Gotta love the sound of a decent exhaust on an m60. The X-pipe is key on the v8's especially to take advantage of the scavenging, and the resonators to get rid of the rasp. Glad its mandrel bent as well. Good shit dude. Steering wheels are such an overlooked 'mod.' Its the difference from a nice sharp quick lock to lock vs. the 'driving a bus' feel. I like the looks of the steering shaft. I used to swap out the donut for a poly or aluminum bushing, but that piece takes it to whole other level. Its a good upgrade to steering feel, and frankly I'm surprised more people dont do it. You can do a pretty damn close "toe-n-go" ghetto alignment with some strings and homemade toe plates or levels. I've been able to get a 'close enough' result about 99% of the time. You can at least get it tolerable enough to drive for awhile or until you decide to put it on the rack. Your hair gets crazy everytime you're working on the car, and then when you finish the job it seems to tame itself back down. It makes me think "mad scientist" kinda. LMFAO just messing dude, excellent work, and thank you for sharing this as always broski!!! ☺️

is the late model steering column a pain to pull? i might have to pull mine because my splines are fucked up on it so my momo hub is basically seized onto it. think i would try to put an early model one back in tho for ease of install. im afraid when i pull the hub off it'll fuck the spines up to the point where it'll no longer hold the wheel in place.

I don't think either were too bad to pull, if it hasn't been pulled before though they're a little seized on the top 'slider' bolts. I had to hammer it out after loosening the 13mm clamp at the firewall and the 13s on the firewall itself...
The early and late model column have a different 'base' though so the bolts holing it to the firewall won't line up, I did a sketchy there, hmu on insta @hamdoesthing and I'll help you out with pics when you get around to it

@@DENVERBEERANDOIL awesome, good to know. thanks hamish! hoping the next time i pull the hub it'll just slide back on again without too much issue but it's something i'll probly tackle this year.

No worries! Iirc the splines might be different on the columns as well, or steering wheel spacing, but either way if your hub is aluminum it'll give up before the column will

@@DENVERBEERANDOIL yeah the momo hub i got with the car was seized on and when i pulled it off (took like a straight our of yanking on it) it took out like.. some chunks horizontally against the 'grain' of the splines on the shaft. the hub was ruined so i got a new one which is also seized onto it just bc i needed it to drive bc it's my daily

They're the flowmaster fx series, not sure other than that, the local exhaust shop recommended them!
