of the sea max hit 34 (38 imbued) 407gp cast - 99 magic
trident of the svamp max hit 38 (40) imbued 621 gp cast - 99 magic
tome of fire + kodai Fire Surge max hit 49 670gp cast
max hits based on ancestral full occult necklace and tormented bracelet god cape (i)
how come no guide uses tome of fire with fire surge?X)
fire surge is slower, it's more efficient until around level 85 magic i believe, but a more click intense setup.
Probably far more expensive with pages, and trident hits faster
You can kill 3 and possibly 4 of the brothers without praying by just having defensive gear on instead of graceful though. No need to waste prayer potions.
With the slayer staff and the slayer enchatment you need a level 75 to equip, I have 71 mage could I just use a mystic staff and use fire blasts and be okay?
Should be just fine
What is your clan chat? I am looking for a clan to enhance my runescape experience

Yes it helps massively since all the brother except Ahrim's(weak to range) have next to no mage defence, I'd say the minimum magic level you'd want is 50 for Iban's blast with the Iban's staff(e).

Barrows is doable with 59 but if you're struggling you may want to get it up to maybe 65-70.

Yes, most of the brothers have low magic defense, making maging the optimal strategy
Fail for mentioning the enormous prayer drain you'll experience while there.
the slayerdartb(e) only boost on slayertask monsters wont make any diffrence on barrows?

That’s fine for getting loot potential. If

@@AsukaYenOSRS Okay, thanks!
So, what exactly do I need to start out barrows? You gave out some minimum stats and spells, sure, but the gear setup you gave is ridiculously expensive. Can't I use anything cheaper? Why aren't there different gear setups for broke, "average" wealth and what you showed?
I listed off a bunch of items you could use in place of more expensive stuff. I also mentioned it doesn't really matter what you use. Use the highest level battle spell you can use, and a rune crossbow, and whatever melee weapon you have and you're set.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I keep losing money every run and yet everyone makes it seem like this is the best way to make money.
